Chapter 431: Throne Incarnation

The beam fired by the blinking eye was immediately severed.

The dark blade continued unabated and fell on the dark pupil, splitting the eye into two.

Cracks appeared on the divided parts. Then, with a bang, they both broke into pieces.

The whole process, from start to finish, took nothing more than a brief moment.

Unfortunately, this time was more than enough for the feather to not only escape but also to recover.

Following a flicker across the feather, it quickly elongated and turned back into the Feathered Devil.

Her appearance remained the same, and the feathered armor on her body was intact.

Yet, her fluctuating aura and pale face made it clear that she was not as unbothered as she seemed.

Of course, the physical harm she had suffered was almost nothing, and she would be able to recover fairly quickly.

What troubled the Feathered Devil the most was not her injuries, but the scene she had just witnessed.

"How is this possible?! Didn’t you just advance?"

"How can you possibly merge into your concept and achieve Throne Incarnation?"

The Feathered Devil’s outlook on life seemed to have been turned upside down.

Throne Incarnation—an ability that Archdevils could obtain by gaining a sufficient understanding of their own Throne.

By achieving it, an Archdevil could briefly transform into the concepts embodied by their bloodline, not only allowing them to dodge physical and soul attacks but also granting them certain abilities.

The Feathered Devil knew that she had not been mistaken!

Liora’s previous transformation was not a trick, but a sign of achieving Throne Incarnation!

This was exactly what made her so shocked.

How could someone who had just advanced be able to do this?

Could it be that the information they obtained was wrong?

Unfortunately for her, Liora was not planning to give an answer to these questions.

Seeing that the Feathered Devil had recovered but was absent-minded, she raised the dark blade and was about to attack her once more.

However, the familiar sound of explosions interrupted her.

A disgusting black liquid dripped out, having the appearance of oil but the corrosive properties of acid.

Upon seeing this, Liora understood that this man was bound to be her biggest obstacle in this battle.

Unlike the Feathered Devil, whose main strength was obviously close-quarters combat, this man was proficient in ranged attacks.

If Liora were to fight against the former, he would surely interfere from a distance and place her at a disadvantage.

With that thought, Liora’s eyes narrowed.

She no longer paid attention to the Feathered Devil but directly pointed her blade towards her companion.

With a shove against the illusory floor under her feet, she flashed forward and swiftly approached him.

But before she could go very far, four more banging sounds echoed.

Four of the Thousand-Eyed Devil’s eyes burst apart.

In return, two more eyes formed around Liora.

Compared to the ones she had faced earlier, they were not only larger and more majestic, but the beams they fired out were several times more terrifying.

Liora had to use the dark blade to chop one of them, but had no time to swing her blade at the second one.

Fortunately, just when it seemed that the beam would reach her, a revolving black sphere appeared on the palm of her other hand as she stretched it out.

A great devouring force was created with the sphere as the center.

The beam was affected. It slowly broke apart and integrated into the black hole until it vanished completely.

The confrontation took merely a moment. The Feathered Devil had yet to recover from the previous shock.

It was only when the Thousand-Eyed Devil touched his seven broken eyes with heartache and yelled furiously that she finally reacted.

"What are you doing standing there like an idiot? Come and help me!"

His shout jolted the Feathered Devil awake.

As she stared at Liora, who was constantly growing closer to her companion, she knew that she had to intervene.

Not only for the Thousand-Eyed Devil’s sake, but also for her own. For some reason, the Feathered Devil’s intuition told her that she could not let Liora do as she wished.

Otherwise, her life would be in grave danger!

Liora couldn’t help but groan upon seeing her approach.

Especially when she saw her wave her wings and bring a storm of feathers down, she felt helpless.

She found herself besieged from three directions.

The Feathered Devil, the Thousand-Eyed Devil, and the metal chains firing out of the formation, which were trying to restrain her.

"Fortunately, the main function of this formation is not to attack me but to prevent me from escaping. However, this also means that I can’t easily break it and leave this place."

"At the very least, I would need several seconds to break it apart."

This was a short amount of time for normal people.

But would her opponents give her that time? Impossible!

In the time it took her to open a gap in the formation, the two Archdevils could kill her several times.

While waving her hand and erecting a wall of Nothingness to defend against the incoming feathers, Liora’s mind couldn’t help but run wild.

She knew that she had to take at least one of the three parties out. Otherwise, she would eventually find herself on the losing side.

The formation was quickly ruled out as a potential option.

Similarly, although the Feathered Devil had been weakened, her physical strength made her far more difficult to kill than an ordinary Archdevil.

Liora turned towards the Thousand-Eyed Devil.
