Chapter 3519 Inner Realms
Chapter 3519 Inner Realms
By the time Alex had made his way back from sealing the pseudo-Voidgates, Pearl was also done with his cultivation session within one of the many Sacred Jade Lotuses.
He met up with Alex in the Jade Lotus Continent before explaining that he didn't want to return just yet. He wanted to see a bit more of this world.
"That's not a bad idea," Alex told him. "In fact, take Scarlet with you too. She hasn't seen much of the human world."
Pearl nodded, and a few moments later, Scarlet came out of his Soul Space. She was in her human form, just like Pearl was, as she didn't want anyone else to see the black feathers on her body and question her.
"Where are we going?" she asked excitedly, looking forward to it all. "For now, take some tours around this continent," Alex told her. "Then you can choose to go to either of the other two continents."
"The other two might be getting bored too. What about letting them out as well?" Scarlet asked.
The two she referred to were the older Alex and Emily, who had spent a lot of time in Alex's Soul Space. However, Alex didn't know how he could possibly let them come out. The most difficult part of it all would be explaining their existence.
"Not in this continent," Alex said. "They keep track of everyone who comes and goes. Maybe once you leave here and go to either of the other two continents, we can do it."
Scarlet thought for a bit and nodded. "Yeah, it might be a good idea to do so quickly though," she said. "From what I've determined, Whisker and the old man are about done with the preparations. They will soon start establishing the scripts, and they might want us out of there while they do it."
"I see," Alex said with a hint of surprise. "I'll consider it. You two go enjoy it though. There are a little over 3 years left before we leave this world."
Pearl and Scarlet nodded and left together. It would take some time for the other two humans to be brought out of his Soul Space, so he didn't need to worry about that either.
He contacted Whisker to see how far they had come along, and Scarlet hadn't been wrong. They were almost entirely done with the preparations, so now it was just a matter of carving out the dragon scales and placing them in the appropriate locations around the small floating island.
Making it all would take them around 3 months or so, after which they would need everyone to leave so they wouldn't mess things up. Having found all that, Alex returned to the Drunken Spirit continent with nothing else left to be done. He could go right back to cultivating
now.
Upon returning, however, Wineshard called for him.
"I have prepared Xue Yu'er's tournament recordings for you, just like you wanted. Do you want to see them right away, or will you do it later?"
"Oh! I nearly forgot I wanted to do that," Alex said with an excited look. "Can I do it right away?"
The prince smiled. "Sure. Come with me."
The prince took Alex to the Wine God's massive library, placing Alex in a nook behind a shelf where he could read everything in peace. The prince then brought over half a dozen talismans, each of which
recorded just segments of the tournaments.
"These are all the recordings from the tournament which feature Xue Yu'er," the man said, placing them on the table.
Alex thanked the prince and picked the very first one and began
watching it.
An initial part of the talisman was the introduction to the tournament itself, as it was necessary for keeping records.
The tournament was called the Great Talent Search, and it was held in the Silver Soul Realm, thanks to it being one of the Inner Four Immortal realms.
Alex looked up from the talisman. "Senior, what are the Inner Four realms?" he asked the prince.
"They are the four realms that take the least number of teleportations on average to reach," the prince explained. "Namely, they are the Eclipsing Heaven Realm, the Medicine World, the Split Sky Realm, and the Silver Soul Realm."
Alex hadn't heard the term before, but upon listening to the explanation, it made sense.
When the interrealm teleportation formations were set up in the past, each realm could only be allocated enough resources for a few of them. So, they had to decide which realm needed how many, all of which was based on a regular person needing the least number of jumps to go from one world to another.
In the end, the Sky God who had helped create the formation had devised a combination of teleportation formations that would allow anyone to start at any of the Immortal realms and reach any one of the other Immortal realms in 5 separate teleportations. That was true for 14 different human Immortal realms, which had other destinations they could never reach in less than 5
teleportations.
But the Inner Four were different in that the maximum number of
teleportations they needed to reach any other realm was only 4.
"I see," Alex said in the end. "I somewhat knew that was the case, but I never knew it had a name."
The prince nodded. "Now you do."
Alex thanked the man and resumed surveying the contents of the talisman. After the quick introduction to the tournament, the names of several gods were brought forth who had been involved in setting
up the tournament.
A total of 7 gods were involved in it, namely the Beast God, the Wine God, the Saber God, the Axe God, the Music God, the Array God, and the Formation Monarch. The Sky God and the Artifact God were also apparently involved, but not directly.
"So many gods helped establish it, huh?" Alex said with a hint of awe, before continuing.
Everything after that was about Xue Yu'er's performance in the
tournament.
