I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess

Chapter 658: What Is the Point of Logic Without Humanity?

Chapter 658: What Is the Point of Logic Without Humanity?

Reph’s attack, [Greater Brilliance], was one of his few spells that he could only achieve under specific conditions: how much mana he had left and the value of things he had with him. Without either of the two, an attack as he had just performed would’ve been impossible, no matter how much he forced it.

After Reph was swallowed by his reflected attack, the light beam continued onward, vaporising everything it came into contact with. And when it finally dissipated, it had already carved a hole through the entire Darkhound mansion.

What the attack had left behind was a chaotic mess of molten rubble and hot air. If an ordinary person were to stand in this mess, they would find themselves unable to last more than a few seconds before needing to retreat to somewhere cooler.

Fortunately.

C-crack.

Mages weren’t ordinary people.

KSHH!

From where Reph used to stand, the ground trembled. Then, like a mouth, the ground opened, allowing two individuals to climb out of the hole and step onto the barren, hot surface.

“We were underground?” Reph groaned as he climbed out.

Millis’s eye twitched. “Wha—! No way ya complaining, I just saved ya ass!”

Pushing himself up to his feet, Reph sighed, “I wasn’t complaining… I’m just surprised you managed to bring me underground. Being able to react to my attacks isn’t that simple of an achievement.”

“Bah!”

After Millis and Reph got back to the surface, they looked around, inspecting the damage the surroundings suffered and also the structural integrity of the Darkhound mansion; something Reph had completely forgotten about in his fit of rage.

Seeing the concerned look on Reph’s face, Millis waved her hand in comforting dismissal. “Don’t worry too much about dah’ whole mess. Before I came here, I already went ahead and got all duh’ pillars and walls reinforced.”

“Is that so?”

As Reph continued to survey the surroundings, he couldn’t help but notice a very intense stare towards his stomach. Looking towards Millis, he asked:

“Something wrong?”

“Nah, just checking out them abs of yours.” Millis gave a thumbs up, “Very hot, my guy. I might even get a nose bleed—”

“Is this really the time?” Reph rubbed the gap between his brows.

Not a moment later, the ground beneath them trembled intensely, as if their immediate area had been hit with an earthquake. Then, far away from them, a colossal golem made of stone erupted from the ground.

The colossal golem was over two hundred metres tall and had a bulky build. Its arms were thick, spanning dozens of metres wide, and were three-quarters the length of the colossal’s height—its fingers reaching just above its knees. And its tall and lanky body was surrounded by rings of disastrous winds moving at high speeds.

After taking one glance at Reph and Millis, the colossal stone golem turned away and began making its way towards the east—the residential area, where numerous people had begun to flee; the people who were too reluctant to leave after what happened yesterday.

Reph’s eyes shook as he watched the colossal slowly march towards the fleeing mass. The strength in his fists quickly dissipated as his determination to kill Albrecht vanished.

There was nothing they could do. Those people were going to die.

‘But what does that have to do with me?’

The people living here weren’t any of his people. None of them was Restarian. And since there was no way Reph was going to be able to kill Albrecht, there was also no other reason to keep on fighting.

He needed to preserve his life and those he cared about first.

“Millis, let’s go find the others, we gotta get out of he—”

“WAHH! NO THAT’S WHAT I CALL A BIG BOY!”

Manifesting a pair of wings, Millis flew into the air. Then, while hovering, she looked down at Reph inquisitively. “What ya doing? Aren’t ya going to chase after it?”

Reph sighed.

“I’m completely tapped out.” Then, his eyes blinked in realisation. Giving the woman a tired and incredulous look, he asked, “Are you serious? Don’t you see what we’re up against?! There’s no way we can—”

“Whaaa~? Ya chickening out now?”

“C-chickening? This is not a matter of bravery, but being logical! Right now, that thing is distracted by the hundreds of people over there. This is our chance to get everyone we know to safety—”

“Chicken~”

“I’m not—”

“Chicken!”

“I’m—”

“Chicken~! Chicken—”

“TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY!” Reph shouted, growing frustrated over Millis’s obvious provocation. “Are you seriously thinking of risking your life for people who have absolutely no relation to you?! Especially those people who willingly live in the Underworld. You’ll die, Millis—w-whoa!”

Stumbling back, Reph caught an armful of mana potions; confusion flashed in his eyes as he looked up.

Millis snorted.

“I’ve heard that people of royal descent were meant to be role models. Ya acting like a wuss right now, dude. If we don’t take care of it here, it’ll come to bite us in the ass in the future.” Millis turned around, “And what’s the point of being logical if it goes against your humanity? I’m a bit dumb, so we may not see eye-to-eye, but I’d rather die knowing I was trying to do something good, than turn a blind-eye to people who can be saved. If ya don’t wanna help, run south from here. Everyone is over there.”

Before Reph could give an answer, Millis had already flown away.

The prince scowled, then looked down at the glass bottles in his arms before downing every single one of them. After gaining back a sufficient amount of mana, he ran south.

Standing over the fleeing populace, the colossal stone golem swung its hand down—

BOOM!

—Instantly destroying a group of homes before scooping them into the air.

Dust and debris cascaded through the gaps in its fingers, like a waterfall becoming segregated into several streams. And when all the dust finished leaking through its fingers, what lay underneath were countless crushed bodies that the colossal golem soon poured down its stone throat.

After it did that, the stone that made up the colossal titan became denser.

BOOM!

The colossal titan continued to terrorise the masses, wreaking havoc, trampling on buildings, and scooping up the crushed remains of people to devour them. Each action it made caused a symphony of cries and screams to resound, loud enough that even Albrecht, who was acting as the heart of the colossal golem, could hear them.

Albrecht licked his lips and spoke in a dark, sinister voice.

“Damien Von Darkhound…”
