Chapter 4078: A Small Favor
Chapter 4078: A Small Favor
Now out of the Zizinda Clan, Hick asked what he wanted. "We need to get to the border of the Universe."
"To the border?" Pala didn’t expect such a request. "Do you perhaps intend to receive something from outside?"
Hick smiled, taking out his CD and showing a certain location in the C44 Universe Chart.
"This..." Pala looked at him. "But sir, that place..."
"I obviously know that place," Hick cut in. "Can you bring us there without anyone knowing? I know that region is protected by many different formations, so we have to get inside undetected."
Pala swallowed hard. He didn’t know much about that place other than that it was out of the limits for everyone in C44. No one knew exactly why, and even the Universe Owner himself was kept in the dark. That place was created during the ’reign’ of the previous Owner, after all.
Hick continued. "I will warn you from the very start. The events that will follow cannot be revealed to anyone. It is because your Universe Owner entrusted you to us that we are risking letting you know we want to go there. If you weren’t up to the task, your Universe Owner wouldn’t have selected you, right?"
That put Pala in a dilemma. Was it okay to bring these people there? But then again, they came from A1 and got the Werdlem Empire’s green light to come here. Well, more like the Zentian Empire, but the Werdlem Empire had to approve the use of the Shifter. And yes, Clafiu did entrust the twins’ group to him, saying he should do everything to help them, no questions asked. "Well, we are also responsible for keeping the middle and outermost formations running. I have the authority to get your group through them. However, the core region’s formations are not managed by us. In fact, we don’t even know exactly who manages them or if someone manages them at all."
Hick was satisfied. "That’s more than enough. Once again, this has to be kept out of the books. Do you think you can do that? If you provide a proper service, there will be a reward waiting for you. Let’s see... I can feel it. You have already absorbed your Celestial Laws, right? What about a slot to try BH1 in the Werdlem Universe?"
Pala’s eyes lit up. He hasn’t even managed to acquire a slot for the normal Great Void Black Holes out in the Great Void, let alone get a slot to use the Werdlem Universe one. He didn’t even know if he would ever be able to visit the Werdlem Universe in the first place. "Can you really do that?"
Hick looked at him in surprise. "Wait, you know we are here under the Zentian Empire’s name of A1, and you are asking such an idiotic question?"
Rean and Kentucky looked at each other. It was actually the two of them who were operating with the Zentian Empire’s name, not Hick.
At the same time, they received a Divine Sense Message from Hick. ’You can do that, right?’
’Well... if we ask Zanbril nicely... probably?’ Rean answered.
"Ahem..." Pala quickly boarded that train. "Doubting you was obviously my mistake. Don’t worry, friends. I will bring you through the formations without any issues. But before that..."
Pala looked at Hick. He obviously wanted some kind of confirmation that he could be given that slot in BH1.
Hick glanced at Rean and Kentucky, who sighed in response. Rean took out his CD, not expecting he would have to call Zanbril so early.
On the other side, Zanbril answered the call. -Already? I thought Roan would take a while to finish that cultivation technique you talked about.-
The deal they had with Zanbril was that they could get him to become stronger, even though he already had the support of the Zentian Empire. Naturally, the fastest method was a cultivation technique tailored for him. Roan got all the information from Zanbril, his abilities, affinities, perks, and such, and was indeed working on it.
"Not quite," Rean answered. "He is still in the process of analyzing your traits, so it will take a few days until an early version is produced. I called you because I need a favor from you."
Then, Rean explained the situation to Zanbril. Of course, only that he needed a slot for an expert in C44, not that they intended to do something there.
-Listen, I know I told you that getting you to BH1 wouldn’t be a problem, but that doesn’t mean you can now go out there and promise every single John Doe a slot for BH1 as well. There are some steps to be taken here, and I don’t even know what the hell you are doing in C44.-
Rean scratched the back of his head. "How about me adding a special pill that you won’t get anywhere else. On top of the cultivation technique, this pill should help you improve your own talent to a certain extent. Would you be interested?"
-A pill that can improve talent? We have some of this type, but they aren’t of much help for me anymore.- As expected of the Zentian Empire. They, too, had those pills.
However, the twins’ pill was different. It was the Blood Reformation Pill, created based on the system’s Blood Reformation Skill from back in the Soul Gem System. "Oh, don’t worry. This is definitely different from anything you got so far. The improvement won’t be anything that big since you already have a high talent yourself. However, it is still a step forward."
Zanbril pondered a bit and nodded in the end. -Very well. I will take that deal. Give me the Werdlem ID of the guy you want to send to BH1. However, he will have to fork out the costs to go there and come back on his own.-
Rean nodded, looking at Pala. "I got you the slot, but you have to pay for the trip. Is that fine?"
Pala couldn’t be happier. Would that Shift be expensive? You bet it would! But compared to using BH1 to try to break through into the Celestial Realm, that was nothing! Even better, if he succeeded in reaching the Celestial Realm, he could move to a Rank B or A Universe since he wouldn’t be able to return to C44 anymore. "That’s absolutely no problem!"
And so, just a few hours later, Pala received the confirmation from the Werdlem Empire itself. There was no doubt it was 100% legit. One of the powers managing BH1 already added him to the list, and he would be able to attempt a breakthrough in just a little over a thousand years. No contracts or anything else were required.
Pala was excited beyond imagination, but looking at the smile on Hick’s face, he quickly controlled himself. Then, patting his chest, he spoke with confidence. "This trip never happened. I never delivered anyone to that region, nor did I get them through the outermost and middle area formations of that place. For all intents and purposes, I brought you sightseeing throughout the C44 Universe."
Hick patted his back. "That’s more like it."
