Chapter 3182 Willing to Die
Chapter 3182 Willing to Die
"Soul Confluence takes a lot out of the one helping the other. If one is not at least 2 realms stronger, then the result becomes disastrous for both parties," the tortoise answered. "Even then, it takes so much out of us that we have to take breaks before we can continue."
"To evolve an Immortal, if the one helping is not a Celestial, there is a good chance they will both die."
Alex nodded to their words, taking it all in.
"Is it impossible for someone in the Divine realm?" Alex asked. "Could they not help Pearl?"
"Divine realm? No, I do not think so," the snake said. "It would take so much out of the soul of the beast to help him that they would undoubtedly die."
Alex remained silent, thinking.
"If you think you can help the tiger, you're still forgetting the most important issue," the tortoise said. "The ones who gave birth to him had mutated bodies, allowing the progeny to come about. The chances of you finding an Azure Dragon whose soul is equally mutated that can help you is close to none. Even if you do, they have to be in the Celestial realm."
"I understand very clearly," Alex said. "But as you mentioned, they don't have to be in the Celestial realm. A Divine soul can perform the Soul Confluence as well."
The snake let out a snort. "Only If they were willing to die."
Alex nodded. "What parent wouldn't?"
He had a somber smile now, knowing what must be done.
"Thank you. I have received what I came here for." He stood up and gave a deep bow. "Without the two of you, I would not have ever known how I could help Pearl."
The two beasts remained silent, neither understanding what Alex had figured out.
Alex looked back at the pool now that it was time to leave. "Please feel free to skip this question, but I was curious how you keep creating fresh blood."
"There is a formation where our bone marrow is used to produce more blood," the snake answered absentmindedly, his thoughts taken away by another topic entirely.
"Ah! That's possible, huh? I would've never realized," Alex said. "Thank you for answering. I will let you two recuperate now. If you wish, I can tell the matriarch to delay the next batch for a few more weeks. Conversing with me should've wasted much of your effort."
"Wait!" the tortoise quickly said, unable to keep its curiosity to itself. "What did you mean by his parents? You said his parents were dead. How would they help him evolve?"
Alex stopped himself from letting out a chuckle. "I am willing to trade this information with you if you are willing to tell me how your soul has been alive for this long."
Before the two beasts could make a decision, Alex could imagine they were thinking of a way to come back to life too, but he couldn't help them with that.
"Just to clarify, if your wish is to use my method to return to life, then it won't work," Alex said. "Mine strips the beast of their will. I wouldn't suggest it."
"We have no intention to," the snake said, seeming to come to a decision. "You may leave. We will not be trading any more
information."
Alex was fine with that. While he did want to know how their souls were still alive, he knew these things weren't something he needed to know any time soon. Besides, there were so many other routes for him to gain these answers as well.
"Then I shall take my leave, seniors," Alex said, bowing once again. "I'm sure we'll meet again. Who knows? Maybe the next time we meet, I may be the Sun God, coming here to get you all to act on your vow." The beasts said nothing, allowing Alex to leave a second later.
They remained silent for a while, even after Alex's departure, the two saying nothing. Only after a long time did the snake finally speak to his brother through his senses.
"Do you think he'll succeed?" he asked.
"I don't know. A White Tiger evolving into a-"
"Not that," the snake said. "Do you think the Sun God will rise again in this generation?"
The tortoise paused, unable to answer. After what felt like a long time, he finally responded. "I would be surprised if he did."

Alex arrived outside and found Xuan Lingkai waiting for him.
"Thank you for waiting for me, senior," Alex said. "If you don't mind, I'd
like to talk to the matriarchs."
The tortoise nodded. "They are waiting for you."
Alex arrived at the giant hall some time later, with the two beasts
already there.
"Have you gained what you were searching for?" the tortoise asked.
"I have, senior," Alex said. "It is all thanks to you."
The two matriarchs raised their eyebrows. "Then... you know the
truth."
"I do," Alex said. "I would not have expected something like that for a million years."
Never once had the thought crossed his mind that the souls of the progenitors were still alive and kicking.
"The technique to transfer the bloodline will still take some time to fully form," Alex said. "As it is now, it uses the Teleportation Dao, so I will have to come up with a way to make it usable without the dao. It shouldn't take me more than a few years. When I'm done, I'll send the
technique to you."
The two matriarchs nodded.
"We understand. Since we know about the Bloodline elements, we can
figure something out ourselves," the snake said.
"If it helps, you should try and use the blood inside the Ancestral Bloodline pool. It's the closest you can get," he told them.
The two matriarchs smiled. "We were planning on doing that since you explained what Bloodline Elements were."
"Oh!"
He supposed they knew the truth already.
"What will you do now?" the tortoise asked.
"I plan on returning to the Fighting Island, matriarch. My brother is waiting for me."
