Chapter 27 - Mech Engineer
Chapter 27 - Mech Engineer
Since it was Chongming who had a problem, Brian led them to the workshop on the fourth floor.
There was a long corridor on the fourth floor. On both sides of the corridor were neat silver-white metal doors. Each door was locked, protecting the precious mech parts stored inside.
Brian walked all the way to the end of the corridor, verified his identity, and opened the metal door in front.
It opened to a wide space similar in size to two football fields, full of messy instruments. Having been to the smart spaceship factory before, Mo Han was able to recognize many of the common instruments here. Brian started a black maintenance mech, then turned back to Luo Fei and said, “Activate Chongming, I will check carefully.”
Luo Fei immediately awakened Chongming from the mech space.
A moment later, a huge mech appeared in front of their eyes. This mech is indeed shaped like a Chongming bird in myth and legend. Measuring more than 20 meters tall with winds more than 50 meters wide, its whole body is painted with silver. The shiny metallic luster shone brightly under the light, and with its graceful and smooth body lines, resembles a giant bird with its wings outstretched.
The mecha activated, its eyes shooting out a dazzling light, and pure white instantly illuminated the area in front of it.
Mo Han’s eyes lit up. It’s his first time seeing the main body of Chongming. it truly is an S-class smart mech, its shape alone is majestic.
Brian sat on the inspection mech, and raised the instrument to the cockpit, and connected to its intelligent system to start the inspection.
He quickly found out the reason, feeling a little puzzle – Chongming’s system didn’t show signs of external damage, but instead seemed to be internally blocked. The reason for this is that the mech judges that outsiders have invaded the system to steal its data and memory, and will self-enclose to seal its memory banks off.
As the First Prince’s mech, after pairing with the prince, Chongming’s system will retain all memories of its master, including thoughts in the spiritual world.
When designing it, Brian added the self-enclosure as a backup just in case. In an extremely dangerous situation, if it has no way to deal with the enemy, it’s better to go dormant and completely seal up all the data in the system, rather than allow people to steal secrets about the First Prince and the royal family.
Brian looked back at Luo Fei, and the embarrassment that flashed in the First Prince’s eyes told him the answer.
It is clear that the First Prince has not encountered any danger recently, so Chongming doing this is obviously Luo Fei’s instruction.
Brian frowned lightly, and said, “Luo Fei, you should come up too. Chongming’s problem is quite special. I need you to use your mental power to force the system to activate, so I can check.”
Before figuring out why Luo Fei did this, Brian would naturally not expose him. It’s better to save some face for the First Prince.
Luo Fei smiled gratefully, quickly followed Brian into the cockpit and closed the hatch.
Then Brian asked with a smile: “Tell me, why did you let Chongming close off its system?”
As the creator of Chongming, Luo Fei long expected that he would find out the problem immediately, so he didn’t hide it. “Uncle Brian, I asked Chongming to close its system in order to find an excuse to see you. I discovered that Iman seems to like Mo Han. I have to stop this matter, Iman and Mo Han cannot be together.”
Brian couldn’t help laughing when he heard this. “It can’t be that you like our Iman?”
Luo Fei looked blank: “…No.”
Brian looked at him appreciatively and said, “My family’s Iman has a lively personality. He’s always liked teasing and bullying you ever since you guys were children. But Iman is actually quite cute and has no evil intentions.”
He walked up to Luo Fei, and lightly patted him on the shoulder. “Your vision is very good, falling in love with our family’s Iman. Can this be considered as childhood sweethearts who grew up together? Iman’s father and your father are cousins, and you don’t share a direct relationship with Iman, so marriage is possible. But you are still young, and I don’t suggest you getting married so early.”
Luo Fei: “…”
Uncle, your brain hole is better than mine!
I don’t like your strange omega, I like Mo Han…
Luo Fei explained embarrassingly: “Uncle, I don’t like Iman. We grew up together, and our relationship is almost like brothers. I also hope that he can find an alpha who really likes him. But it can’t be Mo Han. He and Mo Han are not suitable.”
Brian stroked his chin and thought for a moment, then said: “I think Iman’s attitude towards Mo Han is just like friends. Iman is like this, and has already brought more than a dozen alphas home since childhood. You don’t have to worry, he won’t fall for Mo Han so soon. When he really finds a boyfriend, as a father, I will definitely check them out. When I asked him what he thought before, he said that he would only consider it after he’s 25. It’s too early to get married now.”
“That’s good.” Luo Fei coughed lightly.
As long as Iman stays away from Mo Han, he can chase after Mo Han without worry.
Luo Fei put his heart back into his stomach, and Chongming finally started normally.
Seeing Brian, Chongming immediately said positively: “Mr. Brian, can you help me strengthen my defense network by the way? I’m afraid my system will be hacked!”
Brian raised his eyebrows. “Hacked? The system of a S-class smart mech is the most advanced in the entire empire. No hacker can easily invade your system.”
Chongming said, “But what if that hacker is particularly powerful?”
Brian laughed. “Why are you suddenly worried about this?”
Chongming thought to himself, because my master has taken a fancy to a particularly powerful hacker.
Luo Fei knew what it was thinking, so he quickly stepped in and said with a smile: “Uncle Brian, Chongming became worried after hearing about the spaceship’s system failure. He’s been worrying about being hacked recently. Since there’s nothing wrong with its system, I won’t bother you any longer.”
Brian said, “Okay, you can always come to me if you have any questions.”

While Brian and Luo Fei were in the cockpit, Iman called Mo Han to sit beside him and chatted about smart mechs.
The two chatted very speculatively, and Iman said excitedly: “Actually, I made a small mech by myself some time ago. Mo Han, can you show me the intelligent system of the mech? I’m just stuck here – I don’t know what system to install to make the mech run smoothly.”
Mo Han was also very interested in his self-made mech, and readily agreed. “Okay.”
Iman pulled him and said, “Come with me, my mech is just at home.”
Mo Han followed him and turned to another room, where Iman took his mech out of the storage. The 1.5m tall humanoid mech is very immature at first glance. However, Iman is very impressive being able to complete such a mech independently as a college student.
Mo Han checked the system over, and quickly discovered the problem. “Does your mech often make mistakes when executing orders?”
Iman nodded immediately. “That’s right!”
Mo Han said: “Installing a complicated system on a simple mech like yours will affect the speed of executing commands. You can try the Fengyang Group’s intelligent mech OS version 2.0, which is made for mechs similar to yours. It should be more suitable.”
Iman scratched his head: “But I don’t have that version in my hand.”
Mo Han said, “It’s okay, I’ll do it for you.”
He brought out his optical brain, and under Iman’s adoring gaze, calmly and quickly modified the system code.

When Luo Fei and Brian came out of Chongming’s cockpit, Iman and Mo Han were no longer present.
Where could they go in just a few minutes?
Luo Fei’s face froze, and he immediately asked Ethan, who was standing nearby expressionlessly, “Where’s your brother?”
Ethan replied like a robot without any emotion in his cold and indifferent voice: “He took Mo Han to see his self-made mech.”
Luo Fei felt a little nervous, and immediately grabbed the other party and said, “Take me there quickly.”
Ethan led the way, and Luo Fei quickly followed him to the mech showroom next door.
This is a space specially reserved by Brian for his son to store the products Iman makes. Luo Fei has also been here before, and he is very disgusted with the weird mechs he made.
As soon as he entered the door, he saw Iman sitting on a chair with his chin propped up, looking at Mo Han with admiration.
And Mo Han sat on the office chair next to him, with a serious expression.
His intelligent optical computer was on the table full of dazzlingly complex codes. His fingers moved over the keyboard, typing and modifying these codes rapidly, causing complex codes to quickly slide across the screen line by line.
The blue light from the LCD screen reflected on his fair face, making his angular face even more handsome.
It was the first time Luo Fei saw the serious face of Mo Han writing code.
When Mo Han was invited into the cockpit on the spaceship, Luo Fei was blocked outside and couldn’t see anything. All he knew was that he restored the system to normal within 35 seconds. Then, at the KM AIrlines press conference, Mo Han explained the Locke virus with a laser pointer, but Luo Fei never saw how he dealt with the virus.
But today, he finally saw Mo Han at work.
This kind of Mo Han seems to be a little different from the usual Mo Han.
Mo Han’s fair and slender fingers seemed to be dancing as they pressed on the keyboard.
His serious expression and perfect profile made him so handsome that he couldn’t take his eyes off.
Luo Fei heard the beating sound of his heart.
At that moment, he suddenly wanted to hug Mo Han into his arms from behind, and tell the other party, ‘Mo Han, you look so handsome when you work hard, I really want to tie you like this by my side so that you’re mine alone. I’m really afraid that you will be snatched away by others.’
However, it was not convenient for Luo Fei to say these words now. He could only look at Mo Han’s side face tenderly.
Ethan glanced at the adoring elder brother, and then at the obsessed Luo Fei… they looked like Mo Han’s two little fans.
He snorted softly, turned and left the workshop.

When Brian walked into the room, Mo Han had already finished modifying the system. He finally pressed the confirmation button. “Okay, you can install it and try it.”
Iman excitedly installed the system modified by Mo Han into his small mech.
Sure enough, after switching to the operating system, the mech was much smoother. Iman commanded his mech to walk around, bend over, pick up things, and waited for it to successfully execute a complete set of instructions. Seeing it complete, Iman finally breathed a sigh of relief and walked over to stand in front of Mo Han. “Mo Han, you’re amazing! This mech is the most complete one I’ve made so far. As a thank you for your help, why don’t I give it to you?”
Mo Han said politely, “No, you can keep it for yourself as a souvenir.”
Iman scratched his head and thought for a while, and said, “Okay. This mech is too simple, and you won’t be able to use it anyway. When I make an S-class super mech later, I will give it to you first.”
Luo Fei: “…”
Wait, what’s up with that adoring look on your face, Iman? You don’t really like Mo Han, do you?
Just as Luo Fei was about to intervene, he heard Iman say, “Father, can I take Mo Han to visit the fifth floor?”
Naturally, Brian would not refuse his son’s request, and nodded, “Of course.”
“Great!” Iman explained to Mo Han: “There are a lot of precious materials on the fifth floor, including the manufacturing diagrams of all the S-class mechs in the Empire. My father usually doesn’t allow people to go up. You lucked out this time!”
“Thank you, uncle.” Mo Han smiled slightly at Brian, and said, “for letting me feast my eyes.”
“You’re welcome, just walk around as you like.” Brian said with a good temper.
Then, Mo Han followed Iman and turned away, chatting while walking, looking very happy.
Seeing that the two of them behave intimately, the vinegar vat in Luo Fei’s heart had long since overturned. The strong sour smell overwhelmed him, making him unable to sit still for a moment. He decisively turned around and followed Iman. Seeing him move so quickly, Brian couldn’t help sighing softly, and turned to ask his younger son, “Does Luo Fei like your brother? He said he didn’t like him, what do you think?”
Ethan: “…”
Facing his son’s cold face, Brian smiled and said, “Why, you don’t agree?”
Ethan said indifferently: “Father thinks too much. Luo Fei was often bullied by elder brother when he was a child. It’s more likely for him to hide from brother.”
Brian wondered, “Then why is he so nervous?”
Ethan looked at Luo Fei’s back coldly, and thought, maybe his nervousness is due to another person.
Lol, everyone can tell Luo Fei is acting weird. 😂
