Chapter 1886: He’s More Fucking Inhuman Than You Think! Part -1
While Aether was surprised by Arcane’s involvement, in the outside world, Jonathan, Sasha, and Allen were searching for any clues that could reveal where he had gone.
To their surprise, Aether’s Mech-suit had been missing ever since he left.
At first, they assumed that Aether had simply taken it with him. However, after checking the nearby security cameras, they discovered that Lily was the one who had taken Aether with her.
They traced her vehicle and eventually found it parked near the slums.
There was no footage of Lily entering the slum with anyone, nor was there any evidence of the vehicle leaving afterwards.
It was as if the two of them had simply vanished into thin air.
The discovery left Jonathan with countless questions, but one bothered him more than the others.
Why would Lily deliberately park her vehicle near the slum?
That was why they entered the slum, hoping to find some trace of Lily and Aether hidden somewhere within the crowded settlements.
“How did she even know about this place? Did you tell her about the slum?” Jonathan asked coldly as he glanced at Allen through the rear-view mirror.
Sitting in the back seat, Allen slowly shook his head. “No. I didn’t tell anyone about it, and I certainly didn’t tell her.”
Sasha frowned as she looked toward Allen. “Then why would she bring him here? She had no reason to come anywhere near this place unless she already knew something.”
Allen remained quiet for a moment before answering in a low voice. “I have no idea.”
Jonathan stared at Allen through the mirror for several seconds. He finally turned his attention back to the road and continued driving down the uneven, unpaved path.
“Keep lying if that is what you intend to do,” Jonathan said coldly, his voice carrying a restrained fury.
“But eventually, the truth will come out, whether you choose to tell me or not.”
Allen, on the other hand, remained silent. His fingers slowly curled into a tight fist against his knee as a single thought troubled him.
‘Did she… know?’ he wondered, his expression becoming increasingly worried.
Soon, Jonathan drove the vehicle toward a nearby settlement camp where armed personnel were conducting inspections throughout the area.
The moment they noticed the familiar vehicle approaching, several armed men immediately stopped what they were doing and hurried toward it.
“Welcome, Boss!”
Everyone stood upright and saluted as the vehicle came to a halt.
Jonathan stepped out of the car and immediately raised his hand, showing them images of the girl and boy.
“Have any of you seen these two enter this area?” he asked, his voice calm but carrying enough authority to silence the surrounding chatter.
The group exchanged uneasy glances before slowly shaking their heads in unison.
Jonathan narrowed his eyes. “Are you certain? Think carefully before you answer. Or… did someone here get bribed to let visitors without passes?”
The armed men visibly flinched at his words… They let so many in on a bribe. Who knows if they were one of them or not.
Such a predicament, right?
Jonathan’s expression twitched as his suspicion deepened. He looked across the group before speaking in a dangerously calm voice.
“Lock down the Slum. No one enters or leaves without my permission, and I want every one of you searching the settlements for these two.”
The armed men immediately nodded without hesitation. “Yes, Boss.”
Within minutes, the entire settlement was thrown into a coordinated search. Armed personnel moved from house to house, checking narrow alleys, abandoned structures, and every corner where someone could have been hiding.
Hours later, inside the tent, Jonathan stood beside the table with his jaw clenched, his untouched cup of tea sitting nearby as reports continued to come in empty-handed.
“What do you mean you still haven’t found them?” Jonathan shouted as he grabbed the teacup and hurled it toward the armed man.
The cup struck the man and shattered across the face, sending fragments as the man instinctively recoiled.
The man could only lower his head as he answered nervously, “We searched everywhere, Sir, but we haven’t found them.”
Jonathan’s lips twitched as he stared at him. “But her car was parked there… she should still be somewhere around here.” He clenched his fist tightly, the frustration evident in his expression.
He had already lost Maiuri, and the President was furious with him right now. He could not afford to lose this opportunity and disappoint him even further.
Jonathan nervously nibbled at his fingernail, his eyes wandering across the tent as he tried to piece everything together.
“If they didn’t come here, then where could they have gone?”
Just then, his eyes shifted toward Allen. He frowned slightly before looking back at the armed man and asking,
“What about his sector? Did you find anything there?”
The armed man glanced uneasily at Allen.
“Oi, I’m talking to you. You obey me,” Jonathan said coldly, causing the armed man to flinch before quickly lowering his head.
“Forgive me, Boss.”
Jonathan stood up and walked closer to the armed man. His footsteps were slow and deliberate as he stopped directly in front of him.
“Did you search there?” he asked coldly.
The armed man swallowed before answering calmly, “They had gone to work today, Boss, so I didn’t think there would be anyone there.”
Jonathan’s expression darkened. “You didn’t think? Did I ask you to think?” he asked in a deadly tone.
Before the man could respond, Jonathan abruptly grabbed the gun from his side and shot him in the head.
BANG!
Blood splattered across the ground as the body collapsed lifelessly.
“Jonathan!” Allen shouted, his voice trembling with rage.
Jonathan merely smirked as he looked toward him. “What? Was he someone you trusted or something?”
Allen could only clench his fists tightly, forcing himself to remain silent despite the fury burning inside him.
Jonathan scoffed and walked out of the tent. He then called for another armed soldier and ordered him to prepare a team to search Allen’s sector.
“Let’s see whether you’re truly hiding something behind our backs or not,” Jonathan said coldly as he glanced back at Allen.
Soon, they travelled toward that sector.
Once they arrived, the armed personnel immediately began searching the settlements one by one. Rows of soldiers moved through the narrow paths, entering houses and checking every possible hiding place with stern expressions.
Jonathan and Sasha remained seated inside the car, watching the search unfold through the windows.
“Damn it… I’m getting pissed off right now. If only that little bitch had fallen into my hands, I would have shown her where she truly belongs,” Jonathan said in a frustrated voice, his fingers drumming impatiently against his thigh.
Sasha smiled softly and placed a reassuring hand on him. “It’s alright, darling. You’ll get her eventually.”
Jonathan clicked his tongue in annoyance.
“If not for him begging the President, I would have fucked her a long time ago,” he said with an irritated expression.
“And today, they killed Maiuri, and the President has lost faith in him. This is my chance. If I handle this correctly, I’ll soon be promoted to Governor. I cannot afford to miss this opportunity.”
Sasha nodded in understanding before leaning closer to him with a playful smile. “Looks like my husband needs to cool down.”
She slowly moved closer, letting her hand rest on his crotch as she tried to ease his growing frustration.
“Here, let me take the stress away from you,” Sasha said softly as she slowly unzipped his pants, lowering her mouth…
Soon, Jonathan leaned back and closed his eyes, allowing himself to sink into the sensation.
Yet even through his momentary pleasure, his attention remained partly fixed on the world outside.
Through the car window, he noticed Allen standing nearby, his expression unreadable as he stared toward the distant settlements.
Jonathan’s lips curled into a sinister smirk. ‘Since the President has lost his trust in you, he won’t interfere anymore… Hehe. You finally have nowhere left to hide,’ he thought, his confidence returning as he watched Allen.
“When we find her… I’m going to make sure you understand exactly what happens when someone stands in my way,” Jonathan said wickedly.
“And when I finally get my hands on her, I’m going to fuck her right before your eyes. I wonder how long that calm expression of yours will last. Ahaha… I can already imagine the look on your face.”
He gripped Sasha’s head and pushed deeper into her throat… his eyes rolling back as he felt himself coming something.
Meanwhile, Allen stood near the car, staring blankly toward the settlements. He could sense that something was happening behind him, but he deliberately refused to look back.
‘Please don’t be here,’ Allen silently prayed. ‘Please… let her have already left. Let my daughter be anywhere but here.’
The thought of Lily being caught in the middle of Jonathan’s search sent a cold weight through his chest, but he forced himself to remain still. If Jonathan noticed even the slightest change in his behaviour, everything could be exposed.
Meanwhile, Lucus, the man who had brought Aether and Lily to the settlement, suddenly noticed several armed personnel searching through the surrounding houses.
His face immediately stiffened.
“Shit… they found us!”
He was just about to press the gas and drive away when he remembered the two people he had brought there. His hand froze on the steering wheel for a moment before he cursed under his breath and immediately stepped out of the vehicle.
“I can’t leave them behind.”
Lucus hurried toward the house, his footsteps growing faster as he watched the armed personnel spreading through the settlement. Without even knocking, he pushed open the door, rushed inside, locked it behind him, and hurriedly shouted,
“Lily, we got fou—!”
His voice died instantly.
His eyes became dull as a pair of crimson eyes suddenly appeared before him.
Lia stood there calmly.
“What were you about to say?” she asked, her voice strangely calm.
Lucus answered in a blank tone, “We got found… The soldiers are searching through the settlements.”
Lily’s face immediately turned pale as she looked toward the door.
“Oh no! We need to run!” she exclaimed.
Lia slowly glanced toward the little girl before giving her a confident smirk.
“Girl… running away?” she said, lightly flipping her hair over her shoulder. “That’s not my style. Do you even know who I am—”
“A bat just knelt and cried before a tiny fairy not to tell the truth?”
Lily interrupted bluntly.
Lia immediately fell silent.
For several seconds, she simply stared at Lily.
Then, Lia’s eye twitched before a slow grin appeared across her face.
“Hahaha… You have guts,” she said, pretending that the interruption had not wounded her pride at all.
“Very well, little fairy. I’ll remember that.”
Lily looked at her with a deeply disappointed expression and slowly shook her head.
“We don’t have time for this. If they found out—”
KNOCK, KNOCK!!
The loud banging against the door echoed inside the house.
“Is somebody in there?” a voice called from outside.
Everyone immediately went silent.
Lily’s face turned pale as she stared toward the door, her breathing becoming shallow.
KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK!!
“Open the door! We’re conducting a search!”
