Chapter 514: Importance of the Main Storyline

Chapter 514: Importance of the Main Storyline

As the saying goes, there's no medicine for regrets in this world!

Everyone has to take responsibility for the consequences of their actions!

Back at the mansion in Central City.

"Those two had seriously done it this time, have those two lost their minds?! They should have waited for at least two weeks or a month before making a move again! Zero is breathing down on my neck because of this, do we still have no contact with those two?" Robin was extremely frustrated by what his two friends did, especially when Zero had called him in person earlier today.

The man didn't specifically mention anything about their "extracurricular activities", but he felt like he was being blamed for it when he didn't even do anything excessive yet!

He wasn't even involved! He had only been playing Fate Online peacefully!

"Still no contact, and stop stressing yourself. If Zero wanted us to stop them, he would tell us straight up" Randy said when he saw how stressed out Robin is.

"Godbless it! Those two better not die or I'll kill them myself!"

In frustration, Robin yelled and stomped his foot on the floor before making his way back upstairs.

"What's up with that old man? It's not like this is the first time we've gotten ourselves in a huge trouble" Randy asked the people around him.

"He's probably acting like that since some guild had stolen a boss from him," Tony replied while sitting comfortably on the long sofa with a small drum of ice cream that she's snacking on.

Hearing that, Randy turned to her with an incredulous expression and said, "Wait a second, are you telling us that he was raiding a boss all by himself and he didn't even invite us?"

"Yeah, why do you think we haven't been seeing him for a couple of days now? He's been busy in the game, only for his hard work to get stolen from him. It was already a miracle that he didn't go haywire on us" Tony answered before ignoring them again as silence once again descended in the living room.

Turning his attention to Miya who had remained quiet all this time, Randy asked, "What about you, Miya? Do you have any plans on going to the Western Continent?"

Immersed on her phone, Miya didn't even look at him and just replied, "Hmm…yeah. I'm gonna hitch a ride with War Angel. What about you?"

"Eh…I thought you're gonna stay back and grind some reputation in the Empire?" Randy said with a little surprise in his voice.

"Yeah, but I can't miss the opportunity of participating in an event that might lead to a main storyline. After all, one of us should at least get it, right?" Miya reasoned.

Suddenly a little confused, Randy softly uttered, "But, Michael is doing a main storyline though"

"Right, that's what I was saying…what?"

Miya was nonchalant at first, then she slowly looked up to look at him when his words finally registered in her mind, her face full of bewilderment!

Tony was also not spared from the sudden news, she was also astonished!

"Hang on a second, are you telling me that Michael had already received a main storyline quest?" Visibly flustered, Miya asked for clarification

A little startled at their reaction and obviously not aware of the immensity of what he said earlier, Randy carefully replied, "Yeah, he got it a couple of weeks after Fate Online was..launched. Why are you guys looking at me like that? Was it important?"

"Hahaha…Important?! Yeah, it wasn't that important. Arghhhh! How could you keep this news from us?! You're…DEAD RANDY! DEAD!

YOU HEAR ME?! Kriyaaah!"

"Ho..hold on! G-god dang it, Miya! How the hell would I know that it was something important?!"

Something must have snapped inside her as Miya suddenly started laughing eerily, Randy and Tony immediately knew that she had gone crazy this time, so the former hastily stood up from his seat and was prepared to flee!

But just as he did that, Miya suddenly threw her phone to the side and jumped up from her seat and with a beastly shriek, she charged towards Randy with a flying kick filled with her anger behind it!

"S-stop it, woman!" Randy yelled as he dodged a one two kick combo aimed at his body and head!

"I was scrambling looking for opportunities to stumble upon a main storyline quest that I even had to lower myself into following orders from a little girl! Do you know how humiliating that is for me?!" With a yell, Miya charged towards him with the intent to tackle him onto the floor, but Randy quickly took this chance and skillfully grabbed her arm and placed her in an armbar!

"L-let go!" Miya became even more incensed and repeatedly pounded his leg with her other free hand.

"You better calm down or I'm gonna break your arm! God dang it, I'm not kidding, Miya!"

"Ahhhh! Let go, you bastard!!"

Visibly angered this time and feeling the pain from Miya's attack, Randy placed more pressure on the armbar and this time, it finally made Miya scream in pain and ceased attacking him!

Watching the two on the floor, Tony shook her head while holding her head and muttered, "These two…will they ever change? This is the reason why Michael never takes them seriously. They act more like kids than adults"

"Now, now, you two, break it up. What would Olivia or her kids say if they saw you two like this?" Tony said as she walked over towards the two.

With reason slowly returning to her, Miya said, "Let go, I'm calm now"

Though she said those words, Randy didn't believe her since her eyes were still shooting daggers at him, but even so, he still slowly freed her arm with caution as he is ready to strike anytime if Miya tried to play tricks on him.

Miya picked herself up from the floor and started massaging her arm while glaring at Randy who stared back at her from the floor.

"You're already old, but you still can't control yourself when it's regarding things about games" Tony said as she checked Miya's arm for anything wrong.

Miya rolled her eyes and replied, "It just incensed me that this stupid jerk hid it from us and this is no simple game Tony! You know that!!"

"Shut up! How was I supposed to know?! It's my first time playing online games!" Randy retorted back in annoyance as he also slowly stood up.

"Oh please! Weren't you listening when Zero informed us about the importance of getting ahead on the main storyline?!" Miya angrily pointed at him.

Once again confused, Randy said, "What are you talking about? It has been years since my last contact from Zero"

Tony immediately came in between them as she felt that the volcano is on the verge of erupting again, "Calm down, Randy wasn't present that night since he was out on a date with Olivia that day. Besides, it's also our fault for forgetting to inform him about what took place that night. We've gotten too comfortable since we arrived at this place that we're even forgetting important things now"
