"Wow, that’s... I never knew you were this great at guessing things," Andromeda was surprised. "But yes, you’re completely right, Benladann... I believe that’s exactly what happened. This dimension was likely born from a twisted, corrupted version of Amaterasu’s original Unique Skill. Instead of creating a World of her Dreams like Zipangu..."
"Maybe it created a world of her Nightmares, full of curses and specters?" Miranda asked. "Damn, that’s just sad..."
"But it’s most likely the truth..." Andromeda said. "For now, however, I believe we should keep advancing, I can feel Drake, he’s getting somewhat closer. Yukia and Yudra as well."
"Really? But how? I thought this was a looping place or something?" Benladann asked.
"Yes, but I feel disturbances in the space of this castle, as if something is happening somewhere, which is making the place unstable out of nowhere... its slowly reducing the spatial density of the castle," Andromeda pointed out. "Fascinating, perhaps... one of our friends found the culprit and is confronting them?"
"You can’t see them?" Miranda asked.
"No, my vision is blurry with everyone right now, I can only tell basic things such as how closer I feel them from here, or if they’re alive or not..." Andromeda explained.
"Well, that sucks, but nothing we can do about that..." Miranda said. "Let’s keep moving, everyone... it’s better than nothing. I just hope Drake can find Yuki and Yudra soon..."
"Yeah," Benladann nodded. "For now we should- Hm?"
Suddenly, Benladann looked to her left, as she heard footsteps slowly approach them, which then hurried up once whoever was behind the wall heard them.
"Master! Is that you?!"
As the door opened, a muscular human man emerged, incredibly tall and burly, with long blonde hair and glowing star-like eyes. His skin was covered with scars, which were healing slower than normal due to the nature of this abyssal dimension.
His aura, however, glistened with divine radiance despite how the cursed miasma everywhere should suppress such powers... and the reason was quite simple.
"T-The Venerable bastard?!" Miranda screamed.
He was a Venerable.
"He’s one of those human Venerables that tried to kill us earlier!" Benladann said.
"What is this?" the man wondered, raising an eyebrow. "Hmm, that dragon’s allies? Where is he?"
The man quickly grabbed his heavy blade, made completely out of gold-like material, and overflowing with his immensely powerful divinity, as his Ascendancy Law Rings appeared behind his back, glowing with yellow, white, and orange colors.
"We have no idea," Benladann said, thinking it was pointless to argue with such a powerful being. "We’ve been stranded away from him... if what you want is to fight him... we’re trying to find him."
"..."
He remained silent for a moment, analyzing the situation...
He glanced at the women, and the children.
None were human, all of them were demi-humans, making his blood boil in anger...
He gritted his teeth, his veins popping out of his forehead.
"Is there not a single human in your group?! Are you anti-human bastards?" he asked angrily.
"A-Anti-human?! What the hell are you talking about?" Miranda asked. "We’ve got some humans! The most notable would be Hector, he’s everyone’s friend... but humans are rare where we came from...!"
"You only have one?! A single token human, huh?! I knew it, you’re all anti-human bastards... the very reason why I became a Venerable was to fight against the injustices and unfairness that we humans face every day in the world of Yggdrasil," he said angrily.
"What injustices? Don’t you guys get a whole continent to live on?" Benladann asked, becoming warier of the man and how mentally unwell he seemed.
"So you clearly don’t know anything about Midgard!" laughed the man. "It has been a breeding ground of war and strife between dozens of different tribes for millions of years, since its birth! As the largest continent in the middle of the world, where all other continents interconnect, Midgard has received immigrants from all parts of the world through several different eras, each tribe had settled down, and with time, they built their own empires and kingdoms, seizing the land that was always rightfully ours, for humans, made by the Gods themselves! Odin himself decreed that Midgard was the Land of Man!"
"I had no idea..." Miranda said. "Okay, dude... calm down, I think we can talk this out? I feel kind of sorry-"
"I don’t need your sympathy!" the man roared furiously. "We humans have struggled against the other races for centuries! Our kingdoms falling and then being reborn over and over again, if there’s a continent well known for its endless conflicts, it is Midgard! I once lost everything, my family, my kingdom, my people... my wife to your ilk! Your damned Ice Giants, freezing everything as you pleased, barbarians! Monsters..."
"W-Woah, calm down, we didn’t do anything..." Benladann said. "Those are different from us, you know?! We come from Jotunheim! That’s a continent where you will only find Ice Giants for the majority... well, there were also large kingdoms with lots of humans too, governed by them too! The port cities for example-"
"SILENCE!" the man roared with immense authority and anger. "I will not hear any words from filthy barbarians like all of you... Midgard is now on the state of rising; we humans will govern supreme in this world and trample down all the barbaric races that attempt to push us back into the ground! With my master, our powers combined, we will let Yggdrasil start anew, a clean slate where your kind does not exist anymore, a world made by humans, for humans!"
"Holy fucking shit this guy is delusional as hell," Miranda sighed.
"You are that dragon’s family, aren’t you? Heh... I wonder what he would think if I threw him the beheaded bodies of his children and showed him your impaled heads on my sword..." the man smiled wickedly, his eyes turning deep red, as his aura surged with tremendous killing intent. "The cleansing begins now, and not even you dragons will be excerpt from total annihilation!"
The bloodthirsty Venerable leaped forward, his jump causing shockwaves that destroyed dozens of rooms behind him, his golden heavy blade swinging down towards Benladann.
SLAAASH!
