Earth's Greatest Magus

Chapter 3058: Undying True Clone

Chapter 3058: Undying True Clone

The process began a hundred miles outside Neo Terra Palace, where the surrounding wilderness had been cleared and quietly secured. Dozens of Emery’s people were stationed throughout the area, keeping watch from a distance. Soltz stood among them, personally overseeing the security.

By the time Emery arrived, the grand formation was already in place.

His dark avatar stood beside it, silent and ready to assist.

Emery first brought out the three Grand Magus corpses.

The opening step, by all rights, belonged to an Apothecary Grand Master. Fortunately, Emery happened to be exactly that. More importantly, no one understood his own body better than he did.

He had already gone through the entire process in his mind dozens of times. Every step, every ingredient, and every potential complication had been carefully considered.

Once he began, there would be no turning back.

The elderly human corpse went first.

With a focused thought, the corpse immediately broke apart. Flesh, bones, and blood separated cleanly, each part guided into the waiting cauldron. Anything he didn’t need was carefully extracted and set aside.

Next came three additional materials, each added according to the exact sequence described in the scripture—Ashbind Root, Voidglass Powder, and Sanguine Lotus petals.

All three were expensive, but none were particularly difficult to obtain.

Then came the part that required Emery’s own sacrifice.

Without hesitation, he severed his left arm.

The sharp pain barely registered compared to what came next.

Emery gritted his teeth as he drew out a portion of his own blood essence. The moment he did, a wave of weakness spread through his body.

A full decade of his lifespan was being extracted and fed directly into the mixture.

Emery stared at the swirling concoction for a moment before muttering,

"I’d better not waste this.

He followed the scripture precisely from there, using both the severed limb and his blood essence as the foundation of the process. As the cauldron began to fill, Klea activated the grand formation surrounding them.

The formation immediately came alive.

Its intricate runes lit up one after another, drawing energy from the surrounding spirit stones and channeling it into the cauldron. The air grew heavy as the formation stabilized the volatile energy inside.

Hours passed.

Then, exactly as the scripture had warned, the mixture suddenly became chaotic.

The energy within the cauldron surged violently, and the developing clone failed to take proper shape. The flesh that had begun forming collapsed back into the mixture, unable to maintain its structure.

Emery remained calm.

The scripture had already anticipated this stage.

The Grand Magus corpses weren’t meant to become part of the clone themselves. They were fuel—like kindling thrown into a fire, their essence would be consumed to sustain the formation and provide the energy necessary for the clone’s creation.

Emery brought out the dark elf woman’s remains next.

Once again, he broke the corpse down into its essential components and fed them into the cauldron according to the scripture’s instructions.

Slowly, the chaotic energy settled.

Klea kept the grand formation running, continuously feeding it an increasing number of high-grade spirit stones to maintain its stability.

The process dragged on.

By the following day, the mixture once again became volatile.

Emery repeated the process for a third time.

This time, it was the Tiger half-blood’s corpse that entered the cauldron. Flesh, bone, and blood were separated and refined before being absorbed into the formation.

Once again, the concoction stabilized.

But only for an hour.

Then the energy began to surge again.

Emery slowly exhaled.

The scripture had anticipated this as well.

He followed its instructions, reaching into his own body and drawing out another portion of his blood essence.

The moment it entered the cauldron, he felt the familiar weakness wash over him.

Another decade of his lifespan was gone.

Emery’s expression remained firm.

"Continue."

Fortunately, the technique worked by accumulating essence. Every corpse that was added to the process increased the overall chance of success, and, exactly as Ronan had predicted, the Tiger half-blood’s corpse produced by far the strongest stabilizing effect of the three. Its essence kept the mixture stable for much longer than either of the previous corpses had managed.

Throughout the process, Klea maintained the grand formation by continuously feeding it high-grade spirit stones, while Emery channeled cosmic energy directly from within his body. Together, they watched as the shape of his new body slowly began to take form inside the cauldron.

Seventy percent.

Emery suspected that even the Tiger half-blood’s corpse wouldn’t be enough to carry the process to completion.

VIA confirmed his suspicion moments later, carefully tracking the progress.

Eighty percent.

Still nowhere near enough.

Emery’s true body was simply too extraordinary. Its physical foundation and accumulated power demanded far more raw material than even Ronan had accounted for when they made their agreement.

Fortunately, Emery had prepared for this possibility.

One additional Three Cosmos Realm corpse remained sealed within his inner domain. It was one of the three Moonlight Syndicate elders from the Dawnstar conflict.

One of the trio had completely destroyed himself during the battle, leaving nothing behind. The masked leader had later been handed over to the authorities.

The third corpse, however, had remained in Emery’s possession ever since. He had originally kept it for further investigation, but its purpose had now changed.

Emery released the corpse.

The fourth body broke apart and was drawn into the cauldron, its flesh, bones, and blood quickly dissolving into the increasingly complex mixture. The chaotic energy surged for a moment before gradually settling again.

Even then, Emery wasn’t willing to leave the result to chance.

To guarantee the process reached completion, he drew out yet another portion of his own blood essence.

The familiar weakness immediately swept through his body, far more severe this time. His face became pale, and his breathing grew noticeably heavier as another portion of his life force was sacrificed to sustain the process.

But Emery endured it.

The progress continued to climb.

Ninety percent.
