I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess

Chapter 615: Luck Brings Wealth?

Chapter 615: Luck Brings Wealth?

After getting her chips, which were a mixture of ten yellow chips and ten purple ones, Lillian swiftly made her way to the closest card table and joined an already proceeding game.

The plan was simple.

To find the man supplying the syringes to the public, Lillian first needed to win a lot of times in the casino, to the point that she would be kicked out for suspicion.

Afterwards, if her luck was good, she would be approached by the man, who hoped to convince her to follow him into his cove for an exchange. Just like gambling, this sort of event could only happen through good luck.

And luckily, Lillian knew no one luckier than herself and possibly Millis.

But unfortunately, for that luck to shine through, she needed to deal with this first hurdle.

"Excuse me. But it is against the rules for you to wear a mask at the table." The card dealer stated, staring at Lillian as he shuffled a deck.

Lillian sighed and didn’t fight back.

"Very well."

In the past, when Lillian was at her lowest, she had engaged in several acts of gambling, particularly through poker, as that was her favourite go-to.

Slot machines and other gambling options that relied too much on luck were out of the question for her, since she quite enjoyed playing the person instead.

Due to her usual intoxicated state, Lillian would always be underestimated by the other players, making them believe she had a bad hand. Fortunately, that wasn’t always the case.

’But after I got a job and started playing World of Millis, I stopped all of that.’

Besides drinking and a little bit of smoking, she had abandoned most of her bad habits and addictions - gambling being one of the hardest addictions to give up; the thrill was just too exhilarating for her back then.

’Anyway, since cards are off the tables, I guess slot machines or roulette tables will have to work.’

Lillian chose to go to the roulette table.

Since the roulette was all about luck rather than skill and "playing the man", it was a lot more lenient about masks and other identity-obscuring ways.

In a game of roulette, the rules were simple.

You were given a roulette table that had either 37 or 38 pockets for the roulette ball to land in. The more pockets there were, the worse the chances a person had of winning; fortunately, there were only 37.

You would then be given the option of either: placing a bet on a single number, a group of numbers, the colour red or black, or whether the landed number was even or odd; the lower the chances of you winning, the more you win back.

And in this case, Lillian would be betting on a single number.

Sliding a purple chip over the number 18, Lillian took a step back. As a precaution, she would only bet the lowest-valued chip she had on her.

Five-hundred Semis.

’Let’s see if my luck is actually any good...’

After seeing that Lillian and the other people around the roulette table had placed their bets, the croupier smirked as he gripped the rim of the wheel.

With a strong pull, he spun the roulette wheel clockwise, causing a soft and mechanical clicking noise to resound.

Click. Click. Click.

Afterwards, the croupier gently laid the ball on its track - the rim of the wheel - and rolled it counter-clockwise.

The ball would then begin to pick up speed as it circled around the rim of the wheel, rolling down the rim’s sloped design before dropping down and hitting a small metal deflector.

Then, it began to bounce around the numerous pockets inside the wheel - drawing the surrounding people’s attention.

"P-please go in 8!"

"No, no! Go in number 24!"

"I need the money, please go in 32!"

The ball held them in high anticipation as it bounced within the wheel randomly, giving them no chance to predict its next movement.

Eventually...

"Number 18 is the winner!"

It fell into the pocket numbered 18; Lillian’s number.

"ARGH!"

Some let out a sharp groan and gasp, cursing themselves for not picking that number, while some cried out in joy.

Lillian smiled inside, feeling a rush of excitement as she watched the dealer pass over her earnings. From this single bet, she had 17,500 Semis and totalled with her original bet - she got back a whopping 18,000 Semis.

That was 36 times how much she bet!

’Unfortunately, this casino only gives you 35 times what you won.’

If the casino were fair, she would’ve won 36 times the amount she bet. Unfortunately, the casino needed to win a portion of her fortune.

Afterwards, Lillian went on to win several more games at roulette, occasionally switching numbers so they wouldn’t suspect anything.

She needed to be kicked out for winning too much, not being suspected of cheating.

’Although, that is a reason to get me kicked out, even if it is a false suspicion.’

Later on, she switched to slot machines, which only required the slotting of casino chips instead of physical currency.

Every now and then, she would come upon Millis, who was rather skilled in card games, having won most of her earnings from them.

Unfortunately, she couldn’t say the same for anything outside of card games.

"ARGH! NOT AGAIN!" Millis shouted, raising her arms angrily as she stared at the screen of a slot machine - glaring at the mismatched combination she was given.

Lillian chuckled behind Millis, finding amusement in the Heroine’s exaggerated reactions.

Occasionally, she did have to lend Millis some of her earnings to continue playing, but that wasn’t such a big deal.

’If I total up everything I won, I have gained over 900,000 Semis.’

Lillian was quickly nearing the one million mark.

And eventually, she reached it - even, going beyond that.

"JACKPOT! JACKPOT! JACKPOT!"

Lillian curved her lips into a wide grin beneath her mask, watching as the screen of the slot machine flashed with colourful lights.

"Hehehe..."
