Chapter 4820 Shrouding The Heaven And Earth
Chapter 4820 Shrouding The Heaven And Earth
People in the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm barely managed to look above. Quadrillions dropped what they were holding and simply fainted. Humans, magical beasts, spirits, and everything below the Immortal Stage simply dropped down, their fates unknown.
"Huh!?"
Pills that were just concocted shattered in alchemists' palms. The alchemists watched as the pills dispersed, their expressions in despair.
Some active formations that offended the heaven and earth cracked.
Sect bells rang on their own, signifying karmic danger before exploding into fragments.
The dark crimson tribulation clouds didn't stop rolling across the realm. It went beyond the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm. Even the void between realms trembled as if something ancient had just turned in its sleep.
Dark crimson was swallowed by absolute black.
Above Davis, the sky split open- not into clouds, but into layers.
One layer… then another… then another.
Each layer was darker than the last, bleeding the aura of annihilation into existence itself. They did not rotate like normal tribulation clouds; they expanded outward, rolling across the Upper Realm like a devouring tide.
From one Upper Realm to four Upper Realms and then to eight Upper Realms!
Half of the Upper Realms' spatial expanse was swallowed by annihilative clouds that did not merely cover the skies, but pressed downward, as though the sky itself intended to crush all beneath it.
At this moment, anyone and everyone who had the gall to look up suffered severe consequences.
In the Forgeheart Peak Upper Realm, elders fell to their knees, coughing blood as their Law Hearts shattered. They clutched their heads and went mad in fear, fainting first.
In the Emperor Cobra Upper Realm, a giant snake with immense karmic sin simply burned in annihilative heavenly flames, its scream echoing throughout the region, scaring countless Empyreans, for the one who burned was an Exalt Beast.
In the Sacred Tiger Upper Realm, the Realm Master abruptly activated their karmic legacy treasure, allowing them to survive any bad luck, but the legacy treasure cracked, causing the Realm Master to spit blood and faint on the spot.
In the Beast Autarch Upper Realm, countless beast master simply prostrated and struck their heads on the ground, pleading to be forgiven.
The Saffron Harmony Upper Realm experienced numerous difficulties, its harmonious energy suddenly turning berserk and causing nearly all the flora to wither.
To the north of the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm, so many things happened simultaneously, and the Six-Headed Hydra Upper Realm wasn't spared either. In fact, they suffered the most. Their ancestors in seclusion who carried a tremendous amount of karmic sin- old monsters, those who had lived through calamities and played with the realm- their souls were simply gone, faded away.
The terrifying pressure radiating from the black sky alone extinguished them.
As for those who were unlucky enough to undergo their tribulation during this time- they could only freeze, not knowing what to do. They felt a sharp pain pierce their foreheads as though there was something telling them to stay put.
Back at the island- Lucian, Nadia, and Kronos Alistair felt it simultaneously.
Their own tribulation clouds, which were vast and terrifying, were crushed flat, reduced to significant ripples beneath the sky-shattering presence above Davis.
Lucian barely managed to look at his father amidst the thunderous dark skies, now understanding what Mother Evelynn said.
His gaze nearly turned into one of worship.
Nadija shut her eyes, blood pouring from her face. She wanted to see Kronos Alistair's tribulation, but she also fainted.
Kronos Alistair, and Nadia took the frozen Lucian away and retreated.
Their heavenly tribulations were engulfed by Davis at such a close range, and they were Divergents, so their fates were tied to him now.
*Bang!~*
An annihilative heavenly lightning bolt struck the skies once again.
"Why the fuck are you delaying? Send the first wave immediately!"
Davis protested.
A minute had already passed, and he couldn't believe the first strike didn't descend. At this rate, he believed he might not have a good chance to survive.
*RUMBLE!!!*
A rumble that was no different than the entire world exploding echoed, causing countless lifeforms to once again swivel in despair. The anger of the heavens and its oppressive aura could be felt, but Davis remained with a frown, wondering why there was no retaliation strike.
'What's going on…? Where is my Heavenly Water Tribulation?'
Davis wondered if the heavens couldn't decide to send Heavenly Water Tribulation because of the first three divergent tribulations surrounding him. In that case, he guessed he made a mistake. However, he couldn't be bothered considering their location was most likely exposed.
He had to be fast.
Seeing that there were no purple-gold-white clouds that signified the descent of the Heavenly Water Tribulation, Davis felt like he had to give up and face the first strike wave.
But abruptly, Davis felt himself engulfed and drowned in something. Instantly, he felt at ease.
Heavenly Water Tribulation has come regardless of his anarchic nature.
The heavens were indeed following the rules, making him feel somewhat gratified to be a living being of this universe. At least, there appeared to be no foul play.
He basked in its calming and soothing nature before frowning.
'Dammit, I'm too powerful for it to even have the slightest effect on me…'
It seemed like the bath would at most make it extremely comfortable for him. He reluctantly exited the water body, reached out his hand in the air, and grabbed hold of Nadia and Lucian.
"Ahhh!" Lucian yelled out in fear.
He pulled them all the way to his tribulation area and threw them into the Heavenly Water.
"Refine as much as you can and leave the rest."
Davis advised and looked above, not losing focus.
Nadia immediately began absorbing it in an effort to strengthen herself and retain her Mythical-Tier Bloodline. Lucian could only nod with an absentminded look on his face as he felt himself suddenly become calm and nearly free of the terrifying pressure descending from above. It gave him a first-class seat to look at his father's tribulation, leaving him breathless.
Davis kept his gaze at the eye of the storm when his pupils dilated.
A storm of clouds parted, and a figure descended from the eye of the storm.
"Why are you in the very first wave…?"
Davis's lips twitched as he looked at the Celestial Transcendent descend with a solemn expression on his face.
A sense of foreboding enveloped Davis, making him take a deep breath.
