Queen Alicia’s Darkness
“Seriously, that boy……….”
Gazing at the door out of which Fredrik had left, Queen Alicia sighed.
Robin was of course one thing, but this one was also a worrying one huh.
“In any case, with Brother Fredrik having taken his leave, let us wrap things up for today, shall we?”
“I suppose so……..ah but, I forgot to tell you one important thing.”
“What would that be?”
Well now? I thought this was just a meeting to officialise the alliance but, is there more?
“Yes, well, I know we are to gain the support of Lord Fahlcrantz and yourself but, the exact specifics of what you want from us in return are still not fully explained. Of course, we’ll abide by our promise for when Fredrik becomes the emperor but, even until that point, we are still on the same side now so you can ask for any help you may need.”
Saying that, Queen Alicia showed a wry smile.
It would seem, she intends to support us even during the period before Fredrik becomes the Emperor.
“I am still the first queen after all. I’m quite powerful in my own ways you know?”

Seeing Queen Alicia speak in jest, I could only smile wryly.

I gave certain suggestions in regards to our current situation.

The moment I said that, a part of Rudolf’s heart, the one from before I regained these past life’s memories, felt a sharp twinge of pain.
As if trying to refuse my decision to separate from Beatrice.

Queen Alicia stared at me directly.
I could see tears welling up in her eyes.
“That woman barged into this imperial palace, and sullied it. This very palace that I have loved, and protected for so long, long enough that I could call this palace my own child as well.”

“………..that’s why, in regards to your request to sever your ties with her, you can well and truly look forward to that. That woman, Beatrice, I will utterly destroy her, in a way that will surpass even your wildest expectations.”
Saying that, Queen Alicia showed a dim, dark smile.
I had no idea what all had happened between Queen Alicia and Beatrice.
But……..in that moment, I ended up feeling a bit of pity for this person in front of me.

And this time finally, both me and Lizbeth left the salon.
