“Don’t worry about it. Even if you lie, I’ll get you out as long as the lie isn’t atrocious.” Davis winked.

“Ah, that’s blatant disregard for the laws.” Tia stood up, tapping her finger on Davis’s chest, causing him to throw his head.

“It’s my family, my rules. As long as I want, I could twist the heaven and earth, much less my family.”

Davis heartily laughed, causing everyone to smile.

Even Fairy Xiu Juili also loosened up a bit.

“Relax, we’re all equal to him when it comes to these matters.” Isabella patted Fairy Xiu Juili, “As long as the lie you say isn’t pointed at one of us, we’ll never forsake you.”

She couldn’t help but smile as she felt like she could make more of a connection to these people than she had ever made to her people in her life.

“Big sister, I’m officially a big supporter of yours…” Fairy Xiu Juili said.

“You lass…” Evelynn blinked, “You’ve already gained my goodwill. If Mingzhi bullies you, just call me.”

“Elder sister Mingzhi…” Fairy Xiu Juili said, “I heard she’s extremely smart and cunning. I would also like to meet her one day.”

“You will. We will all go back in one piece, not to forget the shipload of Primarch Grade resources we’ll be transporting.” Isabella giggled.

The defensive formation came alive as a powerful bolt of lightning struck it. The barrier barely trembled. However, everyone came out of their mansions since they didn’t think it was a natural lightning bolt that struck them. Otherwise, the formation wouldn’t have activated and come into full force instead of remaining at a passive state.

“Oh? What a powerful defensive formation. Time to break it and let the rats come out.”

A majestic and wild voice resounded from above, full of arrogance and confidence.

Davis and a few others were already outside since it was time of departure.

He felt the need to leave this Shard Region and enter the Shard Continent since they had already stayed here for a month, starting from finding Isabella to building an impregnable base. Just as he was about to leave, someone attacked their formation.

No, it wasn’t just someone.

He rose above after finishing his words, reaching high above the clouds. Myria created a gap within the barrier through which Davis used to appear out of the formation. Once he was outside, he saw a group of twelve Stormsong Family members around the cast.

“You’re finally here.” That arrogant voice resounded.

Davis looked at this person who looked similar to Aric Stormsong. This invader wore a luxurious white robe adorned with blue or purple

Still, Davis couldn’t believe the Stormsongs came to harass them.

“Seriously…”

He muttered under his breath, narrowing his brows, “You must be Karyon Stormsong, the number one supreme genius of the Stormsong Family, and also happens to be the blood brother of Aric Stormsong, whom I brutally killed.”

Karyon Stormsong clenched his fists, white lightning crackling across his figure with vengeance.

“You vile being. You killed my little brother. I’ll have my revenge…!”

Davis still had his eyes narrowed. There was something off about this man, although he couldn’t sense what was wrong since he was out of his Heart Intent’s range. At the same time, he glanced at Keira Stormsong, who was Aric Stormsong’s fiancée once. She was also here.

“Strange…”

Inside the barrier near the surface, Fairy Thunderblaze muttered under her breath. As far as she knew, Karyon Stormsong was highly intelligent and cunning. For him to claim that he wanted to take revenge for his little brother, whom he always claimed was trash, was a bit intriguing for her. For him to challenge the Divine Emperor of Death in a frontal battle was even more shocking, making her think he had something up his sleeves.
