Chapter 348: Dante Vs Sir Broken
Chapter 348: Dante Vs Sir Broken
Dante, the Hero Ranked existence from the eastern camp, locked gazes with Gabriel. The two held each other’s stare for several full minutes, with no one saying anything, each carefully observing and studying the other.
The fight was momentarily paused. The players and natives of their world exhaled in relief when they saw who was standing at the entrance of the camp.
Some of them even burst out in tears, while a few finally collapsed. They had been forcing themselves to fight, and now that Sir Broken was here, the little strength they had left vanished like smoke.
Among all of them, Sniperbowlegend was the happiest. Dante had been just about to come for him. With his extremely low mana points and weak close range combat ability, if that had happened, he would have been spawn killed, losing several levels instantly.
"You... you must be the one in charge of this camp, am I right?" Dante eventually spoke after minutes of tense silence.
His tone was calm and casual. It carried no remorse for whatever he had done. Gabriel’s eyes flashed briefly as he stretched out his hand. Crimson Judgement appeared instantly, the light of the blade gleaming under the sunlight.
Dante’s eyes flickered toward the greatsword, and a small smile appeared on his face. "You are not much of a talker, huh."
"You will be a nice addition to my Hero Rank kills," Gabriel stated calmly. Somehow, his voice carried clearly across the battlefield.
Dante’s eyes flashed with confusion at those words. What did he mean by that? Moreover, where was this confidence coming from?
"Hahahaha, I like you. Please do not break before I even start."
Gabriel did not wait for the human giant to finish his sentence. He immediately dashed forward, dragging the greatsword along the ground.
In the span of a few breaths, he was already upon Dante. Crimson Judgement glowed a bright red.
SWOOOSH!
He smashed violently toward the latter’s neck in an attempt to finish him off at once.
Dante harrumphed, clearly pissed by the action. It would be laughable for him, Dante, the second most powerful individual in the eastern camp, to die such a stupid death.
He dodged the strike by shifting a few steps back. Immediately, the ground began to rumble and move toward him.
He touched the ground, and earth crawled up his arm to his shoulder. It slowly extended outward, ending in a razor sharp tip capable of breaking through even metal.
The tip glinted. With a savage expression on his face, he thrust forward.
BOOM!
Gabriel struck at the same time. When Crimson Judgement met the earth arm, a slight tremor vibrated through Gabriel’s arm.
But it did nothing to stop him.
He immediately went in for another strike.
"Strong. Your Strength stat has far exceeded one hundred, which is very impressive considering you have not even stepped into Hero Rank yet."
Dante could barely contain the shock on his face when he realized this. It was the first time he had encountered someone like that.
However, he still did not think Gabriel was unbeatable.
Bang. Bang. Bang. BANG!
The two clashed at the center of the Broken Dawn camp. The sound of their collision was deafening, and those who were weaker had no choice but to cover their ears.
They moved at a frightening pace, both intent on killing the other as fast as possible.
In the span of a minute, onlookers could swear that more than a hundred attacks had been exchanged, yet the fight continued.
Moments later, Sophie arrived along with the rest of Broken Dawn. She was the first to exit the truck.
The first faces she saw were Scarlet, Alice, Lilly, and a middle aged man in a suit lying unconscious before them.
"What happened?" she asked, stepping forward.
"Gabriel said I should hand him over to you," Alice replied, kicking the butler and causing him to roll toward Sophie.
Sophie ignored the butler. Her attention was fixed entirely on the violent fight unfolding nearby.
She looked at Scarlet. "He is a Hero Rank. Do you know him?"
Scarlet did not reply immediately. She was so focused on the battle that it was as if she did not want to miss even a second.
"Yes," she replied eventually. "He is from the eastern camp that resides in the east. He used to be an underground fighter, then disappeared for a couple of years. After that, we heard he became one of those bandits."
Sophie remained silent for a moment, then asked in a relatively small voice, "How strong is he?"
Scarlet narrowed her eyes. This was something she genuinely did not know.
Hero Ranks were unpredictable. Being a Hero Rank did not mean they were all equal. Some barely crossed the threshold, while others could crush entire guilds alone.
It all depended on their foundation and how they distributed their stats.
Dante fought like an all rounder, though Scarlet could clearly see that his defense was considerably higher than the rest.
"Apart from his natural stats, he has treasures boosting him," Scarlet said vaguely, not daring to reveal that she somehow possessed the ability to see deeper than others.
Suddenly.
BOOOOM!
Another violent collision rocked the camp.
Gabriel slid backward several meters, his boots carving deep trenches into the earth. Dust exploded upward, briefly obscuring his figure.
Dante rolled his shoulder and cracked his neck.
"Not bad," he said, genuinely amused. "You are not collapsing like the rest."
The dust settled.
Gabriel straightened slowly, Crimson Judgement resting against the ground. His breathing was steady. Too steady.
"Talking again?" he asked. "I thought you wanted to fight."
Dante’s grin widened. "Hah. You really do not know fear, do you?"
He stomped the ground.
RUMBLE!
The earth beneath the camp surged violently. Jagged spikes erupted in every direction, forcing players and natives to scramble back in panic.
"EARTH DOMAIN!"
Someone screamed before being knocked off their feet.
The ground beneath Gabriel shifted violently, trying to swallow him whole.
"Bull Rush!"
FWOOOSH!
Gabriel moved out of the region effortlessly.
He reappeared directly above Dante, greatsword raised high.
Crimson Judgement glowed brighter than ever, its edge humming with violent pressure.
SLAAASH!
The blade crashed downward like a falling executioner’s strike.
Dante crossed his earth arm instinctively.
KRRRAAAACK!
The impact sent a shockwave ripping through the camp. The earth arm shattered halfway, fragments exploding outward like shrapnel.
Dante’s eyes widened.
He was driven knee first into the ground.
"!"
Gabriel did not stop.
He twisted mid air and dragged the blade sideways.
BANG!
Crimson Judgement smashed into Dante’s face.
The Hero Rank giant was sent flying, his massive body tearing through two wooden structures before crashing into a stone watchtower.
The entire camp went silent.
Sniperbowlegend’s mouth hung open.
Was that the same unstoppable monster who had just been sent flying like that?
The players inhaled sharply.
Alice swallowed, her eyes narrowing. "This jerk. It seems he has grown stronger once again."
"It is like he is constantly growing while being stuck at level fifty. How is that even possible?" Lilly frowned tightly.
Scarlet’s eyes flashed, but she did not comment.
Dante coughed, blood dripping from the corner of his mouth as he pushed himself up from the rubble.
His grin was gone.
In its place was excitement.
"So that is it," he muttered. "You are not just strong. You are abnormal. Perfect. I apologize for underestimating you. I will now treat you the same way I would treat the boss of the eastern camp."
Gabriel did not reply. He only tightened his grip on the blade.
"But before I begin, I want to ask you something," Dante said. "Where are Kairos and Bai Young?"
