Chapter 1665: Arrival at Terra Empire: Part-1
Chapter 1665: Arrival at Terra Empire: Part-1
Zzzzhhhhh~
The bright golden-white light shimmered violently, flooding his entire vision with blinding radiance.
Layers of distorted energy rippled around the portal like liquid glass as spatial particles crackled through the air with sharp electric hisses.
For a brief second, everything vanished behind that overwhelming glow.
Then his foot stepped out.
Shimmering golden-white particles scattered across Lackey’s body like fragments of burning dust while the portal behind him released another pulse of compressed dimensional energy. His eyes immediately adjusted as the light faded away, revealing the metallic world before him.
Lackey blinked a few times beneath the rabbit mask while his senses slowly stabilised from the portal transition.
The first thing that struck him was not the sight... but the smell.
Bread?
Freshly baked bread!
"Hmm..."
Lackey slowly licked his lips and swallowed as an unfamiliar warmth spread through his chest.
The feeling reminded him of something distant... Like returning home after years away, only to find someone still waiting with food prepared just for you.
For a brief moment, the tension in his muscles loosened.
Then his eyes moved forward.
Humongous metallic walls towered around the entire area, stretching upward.
Layers of armoured alloy plating overlapped one another while streams of blue energy pulsed through glowing lines embedded within the structure.
Heavy defence cannons rotated slowly along elevated rails while rows of automated machine guns remained locked around the gigantic Golden-White Portal behind them.
Every weapon pointed directly at the portal.
Ready to fire within milliseconds.
Small crimson scanners repeatedly swept across the slaves, one after another, while surveillance drones hovered in the air with faint mechanical humming sounds.
The Slaves were shocked in disbelief, seeing this all as if... they were acting like a country bumpkin.
*Move!*
A violent shove struck his back.
Lackey stumbled forward before immediately regaining balance. He glanced behind him and saw several full black metallic figures with weapons in their hands standing before the portal entrance.
They stood like silent guardians protecting the dimensional gateway.
Clang...
The chains pulled again.
Lackey continued walking forward alongside the other slaves while his eyes carefully scanned everything around him.
His gaze narrowed slightly.
’Wait... I can’t sense either of the energies here?’
According to the captive from before, this world should have been overflowing with both forms of energy. Yet now that he stood here personally, he sensed absolutely nothing.
Did he lie to him?
Soon, they approached the end of the gigantic wall where five metallic doors stood several meters apart from each other.
Each door possessed glowing digital markings alongside scanning devices embedded into the walls. White holographic symbols flickered above them while mechanical sounds echoed behind the door.
"Remain in formation."
A deep amplified voice echoed from ahead.
"Any unauthorised movement will be interpreted as hostile intent.
Resistance protocols will activate immediately."
The black metallic figure with the golden strip across its armoured structure stepped forward while speaking.
Several red scanning beams immediately crossed over the slaves again.
"Do not test the security network," the figure continued. "Your survival rate will decrease significantly."
Hissssss!
Clang~
The chains connecting all two hundred and fifty slaves suddenly unlocked at once with loud, pressurised sound.
Lackey instantly noticed the strange invisible pressure around his body disappear completely.
His eyebrows rose slightly.
He lowered his gaze toward the fallen chains lying across the floor.
’So... these things stabilise travel through the portal.’
He was already thinking about how to steal one without attracting attention.
Then suddenly,
"I’M FREE!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!"
A manic scream exploded through the area.
Lackey lifted his head sharply and saw a bulky orc slave break formation with crazed excitement twisting across his face. The man immediately tried to sprint away from the line.
But he only managed to take a single step.
TTTTTTTRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!
Every machine gun mounted across the walls rotated simultaneously with terrifying synchronisation.
Streams of gunfire erupted together like mechanical thunder as blazing muzzle flashes illuminated the entire facility.
Nobody could even process what had happened.
Everything occurred within less than a few seconds before silence swallowed the entire area again.
The machine guns slowly rotated away from the corpse, their blazing red-hot nozzles releasing thin streams of smoke before turning back toward the portal entrance once more as if nothing had happened at all.
The bulky orc... or what remained of him, collapsed lifelessly onto the polished marble floor.
His body was riddled with holes from the concentrated gunfire while blood leaked endlessly from the wounds, spreading across the reflective white surface like water pouring from a poked bottle.
Then suddenly,
"KYAAAAA!!"
"NOOOO!!"
"HELP ME!!"
Terrified screams exploded across the line.
Several slaves nearly lost control and instinctively tried to run away, while others stumbled backwards in panic, their breathing turning chaotic.
But before anyone could move further,
"Take one more step... and you will die exactly like him."
The amplified mechanical voice echoed across the facility.
Instantly, every slave froze in place.
The black metallic figure with the golden strip stood motionless while its visor glowed faintly beneath the artificial lights.
The machine guns mounted across the walls were slightly adjusted again, producing tiny clicking sounds as targeting systems recalibrated toward the crowd.
That alone was enough.
The slaves immediately stopped moving.
The blood on their face disappeared as the cold fear hit their body.
Some trembled violently while others covered their mouths in terror. Nobody dared to make another sound after witnessing how quickly the man had been erased from existence.
Lackey remained completely silent.
Behind the rabbit mask, his eyes calmly watched several additional black metallic figures arrive near the corpse.
One figure deployed a cylindrical device that instantly sprayed chemical foam over the blood.
Another lifted the corpse effortlessly.
Within less than twenty seconds, the entire area was cleaned.
No blood.
Nobody.
As if they were used to this.
"Good."
The golden-striped figure stepped forward again.
"Now listen carefully. I understand most of you are still incapable of fully comprehending your current situation."
Its amplified voice carried through hidden speakers embedded within the walls.
"As of this moment, you are classified as commercial assets under interdimensional transfer protocol."
The visor slowly scanned across the remaining two hundred and forty-nine slaves.
"In simpler terms..."
A brief pause followed.
"You are products."
Murmurs immediately spread across the crowd.
Fear... Bitterness and... Resignation.
Yet nobody dared to speak loudly anymore.
Not after witnessing a body reduced to shredded meat in less than a second.
The figure continued,
"And do you understand what products are designed for?"
"To be sold."
Several slaves weakly lowered their heads.
Of course.
Most of them were already slaves long before arriving here, especially criminal slaves. Being bought and sold repeatedly throughout their lives was nothing new.
"However," the metallic figure continued, "your circumstances here are considerably more favourable compared to your slave-class civilisations."
"In this world, value determines status. Competence determines privilege."
The slaves frowned in confusion while glancing nervously at one another.
Some failed to understand the meaning behind those words.
Others understood too well.
"As long as you prove yourselves useful," the figure said coldly, "your classification level can rise accordingly."
A faint mechanical hum echoed throughout the walls as holographic symbols flickered above the five chamber doors ahead.
"But before that..."
The figure’s voice suddenly sharpened.
"You will cooperate fully with all processing procedures. Any irrational behaviour, resistance, escape attempts, or hostile reactions will result in immediate termination."
The metallic figure slowly pointed toward the spot where the dead slave had been moments ago.
Even without the corpse present anymore, everyone’s face still turned pale.
The image remained burned into their minds.
"Good."
The figure lowered its arm.
"Now form five rows. One by one, you will enter the processing chambers for biological registration and evaluation."
The moment it finished speaking, five additional black metallic figures with golden strips stepped forward and positioned themselves before the doors.
Hydraulic sounds echoed from their armoured bodies while blue scanning lines moved across their visors.
Though the slaves hesitated briefly, the memory of the execution forced them to obey immediately.
The crowd quickly divided into five separate lines.
Nobody spoke anymore.
Nobody resisted.
Only the sound of nervous breathing and footsteps echoed across the enormous facility while, one by one, the slaves approached the chamber doors.
Each metallic guard scanned the entering slaves carefully before allowing them inside.
Lackey stood at the very end of the fifth line and waited quietly. Beneath the rabbit mask, his eyes carefully observed everyone’s movements without missing a single detail.
The slaves ahead of him were scanned one after another before being sent inside the chambers.
Meanwhile, the metallic figure that had brought them here randomly stopped several slaves and conducted additional inspections on their bodies.
Time slowly passed beneath the lights.
Nearly an hour later, it was finally Lackey’s turn.
"Remove your mask."
The mech-suit standing beside the chamber door spoke while extending its armoured hand.
Lackey silently reached upward and removed the rabbit mask from his face.
The instant his face became visible,
"Fuck... close it, close it!"
The metallic figure abruptly staggered backwards as if it nearly vomited inside the suit. Its voice distorted from shock while it quickly pointed at him.
"What the hell is wrong with your face?"
Then its visor suddenly focused on the black ring resting on Lackey’s finger.
"Remove that too."
Lackey frowned slightly.
"This is my wife’s ring. I cannot."
The metallic figure paused briefly before letting out an amused laugh.
"Oh? Look at this slave raising his voice against me."
The figure leaned slightly closer.
"Wait... you actually have a wife? With that kind of face?"
A distorted chuckle escaped through the suit speakers.
"Hahaha... how did she even let you touch her? Don’t tell me she was blind. Maybe she was desperate or—"
Tang!
A metallic hand suddenly smacked the back of the figure’s helmet with a loud clang.
The mech-suit instantly flinched and turned around.
The black armoured figure with a golden strip stood behind him. It was the same one who had escorted the slaves earlier.
*What exactly are you doing?*
Its mechanical voice carried clear authority.
*Do you think we brought them here to entertain you?*
The other figure immediately straightened.
*I-I apologize, sir. H-He refused to cooperate. It’s only a ring, but he’s acting like his life depends on it even though his face already looks completely fu—*
Tang!
Another hard smack landed directly on its helmet.
*Looks like you need maintenance for that mouth of yours.*
The golden-striped figure spoke coldly.
*Leave. I’ll handle this personally.*
The other metallic guard stepped away with visible irritation in its movements before disappearing toward another processing line.
The remaining figure then turned toward Lackey.
Its tone became noticeably quieter.
"Mr. Lackey, proceed through the chamber."
The mechanical voice lowered enough to avoid attracting attention from nearby guards.
"You’ll undergo decontamination, receive a vaccination shot, and complete a standard biological inspection. Remove your mask entirely during the process. Keeping it on may interfere with the internal scanners and trigger security protocols."
The figure briefly glanced around before continuing.
"Once you exit, another mech-suit unit will escort you toward the secondary transfer sector. Simply follow their instructions and avoid drawing unnecessary attention to yourself."
Lackey merely hummed softly in response.
Without another word, he removed the rabbit mask completely.
The metallic figure silently inspected his face for a few moments before giving a small nod.
The thick chamber door slowly unlocked with a deep mechanical hiss.
The moment Lackey stepped inside the dark chamber, the door sealed shut behind him.
THUNK.
A violent surge of compressed air suddenly exploded from every direction.
The pressure swept across his body like a miniature storm while blue lights illuminated the chamber walls. Before he could fully react, several mechanical arms extended from hidden compartments with frightening speed.
Click.
Click.
Click.
In one smooth motion, the robotic appendages stripped away his clothes, leaving him completely exposed.
Then warm streams of water descended from above like controlled rainfall.
"Hmm..."
Lackey tilted his head slightly while feeling a faint burning sensation spread across his skin.
The water carried a sharp chemical smell mixed with something metallic, almost like liquid antiseptic enhanced through advanced biotechnology.
Moments later, more robotic arms emerged from the walls.
Several mechanical hands began scrubbing his body with precise, almost inhuman efficiency while blue scanning beams repeatedly moved across his exposed skin.
Lackey chuckled softly beneath his breath.
’Pretty rough... but efficient.’
Still, he couldn’t deny the strange comfort hidden within the process. After days of exhaustion, blood, dust, and endless tension, the sensation of warm water running across his body felt unexpectedly relaxing.
Another powerful burst of compressed air suddenly roared through the chamber.
FWOOOOSHHH!!
The violent current swept across his entire body, instantly drying every trace of water from his skin within seconds.
Chukk!
Suddenly, Lackey groaned slightly.
A sharp sting pierced the side of his neck as though a needle had been driven directly into his flesh at high speed.
His eyes narrowed instantly.
*Vaccination sequence complete.*
The cold mechanical voice echoed through hidden speakers.
!~Ding~!
[Antigens detected on User’s body]
[Initialising Purification Sequence...]
[1% → 10% → 50% → 100%]
[Purification Complete]
Lackey rubbed the side of his neck while clicking his tongue softly.
The strange substance injected into him spread through his veins like liquid fire for a brief moment before fading into a faint numbness.
Then the darkness around him shifted.
Thin blue energy lines suddenly ignited across the chamber walls, illuminating countless hidden mechanisms embedded inside the metallic structure.
Vrrrrrrrr...
A circular scanning device slowly descended from the ceiling and stopped directly above his head.
Crimson light poured downward.
The beam covered his completely naked body from head to toe with terrifying precision while streams of holographic data instantly appeared in the surrounding air.
*Beginning biological analysis.*
The emotionless mechanical voice continued.
Lackey narrowed his eyes slightly as countless microscopic scanning beams swept across his skin repeatedly. For a brief moment, it almost felt as though the machine could see through his flesh itself.
Bones.
Organs.
Blood flow.
Neural signals.
Everything.
Then suddenly,
Tchk!
Several tiny metallic needles extended from a robotic arm beside him and lightly pierced his fingertips.
A few drops of blood were instantly extracted.
The holographic screens surrounding the chamber suddenly flickered rapidly.
*New DNA structure detected.*
*Species classification... Unknown.*
*Genetic sequence incompatible with the database.*
A brief silence filled the chamber.
Even the mechanical systems seemed to pause for less than a second.
Lackey’s eyes quietly observed the shifting holographic symbols reflected across the metallic walls.
Then from the darkness ahead, a hidden compartment slid open with a mechanical hiss.
A neatly folded set of black clothing emerged from inside and stopped before him. The robotic hands took it, it was single piece of unstiched cloth and it drapped over Lackey and sttinched it over him.
A neatly folded set of black clothing emerged smoothly from a hidden compartment and glided to a gentle stop right in front of him.
Two sleek robotic arms extended and carefully grasped the fabric... a single piece of unstitched black cloth.
The arms unfolded the cloth and draped it over Lackey’s shoulders, then wrapped it around his body. Tiny metallic fingers worked swiftly and accurately, stitching the cloth seamlessly into place with rapid, almost invisible needle-like motions.
*Decontamination and inspection complete.*
The robotic voice announced coldly.
At the same moment, another mechanical arm extended toward the metallic cuff locked around Lackey’s wrist.
Held between its mechanical fingers was a glowing circular golden crystal.
The cuff itself possessed a small hollow slot, almost as if it had been specifically designed to hold the crystal.
Click~
The moment the glowing crystal connected with the cuff, a faint golden pulse spread outward instantly.
Lackey’s eyes narrowed.
A thin, invisible layer wrapped around his body like transparent armour.
He frowned slightly because the sensation felt strangely familiar.
*Subject approved for transfer.*
A final gust of warm sterilised air swept across his body before the massive door ahead slowly opened with a deep metallic groan.
GRRRRNNNK...
Lackey calmly wore the rabbit mask again before stepping out of the chamber.
Outside, another squad of mech-suits stood.
Their visors simultaneously turned toward him the moment he appeared.
One of the gold-striped black mech-suits walked directly toward him.
"Lackey?"
Lackey gave a small nod.
"Yes."
"Proceed to the designated line."
Lackey silently complied and walked toward the already formed line nearby.
As he took his place within the line, his gaze briefly swept across the others.
Every single slave possessed the same glowing circular golden crystal embedded in the cuffs around their wrists.
Watching them closely, Lackey’s eyes narrowed slightly behind the rabbit mask.
