Chapter 1739: Slaughter!
Chapter 1739: Slaughter!
The thousands of demons looked up.
Their faces changed instantly.
Even the most savage among them felt fear grip their hearts when they saw the endless golden crosses spread across the sky like stars of judgment. The purity of the light suppressed their demonic energy, the space concept sealed their escape routes, and the sheer number of constructs made resistance feel almost meaningless.
Some demons roared and released black flames toward the sky, some formed defensive shields around their bodies, some tried to tear open space and escape the dimension, while others charged toward Max in desperate fury, hoping to kill him before the attack descended.
But Max only lowered his hand.
“Fall.”
The sky collapsed in golden light.
Countless cross-shaped constructs descended at once.
They did not fall like ordinary weapons. They vanished from the sky and appeared directly above their targets through distorted space, bypassing distance and ignoring most defensive formations. A demon had just raised his shield when a golden cross appeared over his head and pierced straight through him, splitting his body apart in a burst of divine radiance.
Another demon tried to dodge to the side, but space folded around him, and the cross that should have missed appeared directly in his path, pinning him to the luminous ground before exploding into a storm of light.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Explosions erupted everywhere.
The Dimension of Light became a world of endless judgment.
Golden crosses fell in infinite numbers, striking the demon army from above, from the sides, from behind, and even from beneath their feet as space twisted under Max’s control. Every impact released a burst of radiant force that tore through demonic bodies, shattered armor, burned away dark energy, and crushed the soul-like aura hidden within many of them.
The demons screamed, roared, and cursed, but their voices were drowned beneath the continuous thunder of divine light striking the ground.
Nancy stood beside Max, stunned into silence.
The golden light did not harm her.
It curved around her like flowing water, as if the dimension itself recognized that she was not an enemy. But everywhere else, the demons were being slaughtered. Some tried to gather together and form a huge demonic barrier, but dozens of light crosses descended upon the same point at once, their fifth level space concept overlapping until the barrier was sliced apart from the inside.
Some stronger demons attempted to counterattack, but their skills were swallowed by the endless radiance before they could even reach Max.
This was not a battle.
It was an execution.
Karo’s expression twisted with disbelief and rage as golden crosses descended toward him from every direction. He released his Abyssal Grave of the Fallen again in desperation, causing black-red mist and tombstones to rise around him as he tried to resist the incoming judgment, but compared to the power he had displayed inside the arena, his aura was clearly weaker after losing once to Max.
Even so, the Abyssal Grave still spread outward with terrifying force, forming a grave-like domain around him in an attempt to bury the falling light.
But inside the Dimension of Light, Max’s inheritance technique was far too powerful.
The first wave of golden crosses tore into the black-red mist and split it apart.
The second wave shattered the tombstones before they could fully form.
The third wave pierced directly into the heart of the Abyssal Grave of the Fallen, causing Karo’s Pseudo Cosmic Path to tremble violently. Each cross carried not only divine light, but also the fifth level concept of space, and every impact distorted the structure of Karo’s path until the grave-like domain began collapsing in pieces.
“No!” Karo roared, his voice filled with fury and fear. “Not again!”
Max looked at him from afar with cold eyes.
Then several hundred cross-shaped constructs appeared above Karo at the same time.
They fell together.
Boom!
Karo’s Abyssal Grave of the Fallen shattered completely once more, and before he could escape, the golden crosses pierced through his body from every direction. His demonic energy was torn apart, his body was pinned in the air by radiant spatial force, and in the next breath, he was swallowed by a blinding explosion of golden light.
Karo was killed again.
Munro was not spared either.
When the golden crosses began falling, Munro had already erupted with all his strength. His huge black blade released a terrifying demonic pressure, and his body swelled as dense black-red markings spread across his skin, making him look like an ancient demon war god standing within a storm of light.
He swung his blade again and again, shattering dozens of golden constructs with pure force, and for a brief moment, his strength truly surpassed most of the demons around him. Each slash tore open a dark path through the radiance, and every roar from him sent shockwaves across the luminous ground.
But the constructs did not end.
For every cross Munro shattered, ten more appeared.
For every gap he carved open, space folded and filled it again.
The fifth level space concept made the light constructs impossible to avoid through ordinary movement, and the Dimension of Light strengthened them endlessly, as if the entire world was feeding power into Max’s attack.
Munro’s arms began to tremble. Cracks appeared across his black blade. The demonic markings on his body dimmed beneath the pressure of the divine radiance. Still, he roared and charged forward, his eyes locked on Max with savage hatred.
“Max!” Munro thundered. “Fight me directly if you dare!”
Max looked at him calmly.
“You are not worth that much effort.”
Munro’s eyes widened with fury.
The next instant, thousands of golden crosses appeared above him.
Munro raised his blade with both hands and released one final roar, but the endless constructs descended before he could move again. The first hundred shattered his blade. The next hundred pierced through his shoulders, arms, legs, chest, and back.
Then the remaining crosses fell like a golden rain of execution, tearing through his body again and again until his enormous figure was completely drowned in radiant spatial power.
Boom!
Munro exploded into nothingness.
His aura vanished.
His roar disappeared.
Only a wave of Killing Points scattered from the place where he had stood.
