Chapter 3293 The Dragon's Eye

Chapter 3293 The Dragon's Eye

Alex struggled to understand how it was possible for his Origin, which had just been filled, to form into a Spirit. That was the first step to Creation, meant to happen over a long period of time after the Origin was incubated with the aura it gained.

To form a Spirit meant that the person had entered the Immortal Spirit realm, but Alex was nowhere near it. He didn't even have the required Origins filled to break through to the 2nd realm of Immortal Transcendent. So how was it all happening?

'It's the Sun God's power, isn't it?' Alex thought. 'It's accelerating the growth of my Origin. Is it going to form a Creation next?'

This should've been a fact that made Alex happy, but instead it got him worried. Something happening so radically different from how it was regularly supposed to be was worrying enough, but the mounting fogginess of his mind added to that worry.

Something was happening to his soul that he couldn't yet tell. Before he had any chance of finding out, the Origin changed.

And the Spirit was formed.

If the Origin was an egg within which the Creation formed, then the Spirit was a crack in the shell, allowing just an aspect of the Creation to leak outside.

For the Creation that would be the Dragon Father, the Spirit was a golden eye with a vertical slit pupil. It was the dragon's eye.

As soon as Alex saw the eye, a feeling grew in him. He had no rational reason to think this, and yet, he did.

The Dragon Father was staring directly at him.

The Dragon Father was alive.

At the same time, the fogginess within Alex's spirit nearly doubled, and it continued to increase as the energy from outside continued to

flow into the Spirit, preparing for the dragon to come out of the shell. At that point, it was clear to Alex what was happening.

The Dragon Father, or more precisely, the Sun God, was alive within him. And it was not a mutual existence.

"You're trying to take over me," Alex said, staring at the eye of the behemoth. As he spoke, memories of his conversations with Godslayer returned to him.

There was a reason why Godslayer had to die before his memories and aura could be taken over by Origins.

"Creations are by definition a manifestation of your soul. To try and cram my soul into your Origin would've been to cram my soul into you. We would be at conflict, and one of us would've won."

Godslayer understood clearly that Alex's soul was much more powerful than his, which was why he didn't even consider lying about this to him and trying to take over his body. That was never going to happen. As such, he came to the decision to free his soul and let his spirit gain a new life.

The same was happening this time around as well. The Sun God's soul or spirit had found its way into Alex's Origin, and through it, the two were now in conflict.

And given the increasing drowsiness Alex was feeling, it was very clear to him who was going to win.

"All of this," Alex spoke up, "just to steal my body?"

"I do not steal," the Sun God spoke, his voice coming directly from within the egg where the dragon's eye lay. "I take what was given." "You're invading my soul," Alex said through gritted teeth.

"Incorrect," the Sun God said again. "I did not invade. You gave me permission to enter your body."

"I revoke my permission!" Alex shouted. "You lied to get inside of me. I will not allow you to remain here any longer."

The struggle was getting more and more difficult by the second. The dullness of his mind grew in tandem with the energy that flowed into the Spirit. At any point now, Alex was going to be evicted from his own mind.

"I did not lie," the Sun God said. "Your destiny since your birth was to evolve your body so we may return. You have fulfilled your destiny. You may rest now, knowing that you have done as you were asked. As we told you before, your suffering shall come to an end now."

Alex fought back with his Intent, but against the entirety that was the Sun God, his Intent was no more powerful than a candle flame compared to a bonfire.

The Sun God remained silent for a second longer before he replied. "It is too late for you to do anything now. My power has already linked itself to you. There is no going back after this."

Alex grunted.

"Do not worry," the Sun God said. "I shall do right by you once you are gone. I will look after your family and friends, your masters and your disciple. When I am you, the world will be a much safer place for everyone. So know well that your sacrifice will not be in vain."

In a way, the Sun God wasn't lying. He did only have good intentions. Alex could somehow tell that because their souls were now connected. It was impossible for the Sun God to lie to him in that

moment.

Everything the god had said was true, including the fact that he did not see this as an invasion. Alex had accepted his power, and as such, in the Sun God's eyes, he had relinquished his body.

But Alex had never once thought of this as giving up his body. He had always considered this moment as him gaining the power of the Sun

God.

Whether by being vague or by omission entirely, the Sun God had lied to him. Even if the god himself didn't consider it a lie, Alex did.

And yet, it was too late to consider anything at all.

Slowly, his mind grew duller and duller as the Sun God grew stronger and stronger. Soon, the Spirit would come out of its shell, form into a proper Creation, and Alex would no longer be alive within his own

body.
