Chapter 4608: A Powerful Treasure?

Davis could tell their thoughts. They were looking to take advantage of the fallen in the battle here. If there had been a clash, surely someone would have been injured for it to end right here. They were determined to find a few trails since they could still be in hiding.

“What do you think, the calamitous Divine Emperor of Death? What could this be?”

The red-haired woman with a flirtatious smile appeared before him, asking with interest and amusement resonating in her voice.

Davis had his hands folded. He saw the blue-haired man approaching, too, as he kept a lookout around.

He took a moment to consider before answering, “A battle between two peak experts of unknown origin, the likes of you can’t compete in.”

The woman gawked. She was about to retort when Davis continued.

“The third aura was most likely the one who chose to transmit a projection for help using spirit formation. Judging by how the spatial energy is the one that wreaked the most havoc in a concentrated area while the other elements from the other aura are scattered, it is possible that the space-attribute cultivator is the aggressor, leaving the other aura the defender and the one who possibly protected the owner of the third aura.”

“…”

The three of them looked around and saw that it was one possibility. But for what reason did he think that the third aura was a target of protection?

“The third aura could be an assassin lying in wait.” Houdini Terssky argued.

“No,” Davis shook his head, “This minute light aura that is on the verge of dissipating belongs to a lady who uses light attribute. It is soft, gentle, and doesn’t display any signs of hostility. It is unlikely to belong to that of an assassin, and it shows traces of tremendous power, just like the other two auras.”

“Little brother, why don’t you just draw the picture of that woman if you can infer so much from an aura?” Houdini Terssky was speechless.

The other two were also amused.

There was only so much one could sense from a strand of aura, and he was even telling the emotions of that aura? What kind of charlatan had they encountered? They felt he was crazy to impersonate the Divine Emperor of Death even after he was exposed.

“That’s what Mystic Diviners are for.” Davis’s lips curled as he thought of Tia.

However, he sensed potential danger from this adventure right from the beginning, so he didn’t take anyone with him, much less Tia, who was now quite active in courting death. He even left Nadia back home.

Everyone rolled their eyes, knowing Mystic Diviners would be courting death if they were to try something like that. This was not a place one should divine as it was not the True Immortal World.

Like their elders believe, they also suspected that this secret realm belonged to the Elemental Dimension.

But without Mystic Diviners, they were also at a loss in finding treasures and avoiding dangers efficiently. Those Mystic Diviners who could be enslaved, bought, used, and disposed of were already used up. They were long gone, so without proper backing, no Mystic Diviner dared to enter this secret realm.

“Also, I believe this is a trap…” Davis’s smirk turned wry.

“What?”

Houdini Terssky and the other two followed his gaze subconsciously and looked down at the shattered ground.

Instantly, their expressions changed, but before they could even move, their vision was clouded by darkness.

The darkness eclipsed them and everyone on the small island, creating a dome. The dome appeared to be an amalgamation of layers and layers of stacked spatial energy, creating an extremely strong barrier that no one could leave.

There was barely any sound coming from it other than a hum. Then…

The island suddenly went silent as though it had been haunted.

Soon, this dark spatial dome retracted, revealing an empty island, its surface still scorched and steaming. This dome converged to a point- into a lean man holding something in his hand, his finger to be exact. It gave off a faint silver-black luster, exuding a tremendous amount of spatial energy that was extremely reserved and concealed.

“Another great haul.”

This lean man possessed a carefree attitude as he walked on the island as though he owned it, stretching and yawning.

His white skin shone with a lustrous violet light and was clad in a strange crimson attire like he was a pirate. His golden-blue hair cascaded down in shimmering waves, making him appear like an enigmatic individual, a spirit fey.

He clicked his fingers on top of his mouth a few times before he heaved a sigh, “Time to target the gathering.”

“You mean the gathering that’s going to take place in a few days?”

“…!?”

The spirit fey hurriedly jumped back and looked towards the sky, noticing a purple-robed man hovering in the air while there were three souls hovering in absolute panic around him. His silver pupils constricted as he didn’t think anyone would escape from his plan.

Davis’s heart was shaken.

He momentarily glanced at the three souls of the supreme geniuses he had talked to. Even with his speed, he was unable to save them, so he could only tear their souls apart and forcefully pull them with his physique.

That tug saved them, but their bodies were gone. This tug injured their souls, so they were in a state of shock and panic, not knowing what to do as though they were stripped naked and tied to a pole.

Regardless, Davis’s gaze landed on the item that was on the spirit fey’s finger. The spirit fey tried to hide it with his palm, but Davis had already seen it. He could never forget its luster nor its ability to make disappear- no, seal them within as though it was a life ring with the abilities of a spatial ring.

‘Is that… the Space-Time Quintessence Ring!?’ His heart boomed with trepidation and excitement.
