Chapter 1081: Starting the Treatment

"I have had patients like you before. Don't worry, I am confident in my skills that I will be able to help you out," Vida said with a serious look on her face.

She wasn't merely boasting with overconfidence. There was no hint of arrogance in the slightest.

After returning from the hospital, Rudy had done his research about the spiritualist and their powers. At that time, he had a thought— why shouldn't he go to the world's best spiritualist instead of some low ranked one?

Although Rudy couldn't find his answer, it was obvious that there were many spiritualists who made billions out of people's misery and forced them into prolonging their treatment.

Perhaps it was because Kaguya had recommended him to go to Vida, or maybe he just wanted to have a short date with Kaguya.

Rudy wanted to interfere in between, but decided not to.

"Ah, ah ah. Not listening." Vida shook her head like a child. "Keep your half-hearted apology to yourself. I always thought you were my friend, but I didn't know it was a backstabbing snake."

'Trust was the only thing in the world that cannot be bought. One could fake it, but it was easily verifiable. Unlike love, that involves emotions.' Rudy suddenly attained wisdom.

"Now, Rudy, I have a question for you." Vida turned to Rudy and pointed the chopsticks at him. "How do you think you lost those memories? Can you recall a triggering event?"

Rudy took a moment to ponder and thought, 'To be honest, I want to say before I regress, but that wouldn't be correct. I know a way to get those memories back. I can kiss the girls and possibly achieve that. But the problem is that I don't know who. Obviously, I can't go around kissing every girl I see. Well, it's technically possible, but that's a hassle.'

Rudy shook his head and answered, "I can't recall."

"Rudy, you have to be honest with me. If you are worried about me leaking your information, then that's not an issue. Your information is safe with me." Vida sipped the soup and continued, "Although, I can't guarantee about this bitch here." This chapter is part of the collection on *.

"I trust Kaguya. If I didn't, I wouldn't have come here on her recommendation," Rudy responded with a composed look on his face. "One shouldn't mix personal and professional problems. If Kaguya did something to you which was related to your profession, then you should treat her as a customer and forget about it. You shouldn't let it interfere with your personal life."

Rudy had enough of Vida's remarks on Kaguya. Although Vida was right to her own, her words were hurting Kaguya and he couldn't bear to watch it anymore.

"Of course. If she did something that is related to your personal life, you shouldn't let it come in between your profession." Rudy glanced back and forth between Vida and Kaguya and continued, "Nonetheless, I don't see how it's irrelevant here in my case."

"...!" Vida was shocked and stayed silent.

"..." Meanwhile, Kaguya was shocked for a different reason.

"Ahem! I apologize for my unprofessional behavior. Let's finish eating and proceed with your treatment."

A while later, Vida returned from the washroom and asked Rudy to pay the bill.

'What the fuck?! She is the one who ate the most! I only had a milkshake and Kaguya didn't even have anything! How come she is asking me to pay the bill?'

"That will be considered as your treatment fee," Vida reassured. "I left my purse at the shop."

'No shit! I wasn't going to pay the treatment fee, even if you hadn't said that.'

After paying, they left for the shop and noticed the number of thugs on the way had almost doubled, but they did nothing except stare at them.

After reaching the shop, Vida unlocked the door and went in.

"I will have you two wait here for a sec."

A moment later, a big and muscular woman walked out of the shop.

"Are you Rudy and Kaguya?" she asked

"Yes."

'I knew she was inside since I had scanned the area earlier. She is probably like a watchman… or a watchwoman.'

Rudy and Kaguya entered the store.

Vida was setting up the bathtub filled with water surrounded by incense. "Uhm, Rudy. How stressed would you say you are?"

"How do you measure that?"

"Just a guess is fine."

"I would say 8 out of 10."

"Well, that's not good. You will have to bring that to level 4 or below. If you want, you can drink that pink elixir placed on that platform." She pointed her finger. "The blue one is a sleeping agent. You can have that too, but I won't be able to ask you questions or receive your answers."

"What does the pink one do?"

"Think of it as anesthesia, but magical."

Rudy drank the pink elixir in one go and rubbed his face.

'I hope it works.'

Strangely enough, Rudy could feel himself at ease.

"How do you feel?" Vida asked curiously.

"It seems to be working."

"That's great. Judging by how it began working as soon as you drank it, your body must have a high aptitude for magic."

The elixir was simply a switch to make something happen. It would have had no effect on normal humans, while for Rudy, it had immediate and the strongest effect.

"Let me know when you feel comfortable."

"I am ready."

"Okay. You can take off your clothes now."

"Hmm?" Rudy raised a brow.

Vida turned to Kaguya and asked, "You didn't tell him how it all works?"

"We are not close enough to that kind of conversation."

"Rudy, you have to take your clothes off and dive into that tub."

Rudy was shameless. He would even walk naked on the street full of public if he had a reason to. So getting naked in front of two girls wasn't a big deal for him.

He stripped himself naked and made himself comfortable in the bathtub.
