Chapter 615: Alice’s Real Function

Unfortunately for the little girl, her strength had long been sealed.

Even if it hadn’t, Alice’s strength would be gone.

Liora had finally comprehended this girl’s state of existence.

Thinking of this, Liora shook her head.

She looked at Alice, and from her current expression, she judged that this little girl had yet to understand what her final fate would be.

The girl was still furious over Liora “stealing” her Law, completely unaware that Liora had effectively saved her life.

The more she thought, the more pity appeared in Liora’s gaze.

Such an expression only served to drive Alice even more mad, and her reaction grew even more intense.

Just as she was waving her “claws” around, looking like an aggrieved cat, Liora suddenly interrupted her.

“Alright. That’s enough.”

“You’ve had enough time to play. Now it’s time to stop. If not…”

Crimson patterns emerged from Liora’s palms and flowed toward Alice, looking ready to drill into her soul.

Almost instantly, Alice’s struggle ceased. Her angry expression vanished, and she repeatedly nodded her head.

“Yes! Yes!”

“I know! I know!”, she said, looking extremely well-behaved, as though the previous scene had been an illusion.

Liora took a deeper look at her, inwardly praising her for her acting skills.

Still, she didn’t say anything.

She glanced at the Mechanical Law in her other hand and felt the yearning emanating from the Cosmic Sea within her.

It seemed that her entire being wanted to devour this thing, making it one more of the stars within the Origin Sea’s prototype.

But the yearning was not as intense as when she faced the Myriad Dao Board. If anything, it was far weaker.

The two were incomparable.

“This makes sense.”

“The Myriad Dao Board contains a complete Rank 11 Law, while this one is merely at Rank 10.”

“Perhaps more importantly, the Cosmic Sea has now become more complete. Several of my previous talents have already jumped to Rank 10, with some being extremely close to breaking through the next level.”

With Liora’s current state, fusing one more Rank 10 Law would have negligible effects.

This Law’s only use for Liora at the moment was not to enhance her strength, but to instead serve as the key for the main city.

With that thought, Liora did not hesitate for long.

Under Alice’s incredulous eyes, she didn’t take the initiative to fuse with the Mechanical Law.

Instead, she waved her hand, enveloping it with her power and letting it flow toward the third, silent person within the space layer.

Alpha.

Even this trusted subordinate of hers struggled to react to this sudden change.

It was only when Liora spoke up that she understood the meaning behind this action.

“This Law is useless for me. Moreover, it does not fit with my current path.”

“It’s far more suitable for you. You’ve already seen that you can devour members of the Mechanical Race to strengthen yourself.”

“This is an opportunity for you. If you take advantage of it, you might well reach the Ancient Devil stage before we leave this universe.”

As she said that, Liora shook her head.

“However, I can’t help you hunt down Mechanical Race members as I also have my own matters. Since that’s the case, enhancing your own strength and letting you do it on your own is the far better choice.”

Liora’s explanation was actually quite accurate.

This was a unique advantage Alpha had taken notice of long ago, but something she had yet to truly take advantage of.

If her strength became high enough so that she could hunt down Mechanical Race members, her power would improve even quicker.

Moreover, Alpha didn’t have any concerns about integrating this Law.

Without caring for Alpha’s feelings, demonic energy emerged from her body.

Half of it flowed toward Alpha, while the other half controlled the Mechanical Law.

Then, under her subordinate’s stunned gaze, she brought the two together and forcefully merged them.

Instantly, an unfathomable power erupted from Alpha’s body, growing increasingly stronger with each passing second.

Seeing this scene, a smile appeared on Liora’s face.

She knew that once the fusion process was complete, Alpha’s strength would undergo another massive transformation.
