Evolution: From Little Devil to Devil Empress

Chapter 433: Plan Works Out & Suppression

Chapter 433: Plan Works Out & Suppression

Under the stunned gaze of the Feathered Devil, her companion’s body became increasingly illusory.

Then, wrapped up by the waves of the transcendent river, he began to move backwards.

Images flashed along his path, not of the present or future, but of the past.

The scene of him self-immolating to launch attacks at Liora was replayed, as time around him seemed to have turned backwards.

Before long, the Thousand-Eyed Devil had appeared in his original position, at the place where he had stood before the battle even started.

Or to be more accurate, he appeared right in front of Liora.

It was only then that he regained his consciousness and realized that his position had been manipulated and he had been moved away.

Unfortunately, there was nothing he could do.

As soon as he changed places, the Thousand-Eyed Devil found himself facing not only the sword strike of the Feathered Devil, but also his own attacks.

Several beams shot out of the majestic, constantly blinking eyes.

Half of them targeted Liora, while the other half looked destined to land on the Thousand-Eyed Devil.

Liora’s face was pale, but she subconsciously broke into a smile.

She knew that her plan had succeeded. Now was the time!

Ignoring the backlash of activating Snake of Time to affect an Archdevil, she immediately cast Throne Manifestation and transformed into a gray cloud.

This time, the particles did not remain still and simply defend against the attacks.

Rather, they quickly wrapped around the Thousand-Eyed Devil and prevented him from escaping or using any other trump cards.

A lot of things had occurred.

The Thousand-Eyed Devil had been moved through means that neither of the two Archdevils could recognize, while their opponent was now keeping him "hostage".

Yet, the time it took for all this to happen was so short that neither of the two could react.

The Thousand-Eyed Devil could only watch powerlessly as Liora’s Throne Manifestation bound him tightly, while the Feathered Devil had no time to retract her attack.

The next moment, the barrage of attacks finally arrived.

Sizzling sounds echoed as part of the gray mist was literally wiped away.

A soul-tearing pain assaulted Liora’s senses. She felt as if thousands of tiny ants were biting on her skin and devouring her while she was still alive.

However, Liora was not the one who suffered the most in this situation.

Besides the sizzling, a piercing scream spread.

The Thousand-Eyed Devil’s body was first severed into two by his companion’s sword, and then his remaining parts were struck by the flashing beams.

His fragile body was ripped apart.

Although Indestructible Matter surged and tried to weave his remains together, even more attacks arrived the next second and prevented it.

Within a moment, he was broken down into his tiniest particles hundreds of times.

It was only after his Indestructible Matter was nearly exhausted that the attacks ceased.

As the last bit of Indestructible Matter was consumed to reform the Thousand-Eyed Devil’s body, his horrifying face couldn’t help but break out in cold sweat.

The previous situation had been extremely dangerous.

If the attacks had lasted for just a split second longer, he would have been wiped out!

There would have been no chance for recovery. He would have really perished!

"Fortunately... Fortunately, my luck is good. Just a bit... Just a bit and I would have died.", he couldn’t help but mutter, his voice trembling with fear and astonishment.

However, the Thousand-Eyed Devil was not relieved for long.

The next moment, he was reminded of his current predicament.

Though he had survived, the battle was far from over just yet.

Evidence of this was the illusory river that suddenly appeared above his head.

As its long shadow was cast upon the Thousand-Eyed Devil and seemed to pull him into a long dream, his thousands of eyes grew terrified once again.

Unfortunately, his body had no power to move.

The illusory river crashed onto his body.

Its waves wrapped him up and pulled him into its illusory waters. Waves flowed, pushing him towards the river’s bottom.

Just when the Thousand-Eyed Devil struggled to break free like a person who didn’t know how to swim, an unassuming hand suddenly patted the river’s surface rather gently.

The water surface barely moved and was hardly impacted.

Yet, an astonishing amount of power struck the struggling Thousand-Eyed Devil within it.

The pressure of the water itself was already difficult for him to withstand.

Now that an outside force had intervened, he was pushed to the bottom of the river, and he sank lower and lower.

Before long, the Thousand-Eyed Devil’s remaining eyes grew confused.

His vision became increasingly blurry until, suddenly, it darkened and he lost consciousness.

The Thousand-Eyed Devil had the experience of struggling in a dark place for tens of thousands of years before he finally succumbed to his fate.

But in reality, barely a moment had gone by since he fell into the river.

As Liora waved her hand, the Snake of Time returned to her body and retreated back into her soul space.

She knew that this technique could not be used for the foreseeable future.

Although its status was extraordinary since it utilized the power of time, it was just a nascent technique that was still at the 1st Level after all.

Being able to seal an Archdevil was already impressive enough and was a testament to its strength.

As for using it in battle simultaneously? This was obviously impossible.

However, Liora did not mind. She knew that she had gotten rid of the biggest obstacle, and the outcome of the battle was half decided.

Shifting her focus back to reality, her soul power surged, and a majestic golden pupil shone at the center of her forehead.

It didn’t launch any attacks, but inspected the formation around her.

Liora had previously been unable to break out of it because the Thousand-Eyed Devil was manipulating it.

However, now that the opponent had been suppressed and she had the third eye’s assistance, breaking the formation was actually quite simple.

"But this is not what I want to do. Rather than breaking it, I would rather it be used to my advantage.", Liora whispered, and her demonic energy suddenly flared.

It turned into invisible threads and drilled into the space around her, rapidly moving towards the hidden core of the formation.

Within a moment, it had reached the formation’s depths.

Faced with no obstruction and interference, her demonic energy poured into the core, and a connection was established between them.

The metal chains trying to entangle Liora ceased abruptly.

With a wave of her hand, the power of several medium-level worlds descended and fired towards the Feathered Devil.

Under its suppression, the opponent was barely able to defend herself. And that, not for long.

Soon, the sound of flesh being ripped apart echoed.

Liora had only been at a small disadvantage when faced with the three parties in the past.

Now that the situation had turned from three versus one to two versus one in her favor, dealing with the Feathered Devil was only a matter of time.
