Chapter 3089 Spilled Thoughts
Chapter 3089 Spilled Thoughts
Alex arrived at the room where Bai Jingshen was guarding them.
"You're out so quickly," Bai Jingshen said upon noticing Alex.
"Hasn't it been nearly two months now?" Alex asked.
"Yes, but that's barely anything for an Immortal, is it not?" Bai Jingshen asked. "You should spend more of your time cultivating."
"I spent all the time I could afford," Alex said. "I had to stop cultivating to start filling up my Origins."
"Good," Bai Jingshen said. "Which one did you start with?"
"The Tree," Alex answered.
"Is the Tree really a good choice as a Creation? Wouldn't it be wiser to focus on something you don't have?"
"I don't have the Tree," Alex said. "Or more accurately, I don't own it. I will have to return it to its rightful owners in due time."
"Right…" Bai Jingshen said. "The Nine Yang Court would hardly let you leave with it. How about not telling them?"
Alex chuckled a little. "I might keep it if I have that choice, but even then I need to turn it into a Creation. The Guardian Tiger mentioned it was the best choice I could make in the absence of something better."
Bai Jingshen nodded. "So you're done with four Origins?"
Alex was slightly taken aback. "No, three. The Tree was the third."
"But wasn't what you were doing previously for another Origin? And you said one of your Origins had been controlled by your body."
"Yes, so three," Alex said.
"And the one made of blood," Bai Jingshen said.
"Ah! You're counting that as well. Yes, then I've gotten started with four Origins, out of a total of nine. Five more remain. I should lock down what I want soon enough."
"Pearl needs to do that too," Bai Jingshen said.
Alex laughed. "So does Whisker. And probably Scarlet too. She will need to decide what else she wants to get aside from her flames."
Bai Jingshen couldn't help but laugh as well. "I'm glad that I didn't have to go through such issues when considering my Creations. Mine were obvious to me long before I started."
Alex narrowed his eyes. "You haven't told me what your Creations are, now that I think about it," he said.
"No, I haven't," Bai Jingshen said with a slight smile.
"I know one of them is the Blood Essence. What about the other one?"
Bai Jingshen raised an eyebrow. "Ah, Pearl must've told you. I would like to keep the other one a secret," he said, sporting a sneaky grin. "You've shocked me enough times. Maybe I can use this to shock you as well."
Alex raised an eyebrow. "Does it have something to do with outer space?" he asked.
Bai Jingshen's smile didn't fade. "You're not getting anything out of me," he said before bringing out something from his Soul Space. "Except for this thing."
He handed over a talisman. "It's a one-time-use talisman, so be careful. Once you read it through, it will be destroyed."
Alex held the talisman, confused. "What's this?"
"The technique," Bai Jingshen said, adding more when he saw Alex's confused face. "To bring out aura from something without aura. That's what you asked for, isn't it?"
"Oh! Yes," Alex said. "Why in a one-time-use talisman?"
"Because we're not allowed to share techniques that we get from our clan," Bai Jingshen said. "Whoever else wants it has to earn it themselves. I don't really make use of any of my contributions, so I could get it for you."
"How is it a one-time use?" Alex asked. "Once I learn it, wouldn't I be able to share it?"
"There's a late Divine realm cultivator's Intent in each of those techniques that you learn. If you share it, you have to fight through his Intent first," Bai Jingshen said.
Alex paused for a moment, chuckling. "I destroyed a seal around me created by a Half-God Celestial," he said. "Would a Divine realm's Intent do much?"
Bai Jingshen froze for a moment. "Right… that would not work on you at all."
"That's fine," Alex said. "I have no plan on sharing it anyway. Unless I have to."
Bai Jingshen nodded. "It's fine if you share it either way. I don't mind. I was just explaining how you might get hurt if you do."
Alex nodded. "Thank you."
"Are you returning to your cultivation now?" Bai Jingshen asked.
"Not for a bit. I want to talk to you about a few things I'm planning—not that I could call what I have a plan. I'm really just looking to spill out my thoughts and hopefully form something coherent along the way."
Bai Jingshen gave a serious nod instead of being amused. "It's good to have a solid idea of what you're doing. Otherwise, you might end up losing yourself to nonsense along the way."
Alex appreciated that and began speaking.
His topic of concern was, of course, about his Creations, so they were what he talked about first. He spoke of his issues with what he had planned and how he could maybe change them, if he even wanted to. He spoke of his concerns regarding the potential Creations he wanted.
He was also concerned about Pearl's and Whisker's Creations, but not as much since they would have to deal with their situation themselves. They needed to be somewhat independent in what they wanted as their final Creation.
Alex spoke of other issues plaguing him, such as his need to go to the Godkiller's tomb. But that would take quite some time, and he didn't have the ticket either.
He spoke about what he received from the memories, going into greater detail than he had previously. He needed to find a way to melt the sword to make a new sword.
He also had to deal with his Sword Heart, try and form one as soon as he could. He needed to give the older Alex and Emily their own Spirit Roots when he could. And lastly, he needed to deal with Pearl's soul as well as the Azure Dragon's blood they had received.
Bai Jingshen listened to all of his issues at first and then finally started speaking.
