Chapter 347: A Worthy Opponent

FWOOOSH! FWOOOSH!

Upon hearing that his base was under attack, Gabriel immediately excused himself from the crowd and dashed toward the city gate, generating a violent gust of wind that slammed into the surrounding spectators.

"Where is he going?"

"What happened?"

His sudden movement startled those at the back who had not heard the report.

But for the likes of Scarlet, Liang Aras, and Jack, it was already clear what was happening.

"Sister, did you hear that we are under attack?" Alice asked, turning to Scarlet with urgency clear in her voice.

"Yes, I heard it." Scarlet frowned, a hint of annoyance slipping into her usually emotionless tone.

"So what are we going to do? Broken Dawn is our ally, right?"

"Come. Let us go check it out." Scarlet said, already moving after Gabriel.

Alice followed immediately with a helpless sigh, while Lilly hurried along behind them.

The players who overheard Bunny’s report immediately logged into the Realm Hub global forum, and sure enough, it had already become the most trending topic.

Tabitha_Oliver: Damn, who did Broken Dawn offend this time?!

Readerinthewind: Bro, this guild collects enemies like Pokemon.

Omegayellow: This is the price for having Sir Broken as your Guild Master.

Adrian_Hardin: This might be the end. Whoever attacked is not holding back.

Chriscole: Streaming link anyone? I want to watch them die. I mean fight.

...

Gabriel shot through the streets like a launched arrow, each step kicking up a cloud of dust behind him. Civilians along the roadside staggered as the pressure wave slammed into their bodies.

"GYAA! What was that?!"

"Was that a person?!"

"No way. That speed!"

But he did not stop. He did not even slow down. His mind was locked on a single thought.

Whoever dared to attack his base was going to regret being born.

’I knew it. That nagging feeling was not wrong. So it really was an attack.’ As he ran through the streets, his thoughts flashed back to the unease he had felt while ascending the tower.

Gabriel vaulted over a merchant truck and, within seconds, reached the outer district. Dust spiraled violently behind him, forming a miniature sandstorm.

Behind him, Scarlet followed closely. Yet she moved so lightly that not a single speck of dust rose beneath her feet, almost as if she were hovering above the ground.

Alice was right behind her. She was keeping up surprisingly well without much difficulty, but the growing distance between her and Scarlet made her click her tongue in annoyance.

The only one truly struggling was Lilly.

As for the rest of Broken Dawn, Sophie had ordered them to take a truck instead. After all, not many possessed Sir Broken’s monstrous stamina.

"We just left the tower. Why is this happening the moment we breathe fresh air?!" Lilly cried.

"Move faster," Alice snapped coldly. "And stop whining like a child."

Scarlet overheard the exchange but said nothing. Her sharp eyes remained locked on Gabriel’s rapidly fading silhouette.

...

Some time later, after running at top speed for nearly twenty minutes and pushing himself to his absolute limit, Gabriel finally skidded to a stop in front of his guild base.

The moment he took in the devastating scene before him, his expression darkened. The suppressed killing intent he had been holding back exploded outward without restraint.

The air noticeably grew hotter.

The first person to feel the change was Geoffrey, who stood outside the battlefield, not daring to step closer since he was not a combatant.

Stiffly, the butler turned, his gaze colliding with a pair of electric blue eyes.

"Huk!" The usually composed butler flinched back in shock as he felt the storm of killing intent surrounding Gabriel.

Those cold, emotionless eyes did not look human. It was more fitting to call them the eyes of a monster.

"Y you are Lord Gabr"

Gabriel did not allow him to finish.

His fist smashed into Geoffrey’s gut, knocking the air straight out of his lungs.

Given how close the car and the man were to the battlefield, it was obvious he was connected to the attackers.

"Bastards. How dare yo"

BANG!

Another punch blurred forward and smashed into the butler’s face. The last time, Gabriel had held back considerably, afraid of killing him outright.

This time, he used more force.

Geoffrey was knocked to the ground.

"Alice," Gabriel called without turning around.

"Y yes, master!" Alice replied instinctively, jumping in fright at the coldness in his voice. She did not even realize when she had started calling him that.

"Watch over him. Hand him to Sophie when she arrives."

From the side, the Vampire Queen hovered slightly above the ground, her gaze fixed on him. Through their bond, she could feel the intense rage boiling within his heart.

His anger was further intensified by his Berserker class, causing his killing intent to leak uncontrollably into the surroundings.

She wanted to say something, but decided against it.

It was still hard for her to believe that this was the same calm and composed human she had met inside the tower.

"It appears I still need to study him more."

The first thing that greeted Gabriel inside the base was the shattered walls. Walls he had personally built using his extraction talent.

They were sturdy, but they could not withstand the relentless assault of multiple Hero Rank existences.

That alone told him the level of enemy he was facing.

He stepped through the broken gate, his boots sinking slightly into the blood soaked ground.

The heavy metallic scent of blood assaulted his nostrils. Every drop belonged to someone who had sworn loyalty to him. Someone he had promised to protect.

Step. Step.

He took another step forward.

The clash of magic and steel finally reached his ears.

Then he saw it.

A massive man with a square face and bulging muscles was effortlessly slaughtering his subordinates as if they were nothing more than paper.

On the battlefield, Dante had focused his attention on Sniperbowlegend. The archer was one of the main reasons the camp had not yet been completely flattened.

He was about to end him once and for all.

But before he could move, a suffocating killing intent slammed into his back.

Instantly, Dante’s hair stood on end.

’This feeling...’ His eyes widened slowly as a grin spread across his face.

’This feeling. Finally, someone worthy has appeared.’
