Evolution: From Little Devil to Devil Empress

Chapter 570: Shattered Galaxies

Chapter 570: Shattered Galaxies

The results were immediate.

A tremor rushed through the two worlds as their level began to upgrade.

Within the world near the Human Emperor Star, the environment rapidly transformed.

Forests emerged, seas appeared, followed by jungles, mountain ranges, deserts, and countless other landscapes.

Then, hunched figures gradually took form.

Resembling upright apes, they looked like humans that had yet to complete their evolution.

An aura of righteousness descended from the Human Emperor Star and enveloped these beings, as though preparing to push them toward the next stage.

Unfortunately, the process came to an abrupt halt halfway through.

The external energy sustaining their evolution appeared to have been exhausted and was put on hold.

Liora paused, but she quickly accepted it.

Her gaze shifted toward the other world.

There, the changes were just as earth-shattering, though they had taken an entirely different direction.

Unlike the flourishing landscapes surrounding the Human Emperor Star, a vast sea of blood had materialized across the floating planet.

It surged endlessly, seemingly driving the entire world forward, while countless beings stretched their claws from within and grasped toward the empty sky.

For a moment, Liora almost thought she was looking at members of her own kind.

However, the thought vanished as soon as it appeared.

She couldn’t sense the slightest trace of Devil bloodline within them.

These creatures were not from a certain race, but had been born purely out of blood.

If they had to be given a name, the term “Blood Clan” would be the most appropriate.

“I can sense that these beings possess an extraordinary affinity with the power of blood.”

“If I wished, I could even integrate my own bloodline into them and transform them into my descendants. There would be no rejection.”

“Unfortunately…”, Liora shook her head. She ultimately decided against it.

Although creating new descendants would strengthen both her Throne and the Cosmic Sea, these creatures’ paths would become fixed from birth.

Compared to that, she preferred allowing the lifeforms within the Cosmic Sea to evolve naturally. Only in such a way would they have a chance to flourish.

Closing her eyes, Liora carefully sensed the changes within herself.

Her strength had increased by only a tiny fraction.

The improvement was truly negligible.

Even so, it completely confirmed her earlier hypothesis.

As long as the Cosmic Sea continued devouring external resources, its growth—and by extension, her own—would only be a matter of time.

Thinking this, the Liora standing in the outside world slowly opened her eyes.

Endless cosmic dust filled her vision as it swirled around her without end.

An idea surfaced in her mind as soon as she saw this.

With a single thought, the domain of cosmic dust expanded once again.

It was already enormous, more than enough to engulf the shattered fortress and the sea of blood left behind by millions of deaths.

Yet now, it expanded even further.

One light-year. Ten light-years. One hundred light-years.

Within seconds, the cosmic dust had spread across more than half the galaxy.

Every planet, asteroid, and celestial body that stood in its path was instantly crushed, reduced to pure essence before being absorbed into the Cosmic Sea.

Fortunately, those worlds had long since been evacuated because of the secret realm’s existence.

There wasn’t a single living human left behind, allowing Liora to devour endlessly with no hesitation.

The cosmic dust grew denser.

For an instant, it looked as though the Cosmic Sea itself had descended into reality.

Liora sat at the center of this “sea” while every form of energy rushed toward her, flowing endlessly into her body.

The process did not last for long.

Moments later, a deafening crash echoed throughout space.

A tearing sound followed, as though reality itself was being ripped apart.

It wasn’t merely an illusion.

As Liora looked up, she discovered that space itself had indeed split open.

The galaxy itself showed signs of collapse.

The fabric of space fragmented into countless tiny pieces that drifted into the void.

None of them managed to escape, however.

The cosmic dust engulfed every fragment, grinding them into pure essence just like everything else.

Liora raised her eyebrows.

Not because she was shocked by the extent of this destruction, but because she suddenly noticed something unexpected.

Besides the matter absorbed into the Cosmic Sea, something else had appeared.

Clusters of pure white light.

Others within the Cosmic Universe might not have recognized their identity.

Liora, though, was quite familiar with them.

They were wisps of World Origin—the very energy upon which worlds depended.

The moment they entered the Cosmic Sea, they immediately dispersed, like oil blending into water.

Rather than descending onto any individual world, they spread throughout the Cosmic Sea and nourished it.

“Does the universe consider every galaxy to be an independent world?”

“Will shattering them produce World Origin?”, Liora suddenly realized.

Almost instinctively, she lifted her head and looked toward the sky above her.

She half expected the Will of the Cosmic Universe to descend and punish her for plundering its power.

Fortunately, even after several seconds passed, nothing happened.

Liora breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that she was safe.

Though she didn’t understand why the Will of the universe had chosen not to punish her, this was more than enough for now.

More importantly, that realization gave birth to another thought.

“The World Origin obtained from this galaxy is roughly equivalent to that of an entire lower-level world.”

On its own, this was nothing.

However…

“There are millions… perhaps even billions of galaxies throughout the universe. If I devoured them all, then how much World Origin will I be able to obtain?”

At that thought, Liora no longer hurried back to the War Academy.

Instead, she urged the Cosmic Sea even further, allowing the cosmic dust to spread toward the neighboring galaxies.

As countless celestial bodies were reduced to dust, new life continued to emerge within the Cosmic Sea, flourishing at an astonishing pace.

At the same time, more and more clusters of white World Origin were absorbed.

At an unknown location within the Cosmic Universe stood a vast hall.

A long table occupied its center, surrounded by dozens of colossal seats.

At first, every chair was empty.

But suddenly, a pillar of white light descended from the sky, condensing into a humanoid figure on top of one of them.

As it waved its hand and sent out an emergency signal, similar-looking figures materialized one after another.

“Johan, why have you called us together at a time like this?”

“Has something changed among the other three civilizations?”, one of the humanoid figures asked, the question addressed to the figure that had first appeared.

Contrary to everyone’s expectations, however, Johan shook his head.

A rare trace of hesitation flashed across his face before he finally spoke.

“No. There’s been another emergency.”, he said, his voice turning solemn.

“Not long ago, several galaxies at the Federation’s border were completely destroyed.”

“I’m not talking merely about the planets. Everything, including the galaxies themselves, was shattered.”

“As for the culprit… their identity remains unknown for the time being.”
