Chapter 4403: Edward's Battle

The two of them clashed, and a young man clad in blue robes instantly gained the advantage, throwing him out of bounds.

"You-"

The one who was sent out pointed at the other genius, who grinned at him. He was about to get back in when a furious voice resounded.

"Stop!"

He froze, turning to look at his Realm Master, who stopped him.

Unable to do anything, he clenched his teeth and flew back with his head held low. However, he did not forget to shoot a cold look at the genius and make a throat-cutting gesture.

That young man just sneered before he turned to look at Edward, "I look forward to receiving some pointers."

"Shall we start?"

Edward smiled as he descended.

"Of course."

The young man smiled and got into a battle posture, but abruptly, a bolt of blue-black lightning hit his head from above, causing him to be burned to a crisp. He shuddered and stepped back, still appearing able to battle. However, Edward quickly arrived beside him, sparks flying while he kept a hand before his neck.

"You're done. Give up."

"You… you have the power of the Skystorm Ravaging Lightning Wisp?"

"Indeed."

Edward answered calmly. However, his expression was unable to hide his smile full of pride.

The Skystorm Ravaging Lightning Wisp was a lightning spirit, ranked fourth in the Heaven-Tier of Immortal Grade Spirit Charts. It was said to be utterly fast and could even weave through a storm without getting injured in the slightest.

"…"

The crowd was shocked. The Divine Emperor of Death's little brother had defeated another Kingly Monarch effortlessly. It was ridiculous. Just how many capable people did the Divine Emperor of Death have? How were they all powerful!?

"I admit defeat."

The young man clad in blue robes announced his surrender before he turned around and left with an angry look on his face. He was pissed that he wasn't able to show anything. But halfway, he realized that it wasn't that he was able to show anything, but he wasn't able to do anything. He was utterly suppressed.

"You there-yes, you. Don't leave. Let's fight."

Edward invited the young genius who was pushed away from the battle arena. He was still on the edge.

But right now, he looked as though he wanted to hide as he looked away, acting as though he was still engaged in a conversation with his Realm Master.

Edward folded his hands, waiting with an amused look on his face.

Right now, he had grown into a fine man, appearing handsome with his looks and charming with his purple eyes. He cast a look towards the Davis Family and waved his hands towards his two wives, Jaslyn and Aiz. They were practically staring at him, their eyes glowing with stars, making him chuckle.

His previous opponent had been from the Righteous Horn Lower Realm, which was said to be stronger using physical might, so it was understandable that he was able to withstand his lightning strike somehow. However, Edward knew it wouldn't be the same for the other genius who appeared to be from the Mirage Sands Lower Realm.

Their powers lied in creating illusions and attacking mentally. But having the Skystorm Ravaging Lightning Wisp changes things for Edward as it wasn't going to be affected by illusions since its Will was naturally strong in order to traverse any time of storm.

Hence, he could understand why this supreme genius from the Mirage Sands Lower Realm wouldn't face him.

Still, Edward didn't care. Unless he met an Empyreal Monarch, these challenges wouldn't faze him one bit.

Eventually, the Realm Masters agreed that a realm would be able to challenge only a single time, and since no one was stepping out, the Mirage Sands Realm Master had no choice but to send his disciple out.

That young genius was sent flying back from the illusory state of mist he was hiding in.

Edward won for the third time, causing him to turn to look at his big brother.

"This should be enough, no?"

"Little brother, why are you smug after beating up some supreme geniuses? I expect more from you."

"Ugh…"

Edward had no words to say. He wasn't a Divergent for heaven's sake.

Being an Empyreal Monarch after taking a diluted Gilded Realm Ascendant Pill of Minor Realm was already the best he could do. He didn't have a physique nor anything special other than a Heaven-Tier Lightning Spirit that he had bought using the contribution points he earned from teaching the kids. It was quite high-paying.

"I will do my best to meet your expectations, big brother." Nonetheless, he obediently replied.

"That's good. Now come, receive your reward."

Davis took out a Mid-Level Empyrean Grade lightning-attributed ingredient, which Edward gladly accepted. He looked at the spherical-shaped golden fruit that had sparks running all over it like veins. If he wasn't wrong, he knew it was the Goldtriad Burst Lightning Fruit that nourishes the lightning, no matter if it is smooth, berserk, or yin in nature.

Once he ate it, he knew his lightning's quality would become more powerful, becoming on par with his spirit or even more powerful!

Edward thanked Davis again before he moved back to his seat.

"Now then-"

Davis looked at the people, his gaze panning, "For the second round, I'm thinking of sending one of my sons out. In fact, he is my first son, Azariel. This would be his first battle in anything resembling outsiders, so please go easy on him."

He smiled at them before looking at Azariel and beckoning him to descend.

Azariel smiled, but he hid his nervousness and stood up. He flew and descended on the battle arena, bowing to his father before turning to look at the crowd, his blonde hair flailing.

"Greetings, rulers of the forty-eight Lower Realms. I am Azariel Davis, born to the Divine Emperor of Death and the Hex Demoness. I pose no divergence, but still, if anyone wants to have a piece of my family, you will have to go through me one day."

Six spider bones abruptly jutted out from Azariel's back, the scythes on the edges looking deadly and full of purple poison, full of threat and wickedness.
