"Ah yeah, he should definitely find the girl first," Benladann nodded. "It’s not like we’ll struggle here. We’re a big team... I wonder if everyone else is doing fine?"
"Several members ended up stranding alone... Among them, there are Surtr, Emerald, Amethyst, and Triton, unfortunately..."
"They’re alone?!" Miranda asked. "Aw shit, that’s not good..."
"They’re strong, though. I’m sure they’ll be able to survive until we can meet them," Benladann said. "Drake personally trained all of them, and he trusted their power too."
"Yeah," Benladra nodded. "I’m worried about Yudra..."
"Me too..." Kate nodded. "We should get going, mom. We shouldn’t stay stagnant, I think..."
"You’re right," Andromeda nodded. "If we just stay in a single place, we risk being found by the enemy, and that’s definitely not something we want to happen..."
"Drakda, you can have this!" Benladra walked toward her little brother, offering him a sandwich she had prepared beforehand. "You can eat this sandwich I made. It’s small, but it’s packed with lots of meat."
"Ooh! Thank you, sis!" Drakda said, grabbing the sandwich with his little hands and taking large bites with his small, yet sharp, teeth. "Mmm! It’s good!"
"Kate, don’t you feel hungry?" Benladra asked.
"Eh? Not really..." Kate said, but she was given a little plate with a cheesecake slice. "Cheesecake?!"
"Yeah! I saved some slices just in case of emergencies... hehe," Benladra giggled. "Eat up! I know your powers need you to have a lot of energy and- ah, you’re already eating."
Benladra smiled as she saw her two little siblings eating happily. Her actions surprised their mothers, as they learned just how well prepared she truly was. She was a really good elder sister, someone who always thought about her little siblings.
As they walked toward the next room, and then the next, and the next, and the next... they quickly realized this was endless and... hopeless.
"What the hell is this place?!" Miranda asked angrily, walking out of the dome created by Benladra and feeling the cursed miasma permeating her skin. "Whoa, so this is the miasma, huh? It feels kind of nice, but it’s also weird... definitely not good for you girls."
"I believe we’re in some sort of looping construct," explained Andromeda. "A dimensional construct fueled by this dimension itself. It constantly loops into the same set of rooms over and over again. I have no idea how it works, however."
"Yeah, damn, how do we even get out of this place?" Benladann sighed. "Ah, is the miasma good? Does it not really hurt you? When it touches my skin, it feels like it’s draining my divine power a little. I hate it."
"So it affects you even though we’re bonded?" Miranda wondered. "I guess we would have to fuse for you to benefit then... And yeah, Drakda, do you feel the same?"
"Yeah, mama, it’s nice~!" Drakda smiled. The cursed miasma seemed to enhance the power of certain types of beings.
Miranda was literally the personification of the Mold, and she contained within her both high quantities of Chaotic Energy and Demonic Spirit Energy, alongside being a living being that wasn’t really... well, she was already "corrupted".
Drakda, as her direct son, was the same. The boy could not feel any disturbance. His being was also cataloged as what Andromeda dubbed "Abyssal Beings", living organisms born from corrupted and dark energies or particles, whether from alien origin or not, that were immune to the cursed miasma or even benefited from it.
However, not all could fall into this category. Benladann and Benladra, despite both having Chaos Attribute Affinity, were not immune to the cursed miasma and were affected by it... The same was true for Kate and Andromeda herself. "Spiritual beings" like Andromeda and Kate were especially weak to it, so they had to wield protective barriers at all times to remain healthy and moderately safe.
"I suppose you’re indeed "Abyssals", as I’ll call your kind for now," Andromeda said rather coldly.
"Abyssal?!" Miranda asked. "That sounds kind of... neat! I like it."
"Mama, am I mold like you?" Drakda asked. "I can’t turn slimy..."
"I believe you have the potential, son. You just have yet to awaken it," Miranda tapped his head. "Anyway, even though we don’t feel affected negatively by this energy, it still disrupts us as well, right?"
"Can’t access Draconic Records..." Drakda said. "Slimy miasma gets in the way... teleportation is useless too."
"Yeah," Miranda nodded. "We’re constantly assimilating it, though. I believe we might get to the point where we can wield it or get it out of the way..."
"That’s really interesting..." Benladann nodded. "From what we’ve learned from Yuki, this dimension was born from her previous life’s... uh, corpse, right?"
"That’s right," Andromeda nodded. "I don’t know how exactly it worked, or the reasons behind it, but when Amaterasu was killed by her brother, and her soul was shattered and separated from her body, I assume her Spirits helped her reincarnate in Yggdrasil. Her body was quickly engulfed by the Grief, Pain, and... Despair of being killed and betrayed. Even though it was a soulless husk that should have just perished, it didn’t. I assume this was the case because, despite us never really knowing her or her ever doing anything catastrophic before, Amaterasu was the same as Pandemonium and Chaos. She was one of the four Original Reincarnators, and her power and perhaps her own physiology were on par with theirs."
"Ah, yeah, that makes sense now..." Benladann nodded. "We do know that Chaos and Pandemonium had some sort of weird type of Body and Soul, like they were fused together... but Drake found a way to separate their Spiritual Consciousness and Ethereal Essence into Souls so they could reincarnate, although their body parts remain, alive and acting on their own... The same could be happening to Amaterasu. Her soul was separated from her body after she was killed by Susanoo... likely through a special technique he devised? Whatever the case... her body remained, and like those fragments of Pandemonium we’ve seen, it has its own consciousness and even developed its own powers after her death... perhaps this entire dimension is like a twisted version of her original powers, which allowed her to create a whole world like Zipangu, with gods and demons of its own."
