Chapter 1993: Primal Treasure!
Chapter 1993: Primal Treasure!
"You should first understand the structure of the five universes," Arvantos said. "Each of the five first races exists within its own universe. We Primordials belong to this universe. The Devil Race has its own universe. The Spirit Race has its own universe. The Angel Race and Dragon Race also each occupy their own universe. In other words, apart from ours, there are four other universes outside."
The ten geniuses stared at the star map without blinking.
Arvantos continued, "The arrangement of these five universes is unusual. Our universe is positioned at the center, while the other four universes surround it. This arrangement has existed since ancient times. No one knows whether it was formed naturally or arranged by an existence beyond our understanding."
The central universe on the star map glowed faintly.
"Because of this structure, the other four races have always believed that our universe hides something special. More specifically, they believe our universe contains the entrance to a god-like realm."
"A god-like realm?" Orion asked, his voice filled with disbelief.
Arvantos nodded. "A realm beyond the five universes. A place that may contain opportunities to break through the final barrier and step into the True God Realm."
The eyes of all ten geniuses changed.
True God Realm.
Even for them, that was a realm that sounded distant and almost mythical.
Arvantos explained, "You should understand that even among the first races, reaching the peak is not the same as transcending all limitations. The so-called True God Realm is believed to be a level beyond the normal ceiling of the five universes. It is said that those who enter that realm may no longer be bound by the laws of their birth universe. They may stand above ordinary fate, lifespan, law, and cosmic restriction."
He shook his head slightly.
"But belief is not proof."
Ervin looked at him with curiosity. "Does such a place really exist in our universe?"
Arvantos sighed. "We do not know."
That answer made everyone frown.
He continued, "We have searched our entire universe for countless years. The Primordial Race searched. The ancient sacred clans searched. Other first-rate forces also searched in secret. We examined forbidden regions, ancient ruins, collapsed star realms, sealed worlds, cosmic rifts, and places where the laws behaved strangely. Yet we never found anything that could truly be called the entrance to a god realm."
His gaze became distant.
"Even during the last war, when the enemy tried to force their way toward the place they believed to be the entrance, we investigated that location thoroughly after the war ended. There was nothing there. No gate. No hidden realm. No divine passage. Nothing that could explain why the devils had been so obsessed with it."
Max’s eyes narrowed slightly.
Arvantos continued, "However, that belief was enough to ignite war. The other races wanted to find the entrance first. The Devil Race wanted to seize it by force. The Angel Race and Dragon Race watched from outside, each with their own motives. The Spirit Race remained the most restrained, but even they could not completely ignore a rumor involving the True God Realm."
His voice grew heavier.
"That was the reason the great war broke out hundreds of thousands of years ago. A war that pushed both the Divine Realm and Mortal Realm to the edge of destruction."
The hall became quiet again.
Arvantos then added, "By now, I suspect the other races may have also realized that our universe may not contain the entrance they once imagined. At the very least, if it does exist, it is not something that can be found through ordinary searching or brute force. But that does not mean they will leave us alone."
Damian’s eyes were cold. "Because they already see our universe as a target."
"Exactly," Arvantos said. "Once a race invades another universe, hatred does not disappear simply because the original goal becomes uncertain. The Devil Race lost warriors during the last war. We killed many of their experts. They killed many of ours. Blood debts were formed, territories were ruined, and both sides remembered the humiliation. Even if the entrance to the God Realm is only a false legend, the devils still have reasons to return."
His expression became grim.
"And among the Devil Race, there is one being we must be especially wary of."
Max looked at him.
Arvantos said, "Devil Emperor Abaddon."
The name alone seemed to make the atmosphere in the hall colder.
"One of the leaders of the Devil Race," Arvantos continued. "A ruthless conqueror who cares nothing for life outside his own ambition. He is not the kind of ruler who invades only because of a legend. If he wants something, he will move armies to obtain it. If a world resists, he will slaughter it. If a universe blocks his path, he will try to burn through that universe until nothing remains."
His gaze swept across the ten geniuses.
"If Abaddon is behind this invasion, then we cannot assume the devils are only testing us. He may be preparing for something much larger."
The pressure in the hall became suffocating.
Arvantos looked back at the star map. "With the Devil Race making a move, and with the Angel Race and Dragon Race watching from beyond the boundaries, the long-term situation does not look good for us if war truly begins again."
Max remained silent for a moment before asking, "How did the devils enter our universe from theirs? And why now? It has been peaceful for almost a hundred thousand years. What changed?"
Arvantos turned to him.
"Our universe shares boundaries with the other four universes. That boundary is called the Wall of Eternity."
The star map changed again.
A vast translucent barrier appeared around the central universe. It was not a simple wall made of stone, metal, or energy. It looked like a cosmic membrane formed from countless layers of law, space, time, fate, and origin. It separated the five universes from one another while still allowing them to exist within the same greater cosmic structure.
"As the name suggests, the Wall of Eternity is almost eternal," Arvantos said. "Its durability is worthy of that name. Under normal circumstances, it cannot be broken by armies, ordinary treasures, or even most supreme experts. It is not only a physical barrier. It is a law boundary that prevents the universes from collapsing into one another."
He raised his hand, and a tiny point of darkness appeared on one side of the barrier.
"But almost impossible does not mean completely impossible."
Everyone stared at the point of darkness.
"With enough power, and with the help of a treasure at the level of a Primal Treasure, even the Wall of Eternity can be pierced. Not destroyed. Not shattered. Only pierced enough to create a temporary or narrow passage."
Orion swallowed. "A Primal Treasure can do that?"
Arvantos nodded. "A true Primal Treasure is not merely a powerful weapon. Each one was born from a source older than the current order of the five universes. They carry authority that can affect the structure of reality itself. If used properly, one of them can change the flow of a war. If used recklessly, it can destroy entire star regions."
He looked at the dark point on the wall.
"If I am not wrong, the devils possess one of the five Primal Treasures. They must have spent the last hundred thousand years storing energy inside it. They waited, accumulated, prepared, and concealed their movements until that treasure finally held enough power to pierce a small hole through the Wall of Eternity."
His voice became heavier with every word.
"And through that hole, the devils have invaded our universe."
