I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess

Chapter 502: The Otherside? [4]

Chapter 502: The Otherside? [4]

Jon, Emilio, the Jungle Lord, and the Abomination rushed the Drowned King from all cardinal directions with bloodthirsty looks in their eyes.

The Drowned King moved to react, but found himself slower compared to before and also much more difficult, as if his muscles were struggling to make sense of what to do.

Was it because he was struck by that hammer?

BAM!

Jon landed a hard right hook on the side of the Drowned King’s head.

This attack was only the first of a few that would occur after he was struck by that hammer.

Jon lashed his fists out in barrages. Emilio slashed his sword in revenge. The Jungle Lord dealt crushing blows. And the Abomination stabbed with its legs.

Whenever either Jon or Emilio were struck with an attack, the others would cover for them to heal with the potions given to them by Lillian.

With this tactic, the Drowned King became slightly overwhelmed.

How could he, someone who ruled over the Southern sea of the world, become overwhelmed like this?

And worst of all... It was being done by humans, no less! Unforgivable! Unforgivable!

Once the effects from the hammer’s attack wore off, the Drowned King made his move, this time with more deadliness.

Gripping his harpoon in a slashing stance, he hissed:

"[3rd Technique of the Abyssal Harpoon: Rend of the Drowned Fin]."

Emilio, who was standing beside his monster and the Jungle Lord, watched as the Drowned King slashed through the air with his harpoon.

A curved trail followed the harpoon as a black fin cleaved through the air, shooting towards them.

Emilio, in fright, quickly wrapped himself in his feathery cloak and disappeared into the darkness, leaving his monster behind to take the attack alone.

And because of that—

{A Shard has been Shattered}

—He lost his monster.

He later appeared beside the nail and also the red energy hammer.

The Jungle Lord, seeing the death of one of them, moved in with a roar. He held his battle axe over his head and swung it down on the Drowned King, who sidestepped to the side with sheer coldness for the Wendigo.

Then, in a near instant, the Drowned King pierced through the Jungle Lord’s battle axe and destroyed it. With no time in between for rest, he delivered quick and rapid stabs into the Wendigo’s chest and tore through it.

Grass and blood flowed out of the hideous wounds of the Jungle Lord as he clutched the area around his heart, which was later destroyed by another stab.

The light in the Jungle Lord’s eyes flickered between white, green, and nothing. With his heart destroyed, he began his transformation, but before that could happen, the Drowned King shot his fist out—

"[1st Technique of the Abyssal Harpoon: Tidefist of the First Harrow]."

BAM!

With a devastating blow, the Jungle Lord was shot back to where Viesta currently was, who was treating her wounds before needing to get out of the way.

THUD!

Jon rushed towards the Drowned King.

Having watched both his young master’s monster get destroyed and the Jungle Lord taken out of commission for a bit, he was going to need to be extra careful.

[Greater Reflex] was the Trait he received from his second Trial. As long as he stayed careful, he would be fine.

The Drowned King, rolling his shoulders, raised his harpoon once more and stabbed towards Jon, who spun out of the way.

The Bodyguard would then let loose a flurry of punches on the Drowned King. But he wasn’t alone, for Emilio soon arrived.

In Emilio’s hand was the red energy battle hammer that Viesta had used prior to stagger the Drowned King.

With a wide swing, he slammed it into the Drowned King, forgetting to insert the nail into the man’s body.

THUMP!

But that didn’t seem to matter as the battle hammer seemed to still have the same effect.

The Drowned King’s body twisted inwards as space warped around the area he was hit. And without time to recover, Jon followed up with another hook to his face.

BAM! THUMP! BAM! THUMP!

Both Jon and Emilio attacked as one, unleashing blow after blow that would leave the Drowned King staggered.

The Mighty Sea King, who had not thought much of these humans and even held back, found himself in a predicament. With his body constantly being in a state of stagger, his shell of a body was finding it hard to operate.

If this continued, he... Might lose...

...

[12:20 AM]

That would be what humans would think.

Emilio, who was about to deliver another strike of his hammer, was smacked with enough strength that he flew back and crashed into a pillar.

As he let out a groan of pain, Jon yelled out instinctively:

"Young master!"

FWIP!

Jon stepped to the side as he narrowly dodged a stab aimed at his head. He then began to unleash another barrage of punches.

He couldn’t let up now because he would now be at risk of dying, which was always part of the job as a bodyguard.

BAM! BAM!

Even if he might die here and not be paid for his services, that didn’t mean he shouldn’t uphold his end of the contract—to protect his client!

He took on this job to support his family, his wife and his children. He needed to keep on fighting, so he could return and embrace them once again!

"HRAHHH!" With a bellowing roar, he slammed his knuckleduster into the face of the Drowned King, hoping to take him down. But as fate would have it, it wouldn’t be that easy...

The Drowned King raised his free hand and gripped Jon’s forearm with a crushing grip that caused the Bodyguard to wince.

And then...

What happened next could only be considered brutal as the Drowned King lifted the Bodyguard and—

THUD! THUD! THUD!

—Began to slam him repeatedly into the ground like a ragdoll.

With a limp and bleeding body, Jon couldn’t do anything but try to endure. But with how the Drowned King was slamming him into the ground, he felt the bones in his body begin to groan and scream in pain until—

CRACK!

"NGH...!"

—His bones snapped.

Emilio, who had finally put his mind back together from what might have given him a concussion, felt his blood pour down the back of his neck. He trembled at the sensation before looking towards Jon and yelling with a look of despair:

"JON!"

Immediately getting up, Emilio picked up the hammer and rushed towards his Bodyguard in hopes of staggering the Drowned King again.

But then...

Without any warning...

"Face true despair, humans..."

He threw Jon into the air and simultaneously pointed his harpoon upwards. And in one swift and fluid motion, he stabbed upwards—

SWIP!

—Skewering Jon right through the heart, a wound that would not be able to be healed with the use of potions.

"JOOON!"
