Chapter 405 405: A Platinum Ranked Tresure (Fixed)

"Sir, there is a recent update on the battlefield," the officer reported cautiously.

"What update?" Henry spoke without looking at the man. Instead, his attention was focused below, on Gabriel, who was advancing forward with a greatsword that radiated a bright crimson glow.

Henry had been staring at the sword for quite a while now, and even from a distance he could tell it was troublesome. From where he stood, he could feel the oppressive aura it emitted, sending faint tremors through his senses.

"Sir, the Lin sisters..." the man gritted his teeth as he spoke, his voice thick with anger. "They have abandoned the eastern camp and sided with the enemies."

When those words were spoken, a brief silence followed. Henry felt as if he had heard wrong. He slowly peeled his gaze away from Broken Heaven and turned to face the low ranking officer he had ignored until now.

"What did you say?" he asked, his voice filled with disbelief. "Repeat what you said."

"The Lin sisters have betrayed the eastern camp and sided with the enemies."

IceQueen's heart sank the moment she heard this. The first thought that entered her mind was that Sir Broken had somehow convinced the two hero ranks to join his side.

With two hero ranks crossing over to the Broken Dawn side, the number of hero ranks left in the eastern camp was now just seven, including Dominic, who was currently deep inside the camp observing the fight.

Initially, there had been twelve hero ranks left in the western camp after Bai Young and Dante's deaths. However, after the death of the first hero rank in the block rope attack, another being fatally injured to the point of being unable to participate, the tank being killed by Gabriel, and the mage being slain by Scarlet, the total number of remaining hero ranks had dropped to just six.

'This bastard… he is always two steps ahead of me,' she cursed silently.

Realizing that he had just lost two powerful subordinates, Henry's expression turned red with anger.

"Those two bitches," Henry growled, his voice low and venomous. "They dare turn their backs on me."

His gaze snapped back toward the battlefield below, locking once more onto Gabriel, who continued to advance without hesitation. His crimson greatsword dragged lightly against the ground, sparks trailing behind it.

Henry's lips curled into a cold, furious smile. "So that is how you want to play this. Fine. If they think switching sides will save them, then I will personally make an example out of everyone."

He straightened his posture, his eyes burning with murderous intent. In a cold voice, he ordered, "I need all war tanks to move forward. Since he is immune to bullets, target his army instead."

"Yes sir," the closest officer replied immediately and began issuing orders.

...

"You are bleeding," Scarlet said after walking beside Gabriel for a while and observing him closely.

Without looking at her, he replied, "I am fine, but my insides are shaken from taking several hits. It will take a little more time for them to stabilize fully."

Scarlet remained silent for several seconds before speaking again. "Stand back. I will handle everything while you rest properly."

"That will not be necessary. I can still fight," he said. Without waiting for a reply, Gabriel dashed forward into the crowd of enemies, leaving Scarlet staring at his hands, more specifically at the greatsword.

'That sword… it is platinum rank. When did it become platinum rank?' the vice guild leader of the Adventurer Guild thought silently, the crimson glow flickering in her eyes.

She had spent quite some time with Gabriel and was aware of the sword's unique skill, one that caused explosive damage to enemies. How it was activated, she had no idea, but from the faint aura it once emitted, she had been certain it was a gold ranked treasure.

However now, she could clearly feel an even stronger aura pouring out of the sword.

"A platinum ranked sword?" Her eyes flashed sharply. Gold ranked treasures were already rare enough and made one the source of envy just by possessing one, and now a platinum ranked weapon.

Scarlet's breath hitched. These were weapons that even those who had stepped into the hero rank could not easily boast of. In fact, even her own sword was only gold rank, yet someone who had not even completed his first class advancement already wielded such a weapon.

While she stared at Gabriel intensely, as if trying to unravel all his mysteries, the latter continued clashing with the enemies ahead.

The greatsword in his hand radiated a bright crimson glow that dyed the ground beneath him red. Every swing was heavy, direct, and merciless. NPCs, players, Awakened, and ordinary soldiers alike lunged at him from all sides, some shouting, some screaming in panic, but none of it mattered.

The moment the sword came down, bodies were torn apart. Armor split like paper, shields shattered, and flesh was ripped open in brutal arcs. Some tried to activate their skills, but they barely had time to react before the blade passed through them.

One swing erased three soldiers at once. Another cleaved an Awakened clean in half. Blood sprayed across the ground, and limbs flew through the air as the crimson glow intensified with every kill.

This was not a battle. It was a one sided massacre.

Those behind him froze in horror as they watched their comrades vanish in seconds. Some tried to retreat, others fired wildly, but bullets bounced harmlessly off Gabriel's body or missed entirely as he continued forward like an unstoppable force.

Gabriel was not cutting randomly. He was moving with purpose, advancing toward the direction of the hero rank he had sensed earlier.

Not too far from him, Scarlet had joined the fight as well, effortlessly cutting down enemies. She moved elegantly, striking before they could raise their weapons or activate their skills.

In contrast to Gabriel, who was soaked from head to toe in a mixture of his enemies' blood and his own, Scarlet's armor remained pristine and without a single dent.

Naturally, Seraphina hovered around Gabriel the entire time. She licked her succulent red lips teasingly. Seeing so much blood strained the ancient vampire queen's self control as she resisted the urge to pounce on Gabriel and feed hungrily.

Suddenly, her gaze caught a strange movement. For the first time, a flash of worry appeared on her face as she called out, "Gabriel, you have to see this."
