I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess

Chapter 550: The Frailer the Appearance, the Stronger the Revelation?

Chapter 550: The Frailer the Appearance, the Stronger the Revelation?

Stepping onto the air, he magically vanished - teleporting into the underground market below that was unfortunately unaffected by the array.

With his arms wrapped behind his back, he slipped through the patrol guards of the ruins, his movements so quiet and skilled that he would be mistaken for an assassin or ninja.

Despite being able to see, he would always be able to sense a patrolling guard ahead of time, always shifting his direction of movement in microseconds.

He would then find himself standing in front of a deep hole that led to the underground warehouse, at a time when there were no guards surrounding it.

Dropping himself down into the underground warehouse, which felt more like a sauna, he landed softly with injury, as if he didn’t fall hundreds of feet down and merely stepped off a step on a stair.

After walking and wandering around a bit, he finally stumbled upon a group of masked men; they wore grey and jagged cultish masks.

And they seemed to be...

"Have you all looted everything yet?"

Looting the items that would’ve been given away.

Well, whatever items remained after Lillian and Kuro’s battle with the Obsidian Warden.

One of them clicked their tongue in frustration and mockery, "One would think the containers they placed them into would be durable enough to protect whatever is inside. But I guess not."

Another laughed, "Kek! I know, right? It’s like 80% of the things here have already been destroyed or taken before we got here!"

Another man turned back to look at Takuro, whose form began to wobble and change into something else.

The man ignored this and instead addressed the true identity of the old man, "Ryozan Eryndor, without you, we wouldn’t have been able to intrude into this underground vault."

What was previously a frail and short elderly man was now a tall man who appeared to be in his twenties.

He was a lean man with a thick black fur coat draped over his shoulders; his muscles were like they were modelled after a chiselled statue of a demigod - the outline of his muscles seemingly screamed "POWER".

He had a sharp and chiselled jawline that complemented his incredibly handsome face, which would leave even the most faithful of nuns to rethink their faith and oath.

And wrapped around his eyes... Were blindfolds, which seemed to act more as a fashion accessory due to how accurately he could "see" with them.

Ryozan Eryndor, that was his name. And the man who proudly held the title of Strongest, the Strongest Mercenary.

He shrugged at what he heard with a nonchalant smile, "I’m sure you guys would’ve."

But then, his face shifted to a grim expression, "But to use such an underhanded method like a modified gate for a purpose like this..."

The face he was putting on then cracked as he cackled loudly, while pointing condescendingly at them, "You lot are sickening. Cowards. Weaklings. And undeserving of my help."

One of the cult members sneered, "Too bad. You signed the contract with our messiah, non-believer. So, do your job or feel the backlash."

Afterwards, they went on to loot more containers before leaving. But before they could do so...

Appearing from behind every corner, stone soldiers began to appear, seemingly multiplying by the second as over several dozen surrounded them.

These were the Gravelborns that still remained from the outbreak, having escaped the guards in the market and travelled through the ground.

Their strength had risen after their prolonged time underground.

"Ah, shit...!" A cult member muttered, quickly drawing his blade - the others doing the same except for Ryozan, who remained with his hands behind his back.

The Gravelborns scrutinised their group before walking forward. Clearly, this wasn’t part of the group’s plan - they hadn’t thought of the possibility of this scenario!

Besides Ryozan, they were all Tier 1s, one of them a Tier 2. They were the lowest-ranked members of the cult; thus, they were dispensable.

"Shit, Ryozan, do something about them! Or else the contract—"

"Them? Who’s them?" Ryozan inquired, smiling playfully.

The man - quickly angered - pointed towards the Gravelborns.

"THEM—!"

But once he pointed at the Gravelborns... He found nothing. His finger was pointing at thin air.

He was left in shock. He had sworn that he saw the stone soldiers surrounding them mere seconds ago. Even his companions thought the same!

They then slowly turned their heads towards Ryozan’s back; the man hadn’t even moved an inch since they stopped. He was the cause of the Gravelborns’ strange disappearance!

Ryozan, feeling a group of horrified and admiring stares on his back, tilted his head and looked back creepily.

He then said:

"What’s with the hold up~? You all looked as though you’ve seen a ghost. Let’s not dawdle like children and get going now, after all, as you said... I wouldn’t like to be hit with the backlash of my own contract with your messiah now, do I?

"Now then... Let’s prepare for the Legacy Table, in a few days time."

***

While that was happening...

"Look! I didn’t steal them, alright!" Lillian exclaimed, holding a handful of spatial rings, "These rings just holds the items that were seen in the auction!"

While and after the battle with the Obsidian Warden, Lillian had been looting the underground warehouse of items. She would be a fool to let them be destroyed!

"And yet, they’re in your hands, having not been paid for." The Gardener narrowed his eyes with crossed arms; his eyes reflecting the look that made it seem Lillian committed the worst sin on Earth.

Lillian’s face twitched rapidly in irritation. Was this guy serious?

At this moment in time, the two of them were in a limousine. The reason why? Well...

...

"Get in the car."

"Eh?"

Lillian paused, frozen in place as she stared at the Gardener pointing towards the inside of a black limousine that had appeared out of nowhere.

Why on Earth was he telling her to get in? Was this a kidnapping?!

"Do I... have to?"

"Am I telling you to get in?"

"Yes...?"

"Then that’s your answer, now... Get. In." The Gardener pressured her, leading Lillian’s lips to break out into a wry and unnerved smile as she slowly climbed in.

This was definitely a kidnapping...
