Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4878 Terrifying Blood Law Technique

Chapter 4878  Terrifying Blood Law Technique

Small dark clouds formed above the ruined True Peak Emporium's building.

Fairy Retribution's gaze clouded as she cut down the assassin with her powerful technique.

The Fourth Form of the Retribution Sword Art she received from the inheritance was a Divine Technique. That was how far she managed to learn currently from the nine forms of the Retribution Sword Art. It was her current peak, and together with her prowess and comprehension in fusing Enigmatic Heart Laws and Imposing Sword Laws, she was positive she had even surpassed the Retribution Sword Autarch's comprehension of the fourth form, having added her own insights into it.

She reckoned it was even more powerful than the base fourth form, with her fusing the emotion of serenity and striking the foe with the sword intent of wrathful retribution. The yin-yang nature of her technique eclipsed the base fourth form, allowing her sword strike to reach four levels higher.

This meant that the power of her strike using the fourth form had reached sixteen levels higher.

For a moment, she was taken aback by her own prowess, but at the same time, mourned the loss of an opponent who could help her grow like this since she had a sudden breakthrough in comprehending the fourth form while being suppressed and irritated by the assassin.

She had no doubt that the assassin was dead.

"Young Miss!"

Her Guardian Elder quickly appeared beside her, his expression full of panic.

"Don't react so exaggeratedly. This is nothing…"

Fairy Retribution didn't seem to feel pain even with the moonglaive's blade lodged inside her thigh. She calmly grabbed the circular handle and pulled it out, causing blood to gush out.

This scene made the onlookers flinch.

They were also shocked that the beauty didn't even bat an eyelid.

After all, who in their right mind would practice pain temperance and increase their pain threshold? Maybe the crazy body tempering cultivators? One would have to go through hell in order to manage that. But this was a beauty they were talking about!

However, the experts in the crowd noticed the use of Heart Intent. They guessed she had managed to ignore the pain with it, making them quite intrigued as to who this fairy could be.

But the true shock didn't even come to them until they saw her injury rapidly closing as a faint white light emerged between the wound.

All of them couldn't tell what it was, but they felt its healing prowess was extremely high.

Within seconds, the wound quickly closed as though she was magical beast with a high regenerative ability.

They couldn't understand. It was a powerful wound above the level of an Autarch in their mind, comparable to her own prowess, but she still managed to do so quickly without consuming any healing pills. It was ridiculous.

Jiayi Crystalveil also sucked in a cold breath.

She had witnessed life energy before when Myria performed it to heal her children who came back from battles. She didn't know why Fairy Retribution would be capable of something like that.

'Is she a Saintess!?' She was mortified.

Why would her previous self mention not to deal with such a character? It was insane. Any merchant would fall and beg to be a part of a Saint or Saintess's entourage, much less have some connection with them.

She couldn't believe she restricted herself from forming such a connection.

Taking a deep breath, she cupped her hands, "Many thanks for saving me, Fairy Retribution. Without you, I wouldn't have survived today. You have my utmost gratitude. If you need any help that isn't above my status, please don't hesitate to say. I, Jiayi Crystalveil, will do everything in my power to aid you in your cultivation journey."

Fairy Retribution gazed at her calmly before waving her hand casually, "Forget the previous matter- but I guess you don't know. I can tell you're clueless even after experiencing tumultuous emotions, so you must have erased it already. However, you can help me search for someone."

"Finding a person? I will be extremely glad to do so."

"…"

Fairy Retribution suppressed the urge to say Divine Emperor of Death, but refrained from teasing her. She said coolly, "Let's not talk here. These are private matters."

"Of course."

Jiayi Crystalveil said, but was momentarily speechless as she saw the ruined True Peak Emporium.

Their battle had completely devastated the street, also ruining countless other shops, although the destruction didn't spread too deep.

"Please don't mind the destruction. I, Jiayi Crystalveil, will promise to pay for all of it as long as the damage and merchandise are accounted for."

The other merchants immediately thanked her.

The Guardian Elder had revealed himself to the public. He stood over the assassin's corpse that had split into two. It was unmoving and completely dead. However, it was strange that he couldn't find the dispersing soul essence vaguely.

It made him frown.

He turned to look into the distance at the rooftop but saw that the fake Divine Emperor of Death wannabe was nowhere there nor anywhere else, as he panned his gaze. He was completely gone as though he had dispersed his soul body.

Fairy Retribution was about to walk with Jiayi Crystalveil to a new accommodation to discuss private matters, but she suddenly came to a stop, her eyes narrowing.

"Young Miss?" The Guardian Elder noticed the change in her expression.

Fairy Retribution didn't respond. Instead, her emerald eyes went wide before she looked down and slashed her thigh where the wound had been with a single finger. Blood poured out, causing the Guardian Elder to be shocked, but he was horrified when he saw her jab two fingers inside and pull out something.

It appeared to be some kind of blood bead.

"This is…"

Fairy Retribution's gaze flickered. As she watched, the blood bead quivered and sloshed inwardly like a slime before abruptly revealing a smiling face.

"Fairy Anastasia, is it?"

"…!"

Fairy Retribution's emerald pupils dilated in horror. She instantly closed her palm to crush him out of reaction, but the blood bead was like liquid, moving out of the crevices between her fingers before the fist could fully close.

Above the back of her palm, a miniature figure formed.

It was none other than G'haren Bloodrain.

Fairy Retribution didn't wait. Her other hand moved quickly. She struck the back of her palm like crushing a mosquito, but the miniature blood-crimson figure jumped back, abruptly reforming into a person of normal size.

G'haren Bloodrain's previous body melted, the blood karmically moving into the new form.

G'haren Bloodrain raised his hand and combed his crimson hair back with his fingers, revealing his devilishly handsome face. He was butt-naked with his newly reformed fleshly body, but a black robe instantly appeared over him as his spatial ring made it back to him.

"What are you? The Blood Tempest Physique doesn't have such an ability. Is it self-made?" The Guardian Elder's eyes were wide, thoroughly taken aback by the comprehension of Blood Laws learned by this junior.

He was aware of what kind of physique the Blood Tempest Physique was and believed himself to be familiar with it. It was a common physique, but it wasn't rare either; the power one could harness from it greatly differed since the physique itself was tied to the comprehension of their Blood Laws more than the average physique.

G'haren Bloodrain licked his lips, his expression prideful, "Indeed. I'll call this technique Deadbloom Art: Crimson Redemption, hehe."

"That so? Die now, then."

The Guardian Elder raised his hand and made a squashing motion.

G'haren Bloodrain's smug expression froze.

His standing figure was instantly crushed into the ground as an enormous crater appeared. His blood was all over the crater, his organs nowhere to be seen. Every single strand of cell was crushed to a completely deformed state, the blood bonds completely collapsing.

Nothing survived.

A hit from Rumbling Laws, everything upto the microscopic level in the range of the strike completely disintegrated.

Fairy Retribution nearly sucked in a cold breath as she sent a soul transmission, "Guardian Elder is as amazing as ever. But wouldn't it have been better to capture him and know where he comes from? He was too dangerous."

"No, this could be an avatar as his Blood Tempest Physique appears different, perhaps a variant. We must be thorough in eliminating him."

"More than anything- he somehow siphoned your memories."

"Yes…" Fairy Retribution shuddered, having come to the same conclusion, "He didn't target my brain but just my blood. Does this mean the body knows what the soul also knows?"

"Yes, at higher levels, it's like that, but not anyone can extract information from the body like this. At least, I have heard of no such methods." The Guardian Elder's expression was solemn, "That's why I quickly eliminated him with a karmic-rumbling strike. Even if he has other bodies, he shouldn't get any information about you now, even if he manages to survive the karmic attack itself."

"Guardian Elder is truly my guardian seraphim~" Fairy Retribution smiled cheerfully as she walked up to him and pulled on his sleeve.

"…" The Guardian Elder shook his head at the mention of his quarter-bloodline.

He looked around, "Everyone, the assassin has been neutralized. There is no need to worry anymore. Please disperse."

Davis, who was in the midst of creating an avatar, opened his eyes, his sapphire pupils dilating with shock.

"Anastasia Archus, eighth granddaughter of the Celestial Transcendent…!"
