Dungeon of Lust: Managing Otherworldly Beauties

Chapter 196: Imp Galore

Chapter 196: Imp Galore

’What the hell do I do with this?!’

Vale looked over his shoulder and called:

"Mias."

In the blink of an eye, the smoky wraith appeared behind him.

’Are you always stalking me?’

Without saying much, Vale took off the glasses and handed them to Mias. Mias curiously took them and then slid them on.

All the Reaper could say when he looked upon [Stay Safe] was:

"Oh."

Vale looked at Mias’s stoic expression as the Reaper returned the glasses.

"What, uh. What do you reckon we do about this? Dump it somewhere? Destroy it?"

Mias spoke slowly as Vale handed him the robe.

"We can’t simply abandon it. It could easily be traced back to us. And we don’t know the consequences of destruction. There’s really only one solution. We need to implicate someone."

Vale looked at another Mias who walked into the room holding the map. Vale asked him:

"Are you thinking what I’m thinking?"

The second Mias smiled.

"Of course. Akkuron. I’ll get started right away."

Then, Mias, with the robe in hand, turned. Vale needn’t give the small man any orders.

Vale waved him off after taking back the map.

"Safe travels."

’Please, get rid of that thing!’

***

The eventful day had finally come to a close with the promise of a new one as Vale yawned and got up.

Awilix hissed from the end of the bed.

"Where are you going?!"

"Greed’s here. I don’t particularly want to know how she’ll react if we get... busy."

Awilix rolled her eyes and then lay back down.

The moment Vale exited the room, the aforementioned Greed was waiting for him.

"Good choice, Valentin."

Vale scratched his head.

"What do you want?"

Greed smiled as she brushed her hair.

"I need your workers to create another room as large as your ’Grand Hub’ before I can teach them football."

An expression of confusion splashed on Vale’s face.

"Do you know how long that took? There’s no way I’d be able to finish another room before you leave? Let alone quick enough that you’d be able to teach them before Juniper gets back."

Greed lowered her arm, causing her bracelets to clink.

"From what I’ve seen, you’re severely lacking in workers. I’d suggest purchasing around a hundred with the Aether you got from the Level. Which I completed for you, might I add."

Vale sighed.

"Don’t act as if you did me a favor."

’However, she does have quite the point...’

In Level 9, all but eight warriors died.

Meaning, Vale’s logistical issue of having to feed a mass of warriors was now completely gone. He also had 523 Aether saved up.

228 from before Level 9. 230 from Level 9. And 65 from his own warriors’ deaths.

Having already saturated his core and possessing enough to saturate Sivian’s with over 300 remaining, it was safe to say he had some to spare.

And was this not the perfect time to invest in workers for development? A relatively peaceful point for him, one where he had a very strong ’ally’ with him?

Yes, he’d been immediately inviting the same logistical problems he had before, but workers were a lot easier to feed than warriors.

Besides, the new dungeons around Vale did not bother to regulate the Scar’s population, and he refused to limit his own dungeon’s impact and fall behind in the resource battle.

But as much as Greed’s suggestion appealed to him...

Vale’s lips curled upwards.

"I will do as you request and create this room you desire, but I want something in return. Sure, workers will help me in the long run, but having to sustain them as they make a huge, useless room? Kind of counterintuitive, wouldn’t you say?"

Greed rolled her eyes, a tiny ember of yellow flickering, and said:

"You’ve grown quite the confidence around me?" she chuckled. "Just how much trust do you have in the non-subversion and non-aggression pact?"

Greed sighed, then added on:

"Oh, well. How costly is something that will benefit you, tell me?"

Vale smiled as he and Greed walked side by side toward the Grand Hub, Vale now a little taller than her, even in her heels.

"How about... Envy. What can you tell me about her?"

Greed smiled mischievously.

"Oh... And what are your intentions to do with that knowledge?"

Vale looked smug as he said:

"Nothing... yet."

Greed and Vale reached the hub where they both stopped and met each other’s gazes.

Greed said:

"Well, I suppose I’ll answer. Envy is Emergent, and has been so for three months. The first floor of her dungeon is underwater, and her warriors are all born with a mimicry ability. I think that much should suffice." Greed giggled then added, "Dare demand more and I’ll feel inclined to prank you again."

Vale smiled and said:

"That much is enough."

[Would you like to purchase 100 Workers for 100 Aether?]

’Yes...’

A few moments later, a red and pink tide flowed from the path to the Dungeon Core.

"Baduh?"

When the 35 workers spotted the 100 newbies, screams erupted.

"Badduh!"

"Ba-ba-duuuuh!"

"Badu."

"Baaaaduuuuuuuh!"

"Baduh!"

’Oh lord...’

"Dear Sylvia, it might be more expensive than I thought."

Greed laughed as she summoned a weird earmuff and said:

"Too late. Done deal."

As much as Vale wanted to claim to be annoyed, the sight was strangely cute...

The imps rushed forward and started making friends. A few immediately began throwing the ’soccerball’ around with the new ones.

Larry had even made friends with a small pink one and a similarly sized red one.

He now had two more to add to his imp friendgroup!

Vale, let them interact and play a little more, as Greed assisted him in creating a gigantic blueprint.

When that was done, the horde of workers bounded and began construction.

Greed went off to do some sightseeing around the Scar and let loose her ability.

As for Vale?

Vale entered the training room.

Before him were the eight surviving warriors — three Archers and five Warriors.
