Chapter 1080: Vida The Spiritualist

Chapter 1080: Vida The Spiritualist

"We have arrived." Kaguya pointed at the signboard 'Vida Spiritualist'.

Rudy activated his supervision and scanned the entire area, and he was left surprised. Initially, he assumed there would be a few dozen people in the underground facility, but there were a few hundreds of them.

'I am having an underworld type of vibes, not that I hate it. I don't want any trouble, so I should make myself clear.'

Rudy turned around and faced the two guys who followed them from the entrance to the spiritualist's store.

"Do you guys need something?" Rudy asked in a casual tone, showing them that he wasn't afraid of the two guys and his hang hiding in the corners, all staring at Rudy and Kaguya.

Out of the two guys, one had yellow hair, which was obviously dyed. While the other had red hair, which didn't seem dyed but Rudy found them unnatural.

The yellow-haired stepped forward with a frown on his face and glared at Rudy, as though he was about to eat him alive. But after realizing Rudy had no effect, his frown disappeared, and he forced a smile.

"Relax~!"

"I am relaxed."

"Haven't seen ya around here."

"Because it's my first time here. If you have nothing to say, then leave us alone. I don't want to cause any trouble for the spiritualist there."

"Oh?" The red-haired stepped in. "You are here for Vida? That must mean you are having some kind of trouble with your powers. Why don't you come with us, then? You don't have to go through therapy and stuff. I will give you a pill that will do the same thing, but faster and better. It will even increase your mana output."

"No, thanks."

The red-haired forced a smile as he gripped the baseball bat tightly.

"I see. How about the miss, though? We also provide—"

"I said we don't need anything. Can you get the fuck out of my face?"

"Hehe~ You seem to have a temper issue."

It was a crime for a hero to use their powers on other civilians, thus the thugs were sure that no matter what they do, Rudy wouldn't be able to do anything to them.

Rudy conjured raging fire in his palm and said, "Can you see what this is?"

Surprised, the red hair stared at the fire and smiled.

The Yellow-haired raised his bat above his shoulder and asked, "Are you picking a fight?"

"Hey, relax." The red hair stepped in between and apologized to Rudy. "We will take our leave."

The red-haired left with the yellow-haired, although he was reluctant to leave.

"You better watch out, boy!"

Kaguya turned to Rudy. "Why did you do that?"

"What?"

"You provoked them!"

"Why are these thugs roaming here? Well, his place reeks of crime and criminals, so I don't want your answer. What I want to know is why is your friend in a place like this?" Rudy asked with a judging look in his eyes.

"I have no idea. The last time I came here, there were no thugs. It's my first time coming here after six months."

Skish~!

The door of the shop opened, and a woman walked out. She glanced back and forth at Rudy and Kaguya before hastily leaving the area.

A moment later, another woman appeared in the doorway, who was in her early twenties.. Although she seemed surprised, she recognized Kaguya and raised her brow.

"What are you doing here?" she asked with an uninviting look on her face.

"I brought you a customer," Kaguya responded and pointed at Rudy. "Let's keep this professional, Vida."

"Come inside."

Rudy and Kaguya entered the shop and were immediately greeted with the aromatic smell of incense.

Rudy glanced around and found the aesthetics of the shop quite amazing. He had never been to such a shop before, and everything seemed straight out of a game.

"Have a seat."

"This place is the same as it was before," Kaguya remarked.

"That's because I can do whatever I want here. Unlike some people who don't even know what's right for them."

'Now, now. What's happening here?' Rudy wondered. 'Didn't she say they are friends? It sure doesn't look like a friendly talk to me. Something must have happened between them.'

"Anyway, can you help him?"

"A patient just left and I am out of energy. It will take me a while to replenish, so you will have to wait."

Vida was getting rid of the materials used in the previous sessions.

"You can hear his issue until then."

"I can, but now. I have some stuff to do. Give me five minutes."

Vida went to another room, leaving Rudy and Kaguya alone. Rudy took the chance and asked Kaguya if something had happened between the two of them.

"I talked about my destiny to work as a nurse in the city hospital, right?"

Rudy nodded in response.

"It was her. When she told me that, I didn't believe her and went to another spiritualist—who I knew was Vida's rival. And she told me the same thing. Vida somehow found out and… sigh."

"I know it's none of my business, but you are in the wrong here."

"I know. I apologized to her many times but… it doesn't look like she is willing to forgive me anytime soon."

A few minutes later, Vida returned with new materials and placed them on the platform.

"Is everything ready?" Kaguya asked, seemingly wanting to start a conversation with her sulking friend— Vida.

Vida picked up her scarf and wrapped it around her neck. "Let's talk while eating. It will help me boost my energy quicker."

They left the shop and headed to the path leading to an underground restaurant in the same facility.

Rudy noticed the thugs here and there and couldn't help but inquire about it.

"It all started three months ago. And their numbers keep increasing. Everyone here is frustrated since they are interfering with the businesses, but there is nothing we can do about them."

They entered the restaurant and Kaguya explained Rudy's issue to Vida since Rudy sucked at explaining things.
