Chapter 4563: Discussion
Chapter 4563: Discussion
Things became quite chaotic all over Dlaval City. The Rosvelt Sect eventually had to issue a statement, assuring everyone that everything was under control. However, how many cultivators truly believed that?
There were far too many experts in Woster, including numerous Law Gods. Even if they weren’t High-Elders of Rosvelt, they were still powerful enough to understand the significance of what they had witnessed. After seeing the strange phenomena in the sky and its ’collapse,’ even those cultivators began to wonder if something had happened to Woster’s long-standing restrictions.
Some of these Law Gods, especially those who were already very old, decided to take the risk and fly toward the area where the Ghost of Woster was supposed to appear. They had spent their entire lives believing that crossing that boundary meant certain death, but the situation had clearly changed.
In the end, it only took a day for the news to spread throughout Woster.
Several Law Gods from different powers had gone beyond the limit of this world and returned safely. Other than some Godly Creatures they had to fight along the way, nothing else had happened to them. The Ghost was gone, and so was whatever had been preventing everyone from leaving.
It almost felt as if the floodgates had been opened.
Many Law Gods from the various powers immediately began gathering resources, intending to explore the outside world. Above all, those at the Peak Stage of the Law God Realm suddenly saw something they had never dared to hope for before.
A chance!
A chance to break through into the Region God Realm! In fact, they didn’t even know what the next realm was called because of their long isolation.
Truth be told, due to Woster’s unique characteristics, many of its Peak Stage Law Gods were already ready to attempt the breakthrough into the Region God Realm. They simply didn’t know it yet. After all, it was the environment of Woster that limited one’s cultivation to the Peak Stage of the Law God Realm as well. In the following years, the first one of them would succeed in doing exactly that.
Of course, there was no point in talking about things that would happen years later. At the moment, the twins’ group had already arrived at the Teleport Array on the south side of Dlaval City.
—
The commercial building where the teleport array was located was even more crowded than usual. After all, the news that it was now possible to leave Woster had only just spread, and everyone was already stocking up on resources for the many explorations that were about to take place.
Some cultivators were preparing for short trips to see what existed beyond Woster, while others were clearly planning to remain outside for much longer. The sudden freedom had caused the entire city to become restless.
Because of that, no one paid much attention to the newcomers who had just entered the building.
Who were the newcomers?
Obviously, it was the twins and the rest of their group.
Their faces could still be seen on the wanted posters scattered throughout Dlaval City, but Rean made sure to keep his Light Bending Skill active. It wasn’t necessary to make them completely invisible. He only needed to make it difficult for anyone to focus on them, and with the entire building filled with cultivators coming and going, that was more than enough.
As they walked toward the chamber where the Teleport Array was located, Rean noticed Thery, Sison, and Haniala walking very close to Azerion. The sight immediately reminded him of the conversation they had had the day before.
—
Back when the isolation had just been taken down, Thery had told Azerion that he must come with them.
"Come with you? Why?" Azerion asked. "Just because your group kept your word, it doesn’t mean I trust you entirely."
Thery quickly spoke. "We felt that lock in our bloodlines being released, and whether it was by instinct or not, we’re pretty sure that the thing that stuck our ascension to this part of the Celestial Plane was related to the calamity you caused back then."
Azerion nodded. He had heard the entire story from Rean, after all. "It is possible indeed. The Power of- I mean, Rean called it the Echo. Anyway, the Echo in Woster was likely connected to your so-called Goslau Great Void, and the fact that my bloodline runes were used makes it pretty obvious that both things are related."
"However, I knew nothing about that. By the time everything happened, Woster had already been isolated for countless years. I didn’t even know these Great Voids or whatever existed, let alone that I had messed with your ascensions. What exactly do you expect me to do about it?"
Thery knew that. It was obvious that Azerion wasn’t particularly concerned about them. Why would he be? Azerion might be physically weak at the moment, but he was still a Peak Stage Law God. Even if Thery and Arcis joined forces, at most they could defeat Azerion. Capturing or killing him would be an entirely different matter.
Well, that wasn’t Thery’s intention anyway. "If we wanted to take you by force, why would we wait until you woke up before making our move? Does that make any sense in your mind?"
Azerion closed his eyes for a moment, considering Thery’s words, and then nodded. "You’re right. I’ll admit that you at least don’t seem to want revenge, then. But that doesn’t mean I trust you yet. So, why do I need to come with you? Your home is in that Natak Region or something, right? What are you expecting of me there?"
Thery pointed at the Thousand-Script Race runes running around Azerion’s body. "You might not have noticed it yet, but your bloodline seems to have evolved somehow due to your long interaction with that ancient array. We would like to learn more about it. Our Natak Region is willing to support you in whatever way you require if you let us research your bloodline."
Azerion narrowed his eyes. "Do you want to experiment on me?"
"Don’t get me wrong." Thery shook his head. "We obviously have no intention of doing anything to you that could potentially harm your cultivation or bloodline. First of all, if we did that, we’d also be losing a lot. Our Thousand-Script Race isn’t made up of idiots."
Sison joined the conversation. "Also, Senior Azerion is a Peak Stage Law God. We wouldn’t have any chance of really capturing you anyway. Our Natak Region only has five Law Gods, and only one of them is at the Peak Stage. Above all, none of them has the natural resistance against Godly Pressure that Senior does. We are simply not a risk to you."
Rean smiled and patted Azerion’s shoulder. "I have to say that it would be a very good deal for you. Natak Region has kept its word with us from Besgol Region during all this time. Also... you’ll soon find out that the world outside works in a very different way from Woster."
Everyone nodded.
The Regions worked together and prioritized union rather than deceit. Besides, the addition of a new Peak Stage Law God would be seen as nothing but a huge boost to Natak Region. They definitely wouldn’t want to get on Azerion’s bad side, that’s for sure. A cultivator of his level was valuable enough that the entire Region would have every reason to treat him carefully.
Azerion narrowed his eyes as he heard more about how the world worked outside. It was especially difficult for him to believe because he had been betrayed by Tany, who had also been an outsider when she entered Woster.
Still, it had really been far too long since that happened.
Thousands of Law Gods had been born and died since that time. The outside world had changed countless times, and Azerion had no reason to assume that everything was still the same as it had been when Tany arrived. First of all, just because Tany betrayed him, it didn’t mean everything and everyone outside acted like her.
Azerion then looked in the direction of Dlaval City and thought about it for a moment. No one said anything, patiently waiting for his response. Finally, after a long silence, he made his decision.
"Sigh... my own original home has long since disappeared, and I myself never had children, so there is no such thing as descendants of mine in Woster. Considering that I’ll still be pursued if I stay, perhaps joining a Region where my Thousand-Script Race is predominant isn’t a bad idea."
Thery’s eyes lit up. "Great! You won’t regret it. If anything, you’ll see just how respected someone like you can really become in a place like our Natak Region."
