Her mind was clouded with incomprehensible thoughts and her emotions were all over the place.

For one reason or another, whenever this call between her and her father happens, she ends up feeling so uncomfortable that she could barely keep her face straight.

She just didn’t understand this man at all and what she picked up from him made her completely afraid of him to an insane degree.

Even with her power and influence, there was always this man, looming over her mind constantly, playing with her thoughts and actions with ease and turning her wherever he wanted.

What was even weirder was that she couldn’t even resist.

She tried to detach herself from him many times and yet she failed every time.

It was as if she was under some kind of hypnotic power that robbed her of her freedom.

She was chained to that man, working as he pleased and doing what he wanted.

‘What am I supposed to do?’ She thought to herself with a long sigh.

The words she heard from Eva Lavine rushed back to her head.

“Naive… Huh?” She murmured as a mocking laugh escaped her lips.

“I hate that I understand what she means.

I might be too naive for this world.” The truth is, Ethia really didn’t know much about the real world herself.

All she knew were the things her father showed her and told her about.

She was talented and strong, but she lacked any common sense.

As she was like that, her phone started ringing which pulled her out of her own world back to reality.

Pulling it out, she answered the call.

“What?” Immediately, a voice responded to her in a hurry.

Ethia’s expression slowly changed as she listened to the caller.

After that, she quickly sprung into her legs.

“Where?” She asked.

“I will be there in a moment.” After that, she hung up the call and then turned around to leave the room.

Walking toward the door, she turned around to take one last look at the place.

Her eyes flickered with incomprehensible emotions before she opened the door and left the place.

*** Meanwhile, back in the apartment, Kai, Eva, Kaya and Aria were discussing the matter.

They went through all the possible things that could happen from now on and how they should deal with them when they happen.

The discussion didn’t take that long since they all knew the inevitable had happened and what remained was just pure chaos.

However, their goal still remained clear, to find Mikayla if he’s still alive and to put an end to Divinity while it’s in this weak state.

“How are we going to find him, Kai?” Kaya asked with a worried look.

Her hope still remained alive, however, she was still facing uncertainty.

“I have an idea but it will require me to move alone for now.” Kai said.

“Alone?

What are you going to do?” Aria asked.

“I’m going to follow Ethia and spy on her.

More likely than ever, she will lead me to Mikayla if he’s still alive or will at least mention him.

“Hold on a second, Kai.

Follow that woman?” “We have no other choice and we don’t have time either.

If Mikayla is still alive then he needs help and if he doesn’t then we need to know for certain.

She won’t be able to trace my presence so don’t worry.

I will just use her to reach Mikayla.” Kai replied as he stood up.

The girls looked at each other confusedly.

None of them could argue back since that was truly their only way of knowing where Mikayla is.

“Kai…” Kaya called for him before he entered his room to change.

“What?” “Thank you… I will never be able to repay you for this.” She said with an expression that can’t be described.

No one could understand how much she appreciates what Kai was doing all for her sake.

The latter noticed that before he turned around and said.

“You already did…” After that, he walked inside his room, changed his clothes to his working attire before he opened the window and left the apartment at top speed.

His senses scanned the city searching for Ethia.

“There she is.” It didn’t take him long to locate where she was, which seemed to be surprisingly near the main airport of the city.

‘Already?’ Kai knew that this wasn’t a coincidence as Ethia was in no position to move too much.

So, the reason she was heading toward the airport was for a very good reason and that reason was pretty obvious.

So, Kai quickly hurried his steps as he jumped from one building to another like a rabbit, crossing hundreds of meters in seconds.

By the time he reached the airport, Ethia had already entered inside and reached the other part where her jet was waiting for her.

So, Kai quickly moved swiftly, crossing the whole distance till he reached an open area for flight.

“Target located.” He murmured as he squinted his eyes and looked at the woman walking in a hurry toward the jet.

He waited for her to reach it and enter inside before the doors closed.

When that happened, Kai quickly moved toward the jet as he hid his presence.

The aircraft’s engine started and its wheels started moving.

Slowly, it accelerated on the path.

Meanwhile, Kai ran under it before he quickly latched on to one of the wheels.

Slowly, the jet started rising and the wheels automatically started ascending inside the main body.

When that happened, Kai found himself inside the body of the jet in a very tight space.

It was barely enough to fit his body.

Twisting his bones, he was able to adjust his position.

Looking around him, Kai searched for Ethia’s aura.

When he located her, he quickly focused his senses on her.

Inside the jet, Ethia sat down with a very hard frown on her face.

Her mind was too occupied to notice the anomaly that got on her jet.

Soon, the airport was completely invisible and the jet was in the middle of the air, flying toward an unknown destination that Kai didn’t know of.

So, with that in mind, he pulled out his phone and sent a message to the girls so that they knew he was going to leave the city and potentially the whole country.

“Now, let’s see where she’s going to go.” *** At the same time, far away in some unknown place.

The weather was rainy and the clouds covered the sky, filling the world with an endless gloominess.

The streets were empty except for some people who covered their face and hurried to avoid the rain.

In this place, a particular man was walking through the dark alleyways in a hurry as if he was running from something.

His face was covered with the raincoat he was wearing.

Each step he took splashed water on his soaked body.

However, he didn’t really care as he walked and walked while still looking behind from time to time as if he was checking for something.

“Where are you going, friend?” Suddenly, he heard a sound coming from ahead of him.
