Chapter 733: Creation of the Underworld
Chapter 733: Creation of the Underworld
“Allow!”
The moment that single word was uttered, the entire Veythalis World trembled.
Although Hermes had already expected such a response, he couldn’t help but smile wryly upon confirming his suspicions.
However, he knew that he no longer had a choice.
Under the watch of the entire world, he could only continue what he had started.
And he immediately did so.
Without any hesitation, he began to use his Divine Fire to burn his own body.
His strength, accumulated over millions of years, was set ablaze.
He turned into a torch.
Within moments, he had shed his human form, having transformed into a single speck of golden light.
Before anyone, including the two Dragon leaders, could react, that light had vanished.
It seemed as though the previous scene had been an illusion. However, no one would mistakenly believe that.
The stronger one was, the more confident they were in that assumption.
That was because a moment later, the entire Mortal Plane shook violently!
—
The moment Liora’s consciousness descended into the Cosmic Sea, she witnessed the scene of Hermes’ speech and heard his question.
A bright light flashed across her eyes.
The next moment, she gently pointed her finger at the Veythalis World and spoke.
“Allow!”
The moment that word was spoken, the scene of Hermes’ burning followed.
Under her control, the power of the world emerged and guided Hermes’ subsequent transformation.
The light that disappeared from the Mortal Plane appeared directly under the Veythalis World.
Then, it began to expand.
If any other person were here to witness its transformation, they would see that the light slowly grew into a thin layer right below the Mortal Plane before starting to grow thicker.
A third Plane, besides the Mortal and Divine Planes, was actually being gestated.
Unfortunately, Hermes had obviously overestimated himself.
Although a Demigod was powerful, it was nothing in front of the Veythalis World, a world that had been created through the fusion of the original Dragon World with Liora’s Kingdom of God.
Even after he exhausted all his strength, the new “Plane” failed to be born.
Far from creating a new Plane, Hermes had not even managed to create a complete demi-plane.
“Ultimately, a Demigod is nothing in front of the Veythalis World.”
“Let alone lighting up the Divine Fire. Even entering the divine realm wouldn’t make affecting this world possible.” Liora muttered.
She wasn’t saddened by Hermes’ failure.
She had already seen that he had succeeded in a way.
Although he had failed to create a new Plane, he had given birth to a new type of authority.
Just like he had previously claimed. If the Mortal Plane was the world of mortal creatures and the Divine Plane was the world of Divine Beings, then this new plane was the home of all dead souls.
In simple terms, it had turned into the embryonic form of the Underworld!
All it required was a single push to truly form.
And Liora was prepared to give it that push.
Noticing that Hermes’ power had been exhausted, she pointed her finger once again, this time at the new Plane.
Immediately, cosmic dust surged from all over the Cosmic Sea and rapidly rushed toward it.
Under its infusion, the Underworld became bigger and bigger.
Space was formed. The Plane’s core was created.
Then, the land itself began to be born.
All these meant that a Plane had been created.
Unlike the Mortal World and the Divine Plane, which were full of life, the Underworld seemed to be a dead place.
The ground was pitch-black, and gray mist swirled everywhere. Wailing screams echoed from inside, as though the mist led straight to Hell.
With every bit of cosmic dust fusing with it, the Underworld became increasingly stable.
The process was arduous and consumed a lot of energy.
Even Liora was surprised.
The amount of energy she had infused into the Underworld was enough to give birth to a Rank 13 being. Yet the Underworld showed no signs of having been created just yet.
This didn’t disappoint her. If anything, it made her even happier.
Even more cosmic dust emerged under her control and rushed into the Underworld.
Time slowly passed.
The beings within the Mortal Plane could sense that something had changed but could not pinpoint exactly what that was.
Only the Demigods could see clearly.
The souls of the dead, which had previously dissipated upon their death or had remained as clueless evil spirits, were now guided to another, faraway world.
Combined with Hermes’ words before his death, they already had a guess about what this entailed.
Meanwhile, outside the Veythalis World, the construction of the Underworld was finally being completed.
The moment the Underworld became as large as the Divine Plane, several times larger than the Mortal Plane, a black light flashed. Countless gates appeared all over its land.
Ghosts, souls of the dead, stepped out of them and appeared in this new Plane.
A connection with the Mortal Plane had been established, meaning that the Underworld had already been recognized by the other two planes. It had become a part of them.
The Veythalis World had gained a new Plane.
The Underworld!
This change was significant.
The Veythalis World had created a closed loop. It would no longer lose World Origin, being able to retain every single strand of its energy infinitely.
This meant that even without the absorption of external World Origin, the Veythalis World would be able to sustain itself eternally.
Conceptually, this nature was even higher than the Cosmic Universe, which required energy from the Origin Sea.
Even if its current strength was significantly weaker, its essence was half a step higher than a higher-level world.
The proof was that with the Underworld’s creation, the entire Cosmic Sea expanded.
Countless insights poured into Liora’s mind.
Reincarnation, Death, Soul.
For the current her, the level of these insights was hardly worth her attention.
Yet as long as the Veythalis World grew stronger and the Underworld continued operating, these insights would become more and more powerful.
Until finally, they were useful even for her.
Liora couldn’t help but smile faintly upon that realization.
Of course, the insights were not the only reason behind her happiness.
Besides them, there was also another reason:
She could finally complete one of the two goals she wanted to accomplish before she returned to the Demon World.
With that thought, two lights appeared in her hands.
Two souls.
One was completely foreign, and its brilliance suggested it was merely a mortal.
As for the other, it belonged to someone Liora was quite familiar with.
The Hollow Ancestor!
