Chapter 1293 The Final Meeting

Chapter 1293  The Final Meeting

"How is the preparation for the Celestial Beast Temple going?" Max asked, shifting the direction of the conversation as soon as he noticed the mood in the hall turning somber. His tone was steady, nudging the leaders away from the weight of ancient history and back to the matters at hand.

"It is done," Freya replied, her voice composed despite the tension in the room. "We are fully prepared to open the secret domain of the Four God Nation. The Celestial Beast Temple is located within that domain, and the pathways have been stabilized. We can access it whenever you decide."

"Good," Max said with a small nod. "There is no need to worry about the demons in Acaris anymore. I have someone taking care of them, and soon the entire world will be free from their presence."

His eyes narrowed slightly as he continued. "In fact, we should enter the secret domain of the Four God Nation as quickly as possible. When I returned from Nullaria, I sensed that the red cloud had already spread into other regions of the Middle Domain."

Hermes leaned forward, his expression darkening. "Not only the surrounding regions, but all areas connected to the Middle Domain have begun showing traces of it. We attempted multiple methods to weaken or dismantle the red cloud. Everything we tried, from elemental bombardment to domain suppression, failed. The red cloud absorbed every attack we launched and grew stronger from it. Our efforts were completely ineffective."

Max's frown deepened as he listened. The red cloud was far more dangerous than he initially suspected. If it continued to expand, it could swallow the entire continent and possibly the entire realm. This was not something he could ignore.

"What about the backup plan?" Max asked firmly. "Have all humans been stored safely inside the rings?"

President William stood from his seat and gave a solemn nod. "It is done. Every being, whether from the Lower Domain or Middle Domain, has been placed inside the Life Space Rings you provided. They are safe for now. Even if the red cloud consumes everything outside, the people will remain untouched within those small worlds."

A ripple of relief passed through the hall, but it did little to ease the underlying dread. The red cloud was unnatural, unstoppable by conventional means, and growing faster than anyone predicted. Saving the people was only the first step. What remained was confronting the cause.

Max looked at each leader in turn, his gaze steady. The preparations had been completed. The people were safe. The demons were being eliminated. Now the path ahead led only to one place.

The Celestial Beast Temple.

And whatever answers waited beyond its gates.

"I say we should open the secret domain of the Four God Nation within a week," Max declared after taking a moment to consider all the variables laid before him. His voice carried a firmness that left no room for hesitation. "As for who will enter the secret domain, you can decide that among yourselves. Choose the people who will not falter once the temple reveals its trials."

He looked around the hall, making sure every leader understood that this decision was in their hands, not his. The Four God Nation and its allied forces needed to make the choice willingly, for whatever awaited inside that ancient domain would undoubtedly reshape the power structure of the entire world.

Lucien raised his hand slightly, drawing Max's attention. "What about the Demon General?" he asked with visible concern. "We all know that if the Demon General were to descend into Acaris, this world would fall into chaos before anyone could respond. Should we prepare for that possibility?"

Max shook his head and allowed a small smile to form. "It will not be a problem anymore," he said confidently. "Fortunately, we went to Nullaria at the right time. Had we been delayed even by a little, the Demon General would have been successfully summoned by now and this world would be facing a disaster none of us could handle together. But as things stand, the summoning ritual can no longer be completed. The required demon kings are dead, and their numbers cannot be replaced. We do not need to worry about the Demon General anymore."

Lucien nodded slowly as the tension in his shoulders softened. "That is good," he said, allowing a relieved breath to escape. His reaction was mirrored by several others in the hall.

The threat of the Demon General had loomed over their continent like a silent storm. Knowing it had been prevented brought a weightless feeling to the room, even if the challenges ahead remained immense.

The leaders exchanged glances, realizing how much depended on their next actions. The truth about the divine beasts, the corruption of the crownbearer, the expansion of the red cloud, and the hidden power of the Celestial Beast Temple had changed everything.

The secret domain was no longer a mere inheritance ground. It had become the next decisive step for the future of their world.

"I do not think we will have the luxury to sit and discuss who will fight Mark once we return his other two souls," Max said, breaking the momentary calm that lingered in the hall. His voice carried a gravity that caused several leaders to straighten in their seats. "I had a brief encounter with him in Nullaria. During that moment I could sense his intent clearly. He has absolutely made up his mind to kill me the moment he regains his full strength. There is no room for negotiation, no possibility of convincing him otherwise."

A heavy silence spread across the room as Max's words settled in. The thought of facing the fully restored crownbearer was daunting even to the strongest figures present. Mark had once been the protector of Acaris, the guardian assigned by the heavens.

His fall had made him an enemy beyond comprehension, and restoring his missing soul fragments would return him to his peak state, which was something none of them had ever faced.

Max continued with calm decisiveness. "So I will fight Mark directly."

Max then turned to his sister. "Sis," he said, his tone softening slightly although the seriousness remained. "You will be the one to strike when Mark reaches his weakest moment. I will wear him down until he reaches a point where even he cannot stabilize himself. That is when you move. Your attack will need to shake him so deeply that he cannot recover quickly. The timing must be perfect."

She nodded slowly, understanding the weight of what Max was entrusting her with.

Max's expression hardened as he looked at the leaders gathered around the table. "After that, we will still need someone who can deliver the final blow. That person must be powerful, determined, and unyielding. But more importantly, that person must belong to this world. Only a being from Acaris can end the life of the crownbearer. Anyone not born of this world will be unable to finish him no matter how strong they are."

A murmur spread through the hall as the leaders exchanged troubled glances. They understood the implications. The crownbearer could not be killed by outsiders, not even Max despite his overwhelming potential. The finishing strike had to come from someone tied to Acaris by birth and law.

"And we have Lucien for that." Max turned to Lucien at this point.

"Leave it to me." Lucien said smiling.
