Harem Stealer: Reborn with the God-Tier Sharing System

Chapter 480 - Bland as your wives

Chapter 480 - Bland as your wives

"I beg your pardon?"

Noah asked incredulously, instantly sitting straight at the outrageous words of Light.

"Please, my friend." The Soul Ruler sighed, looking at Noah with his one eye as if he was being unjustly bullied.

"It was embarrassing enough to say it one time. Now you want me to do it twice? Just ask for my death by embarrassment."

"Wait, are you serious?" Noah tilted his head, "Love loves my mother?" 'Damn, it feels weird to say this! He added inwardly.

"Yes." Light nodded curtly, shooting a scornful glare at the laughing Yuki and Elira, "and can you, good friend, tell your two wives to stop laughing? If they continue, I will send them outside my dominion."

"That's harsh." Yuki said between laughs, "I thought we were friends too. Right, Elira?"

"Hahah, yes!" Her sister supported.

Light spared them a dark glance, then completely ignored them, as if not worthy of his time.

"Love... isn't she the fourth Soul Ruler?" Noah questioned, still surprised by the unexpected revelation.

"The one and only."

"Okay, now let's get this straight. Love isn't she a she?"

"She is."

"And she loves my mother?"

"My friend Noah, you are being surprised by the wrong thing. A she

loving a she is as common as weeds nowadays. What you should worry about is how I am going to get my Love back."

Noah was not, in fact, surprised by that. It wasn't the first time he met people of the same gender loving each other. The thing that surprised him was the fact the subject this time was his mother.

Then again, why was he surprised?

Maryam was at a level of beauty even higher than any immortal being he had ever met until now.

"My friend," Light's voice interrupted Noah's spiraling thoughts. He raised his head and saw him floating an inch away from his face.

It was hard to guess the facial expression of Light, but Noah could strangely tell that Light was serious at that instant.

It wasn't anything new. Since the first moment they had met, Light neither laughed nor joked. Even when he said something funny, he said it with a neutral voice and face that actually showed he was not joking.

Noah always found it even more funny.

"Are you listening to me?" The Soul Ruler asked.

"I am."

"Good, I thought I lost you for a moment, my friend. Now, tell me, how can I get back my Love?" He asked once more, "we were living happily until your mother came. She is a home wrecker, my friend."

"She should thank you, or otherwise I would have done anything to take her down."

Noah smiled, "Well, I understand your frustration. But don't worry. Love will soon come back to you."

"How?"

"If Mother rejected her, wouldn't she come to you to seek refuge and comfort? It will be your time to shine and take back what you have

lost."

Light paused, tilted his head cutely. His face remained neutral, but Noah, Yuki, and Elira noticed his wings flapping more erratically and excitedly.

"You are very insightful, my friend." Light said, nodding pleasingly, then gave a sidelong glance at Yuki and Elira, "Not every time I can see. But no one is perfect. I will allow you some mistakes in judgment, my friend."

Yuki and Elira immediately flared red, voices raising.

"What are you implying?" Elira said, eyes glowing, "Yuki, how about

we test our Gift and Aspect on a Ruler?"

"You stole the words from my mouth." Yuki grated, taking out her

Sword of Severance.

Light That Was Once didn't even look at them. Instead, his eye was fixed on Noah in a way that said, I told you, didn't I?

It angered the women even more.

Noah suppressed a laugh.

It was rare to see Elira out of her pocket. Still,

"You said I am not perfect," Noah said, instantly gathering the attention of others, "true, but I believe I am not that far away from it,

don't I?"

Yuki and Elira immediately fell silent. This topic was sensitive for

Noah.

For a man who practically obtained anything he wanted with

moderate struggle since he was reborn the first time, Noah only viewed Perfection as the only goal that would make him evolve and

reach a higher state.

That goal had given him a path to walk and something to look forward to. Still, like any man, Noah sometimes wished to know how close he

was to reaching his goal.

So he asked Light, expecting an honest answer. For no matter how his wives could be honest, their opinion of him would always be biased

because of their love.

"Perfection?" Light finally answered, looking at Noah as if he was a fool, "why do you wish for perfection, my friend?"

"Why wouldn't I?" Noah was confused by the weird question.

"Perfection is uninteresting." Light shook his head in disappointment, "Being perfect means to stop."

Noah parted his lips to speak, but Light didn't let him. He continued

sharply,

"It means to stop walking forward, to stop loving, to stop finding things beautiful because they are imperfect, to stop getting angry at stupid things and laughing for no reason, to stop enjoying the simple sight of a mortal struggling to work hard for his family."

He paused, glaring deep into Noah's mismatched eyes, "Perfection means losing me as a friend, Noah. For I don't know about

your two annoying wives..."

Yuki and Elira's eyes twitched.

"...but I know for a fact that I cannot connect with perfection. So you

will lose me."

Noah listened intensely to the Soul Ruler's words, trying to absorb

them.

He might have the advantage and even managed to bring him to his

side, but Light That Was Once had lived far more than him and had a unique view of existence.

His background was even more special, making him someone even Noah was interested in.

That was the reason he came to him. And the reason he made him a

friend.

Noah had scarcely any friends.

And those he had had been so far away in terms of power and path

from him that Noah barely experienced the beauty of friendship.

Now he began to understand.

"One day or another," Noah finally replied, "we are all going to stop.

Life is made of endings. And one day, everything of us..."

He said by waving his right hand, encompassing them, "...will be nothing but a finished story people from later generations

might or might not learn."

"So if that's the case, what is the problem of finishing something with

perfection?" Noah continued, voice strong, "We cannot escape the end of things. After all, something that doesn't end loses its meaning. But we can make it a perfect ending."

Yuki and Elira stared at Noah with emotions. They could feel deep

within them that he meant his words.

"This is mainly why I search perfection." Noah concluded.

Light nodded, "True. However, my friend, here is the thing."

Light approached even further Noah, putting his own fluffy forehead

on Noah's own, boring his one eye deep into him,

"A perfect ending is as bland as your two wives here."

"FUCK! I AM GOING TO KILL THIS GODDAMNED-!"

Elira plastered her hand over Yuki's mouth, stopping her from saying

more profanity.

With how long she had been with Apollonia, Elira knew Yuki had been corrupted by that wannabe Celestial.

Those two mouths could kill someone by either anger or

embarrassment.

Still, Elira's face was filled with angry veins, glaring at the Soul Ruler.

Again, Light continued smoothly, not caring about them, "Imperfections make things lovable and interesting." He said, "Tell me, will you enjoy more watching the universe killing each other with

politics and trauma and lust and hatred all mixed together than a universe where everyone acts...perfectly?"

Strangely, the very thought of such a universe made Noah shiver in

horror. What a boring thing, then. He doubted anyone would seek

higher realms in that case.

Still,

"Then what?" Noah asked, frowning slowly, "If not perfection, then

what?"

He was confused.

Perfection had been his goal for a while now, and now inside a place and in front of a person he never imagined...his whole view about perfection seemed to take a wild turn.

"You are looking too far." Light shrugged, "Just experience all these

lives as they come to you. Enjoy, be sad, cry, laugh, hate and even kill

anyone and anything. Just live your story." "What about the ending?"

"Will you spoil yourself your own ending? It doesn't sound fun, my

friend."

"Because you think I write my own ending?"

"If not you, then who?"

Noah fell silent for a moment, then sighed, rolling his eyes at Light,

"You just confused me only to say some damn bullshit!"

"Hey, it's not my fault if you can't understand my words, my friend!" Light retorted, defending himself, "Try to think at least, I am giving you life advice!"

"Just shut up and tell me about the Principality."

Noah's face became serious.

"What do you want to know about Him?"

"How did he die?"

"Of course, he was killed. That idiot was the biggest idiot I knew.!"

Noah cocked his head, "Who?"

"Who?" Light smiled strangely. He paused, looking around at the women staring at him with both curiosity and anger.

"You don't know him." Light said, "But he is very well known around

here."

"Say the name."

"The Merchant."
