Chapter 565: Leave & Return
Chapter 565: Leave & Return
With each passing second, Liora’s Evolution Points would increase.
Though the speed of the process was not drastic, the steady improvement was more than enough to satisfy her.
“The System has been running for less than two months by now, yet I’ve already managed to gather several million Evolution Points.”
“Given enough time, the result of the constant accumulation will become evident.”
Unfortunately, Liora didn’t have the time to wait for that moment to arrive.
The three-month period set by the War Academy’s Trial was nearing its end.
Soon, the time would come for her to leave the secret realm and return to the outside universe.
Fortunately, she had already managed to deal with everything that needed her attention.
“The Human Empire is already on the right track.”
“With Ysset acting as its Guardian Beast and the System controlling the Awakeners, it’s impossible for anything to escape my control.”
“As for the Human Temple’s members, they are even less likely to cause any trouble. After all, their Elder and actual leader is currently under my control.”
In fact, Liora could have gotten rid of these people long ago.
The only reason she hadn’t was that she knew full well that they could not cause her any trouble.
At the same time, Liora wished to use them as a way to stabilize the Blood Forest Realm.
The Human Empire could not control everything.
Otherwise, it would sooner or later be unable to provide her with Evolution Points, while people’s faith would grow diluted.
Maintaining a balance between the Human Empire, the demons, the Devils, and humanity itself was a way to ensure that this would stay true.
Liora shook her head, suppressing these thoughts.
Soon, she sent Alpha to deal with the Empire’s matters and shifted her attention back into her body.
“Only a few days remain.”
“Although it’s hardly enough to enhance my strength, there’s no reason to waste this time…”, she whispered under her breath and resumed her practice.
—
Just as Liora anticipated, the last few days passed by quickly.
With her control over the Blood Forest Realm, nothing that needed her attention happened, and she was able to remain in seclusion.
By the time she opened her eyes again, the time for her to leave had finally come.
Her consciousness swept through the entire continent, taking in everything that was currently happening.
“I’ve been using my own means to conceal the changes within the Blood Forest Realm and preventing the Human Federation from detecting anything.”
“Once I leave, it’s highly likely that the Information World will get access to such information.”
In fact, the chances of anyone discovering these changes were relatively slim.
However, Liora had always been extremely cautious in her actions, even if she strongly doubted that the Human Federation could truly threaten her.
“Moreover, giving up my identity is unnecessary. The Cosmic World still contains countless mysteries that are waiting for me to explore.”
“Whether it is the Human Federation, the Zerg, or the Mechanical Race, there are bound to be things there that can benefit me.”
Most importantly…
“The Hollow Ancestor has still not shown up.”
“Perhaps I’ll need to rely on the Human Federation’s power in order to find and deal with him.”
With all these thoughts, Liora didn’t hesitate any longer.
With a mere thought, the Cosmic Sea within her body shook, and a figure emerged from inside.
It looked exactly like her.
The only difference was that it looked slightly more majestic and was accompanied by an aura of righteousness and humanity.
It was the Human Emperor clone.
As soon as it appeared, the world itself resonated with its will, as though it had become the Will of the secret realm.
Liora nodded in satisfaction as she sized it up.
The more she examined it, the more heartfelt her smile became.
“The clone was already powerful enough to deal with ordinary Rank 11 Awakeners. After several months of nourishing itself through absorbing faith, its strength has taken a step further.”
By borrowing the power of the Blood Forest Realm’s humans and employing the Human Emperor Sword, the clone could now rival Awakeners at the peak of Rank 11.
As far as Liora knew, although such people certainly existed within the Human Federation, they were undoubtedly quite rare.
With the Human Emperor clone staying in the Blood Forest Realm, nothing could go wrong.
The Human Federation would never realize what had taken place unless an opponent of an equal level entered the secret realm in person.
With that thought, Liora didn’t say anything.
Controlling the clone, she let it turn into a streak of light and leave the dark void.
Moments later, its figure landed on the Imperial Palace, and it waved its hand, requesting the Empire’s ministers and officials to gather.
In the meantime, Liora’s true body summoned Alpha and Ysset.
It didn’t take long.
Only a few minutes later, two figures had emerged before her—one of a woman and one of a small silver dragon.
Nodding and motioning the two to get up, Liora first focused on the latter.
She stared at Ysset for several moments, making her scales bristle.
Just as Ysset was starting to grow terrified, Liora spoke up.
“My true form is going to leave this world for a while. Although I’m planning to leave a clone behind, the Human Empire will still require your help to remain stable.”
“I’ll be relying on you in the future.”, she said as she reached out and gently patted Ysset’s glowing scales.
Ysset was surprised inwardly but nodded her head on the surface.
She couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.
Although she had agreed to become Liora’s mount, her nature as a mythical dragon made her unwilling to truly accept it.
Even though nothing would change after Liora’s departure and Ysset’s status would remain the same, she at least wouldn’t have to face the cruel reality at every moment.
Liora naturally did not know what this dragon was thinking. Even if she knew, she wouldn’t have paid much attention.
After offering a couple more instructions and reminders, she waved her hand to dismiss her.
At the same time, her eyes locked onto Alpha.
She tapped on her temples with her slender fingers.
Feeling the power arrive, Alpha bowed. Her body began to disperse, transforming into azure lights that merged with Liora’s body.
Liora uttered no word throughout the process. After she took one last look at the dark void around her, she stretched her hand and clenched her fist, as though grabbing something.
The next moment, the space itself began to shatter, breaking into billions of tiny fragments.
Only a crimson streak of light shot out of it, appearing in the palace before firing toward the sky above.
Soon, it had reached the edge of the Blood Forest Realm, touching upon its membrane.
Following a pop, it was ejected from the secret realm.
