Chapter 619: Killed
Chapter 619: Killed
Liora didn’t rush to enter the battlefield—for either side.
She first examined the structure of the two teams and the powerhouses in their respective groups.
The results… were surprising.
The number of Venerables on both sides was the same, each with four such figures in charge.
Yet despite their even numbers, the Human Federation had found themselves in total disarray.
“Sure enough, there is no one who can compete against the Zerg in a battle of armies. Perhaps only the Mechanical Race can come close, but even they will suffer in the end.”
As for humans matching the Zerg’s tactics? This was impossible in Liora’s opinion.
With that thought, Liora looked down at her own Zerg Queen body and slowly approached the Zerg side, planning to enter their ranks.
But just as she was about to get closer, intending to notify the Venerable Queens of her arrival, a barrage of soul attacks arrived in her direction.
In unison, dozens of King-level Queens turned toward her and let out shrill cries, aiming directly at her soul.
Given the suddenness of their attack and the soul strength of their casters, even Venerables of other races would suffer greatly.
Fortunately, Liora immediately recovered.
Even so, she was faintly surprised.
This was the first time someone had seen through her disguise.
Especially since the Cosmic Sea’s creation, which had allowed her to perfectly conceal her aura, and the Law Stars, which could give her the abilities of the relevant race, nothing of that sort had happened.
Yet as Liora saw the army of Zerg Servants lunge in her direction, she understood that this was indeed the case. She had been discovered!
Facing their charge, Liora did not hold back.
In an instant, the faint Zerg characteristics on her disappeared, and she regained her original appearance.
Then, she calmly stretched her hand, using one of her long-lost talents.
Four elements gathered in her palm, and they clashed together, producing a powerful destructive force that sent shockwaves through the surrounding space.
A deafening boom soon echoed.
The moment the Zerg Servants met her blow, they were all torn apart.
Their identity did not matter. Whether they were World Lords, Kings, or even Venerables, they all met their own end.
The destructive force even spread along the battlefield, engulfing a large part of the surrounding Zerg army.
The army’s agonizing screams and the spray of blood instantly drew everyone’s attention.
Both that of the Zerg Queens and the Human Federation.
The Zerg were shocked, filled with hatred regarding the death of their descendants and companions.
The humans, surprisingly, were as stunned.
Judging by the aura Liora displayed and her current appearance, it was relatively obvious that she was a human just like them.
However, none of the four Venerables could recognize her.
Still, as they communicated with the Information World and confirmed her identity with the Human Army System, they quickly came to accept her.
They didn’t attempt to speak with her, but instead turned toward the human army behind them.
“Kill!”
“Our reinforcements have finally arrived!”
“The Emperor of our race has come to help us!”, the strongest Venerable shouted, and his words increased the confidence in the soldiers’ hearts.
Without any hesitation, their blows, already fierce and dripping with killing intent, grew even more ferocious and desperate.
In response to their outburst, the Zerg Queens did not need to communicate at all.
Under the command of their Queens, several Zerg Servants fused with each other to create more powerful Servants that inherited their strength.
As though they felt that this was not enough, the Venerable Queens’ expressions turned ruthless.
They stared at the King-level Queens, and their souls stirred as they gave a cold and decisive command.
Although fear, anger, and unwillingness flashed in the faces of the King-level Queens, they didn’t dare to voice their opposition.
Gritting their teeth, they also rushed forward in person, merging with the empowered Zerg Servants to create a single insectoid amalgamation.
The entire process from start to finish only lasted a split second.
In the blink of an eye, a several-kilometer-tall creature materialized in the endless space and rushed toward Liora at an incredible speed.
Born out of thousands of Zerg Servants and Queens, the creature’s strength had reached the peak of the Venerable Rank.
But compared to the “Emperor” Liora, it was still extremely weak.
Even so, the Venerable Queens did not care. They hadn’t created this creature to win the fight, but rather to escape.
Leaving the remaining Servants and Queens to hold the line, the four Venerables transformed into four streams of light and disappeared into the horizon.
Even Liora was surprised by their reaction.
Both regarding its swiftness, and about the decision they had made.
Obviously, for these Zerg Queens, sacrificing their descendants and even their other race members was nothing.
“It’s no wonder people say that the Zerg’s hierarchy is extremely strict. Even King-level Queens cannot disobey the orders of their superiors…”, she shook her head.
Despite her inner thoughts, however, Liora’s movements did not stop at all.
Staring at the amalgamation of Zerg before her, she calmly waved her hand once more, using her palm as though it were a sword and swinging it toward the enemy.
Four colors flashed around her skin, and as they blended together, they produced a power reaching the peak of Rank 10.
With a single strike, the insectoid monster was nearly divided into two.
With a second one, the monster was completely destroyed.
Only the agonizing screams of the fused Zerg Queens and Servants echoed before they all quieted down a moment later.
After doing this, Liora did not stop. Her head moved toward the four fleeing lights, and her aura erupted.
Within the Cosmic Sea, a four-colored Law Star trembled.
Four different abilities emerged.
Their appearances were ordinary.
A fireball, a blade of wind, a drop of water, and an earth spike.
Yet as soon as these “ordinary” abilities appeared in the real world, everything around them began to break apart.
Under Liora’s control, the four fired into the distance.
As a result, the escaping lights came to a stop a moment later.
Then, four screams rang out.
