Chapter 1887: He’s More Fucking Inhuman Than You Think! Part -2

Two armed men banged violently on the door.

“Is someone there? Answer me!”

They kept pounding on the door, growing more impatient with every unanswered knock. Finally, they raised their guns and prepared to tear through the door when,

Thud!

The door suddenly opened, and a boy stepped outside with a completely blank expression, his eyes carrying not even the slightest hint of concern.

“Oh? It’s Lucus. What are you doing here, buddy?”

They asked with a mixture of suspicion and surprise.

The boy answered in a blunt, almost emotionless tone,

“I shit my pants, so I came in to wash it out… do you want to smell it?”

“…”

“…”

The two armed men simply stared at him, their expressions frozen in utter confusion.

Smell it?

For what?

Meanwhile, inside the house, Lia covered her mouth as she quietly snickered, while Lily’s face turned beet red. She leaned toward Lia and whispered in disbelief, “What the heck do you mean, smell it? Eww!”

Lia only giggled harder, her eyes gleaming with amusement as she seemed ready to take the ridiculous excuse even further.

Outside, Lucus noticed their doubtful expressions and sighed as though deeply offended by their lack of faith.

“It seems you don’t believe me… I will prove it to you,” he said as he reached for his belt and began to unbuckle his pants.

“SHIT! Man! Stop!”

One of them moved faster than anything he had ever done in his life, grabbing Lucus’s hands and stopping him before the situation could become far more dangerous than either of them wanted to witness.

“W-We believe you!”

“Y-Yeah! We believe you!”

Both armed men nodded with unusually serious expressions, their faces pale from what they had nearly been forced to witness.

Lucus clicked his tongue in disappointment and muttered, “Your loss.”

Both men stared at him again, completely bewildered.

What did he mean by ‘Your loss’?

They shook their heads and decided not to question it before asking, “Have you seen these two?”

One of them raised his hand, projecting a hologram that displayed the images of two people.

Lucus stared at the hologram for a moment before slowly shaking his head.

“I don’t know them… why?”

“Boss wants to capture them. He even killed the captain, so whoever catches them might get the captain’s position. Look at our men. They’re searching faster than ever.”

He pointed toward the other armed men, who were already moving from one settlement to another while searching every possible location.

“Come on, search with us. You’ve always aimed for the captain’s seat. This is your chance.”

The two armed men looked at Lucus expectantly, as though they genuinely believed they were offering him the opportunity of a lifetime.

Lucus nodded slowly, but before he could take a single step, his expression suddenly changed. He immediately clutched his stomach and bent forward.

“Oh shit! It’s coming again!! Arrgh! You go without me…”

He hurried back inside the house and shut the door behind him before giving them even the slightest chance to look inside.

The two men stood there, staring at the closed door in confusion.

After a moment, Lucus slowly peeked out again. His face was pale, and he forced himself to look as though he were enduring terrible pain.

“D-Don’t worry about me… I-I will be fine as long as… one of us becomes the next Captain…”

He paused, gripping his stomach tightly before looking at them with trembling eyes.

“Do it for me!!”

Thud!

He shut the door again, leaving the two men standing silently outside.

Both men blinked at the closed door. Slowly, their eyes began to fill with tears.

“I didn’t know he was this kind.”

“I didn’t either.”

They exchanged a solemn nod, their expressions filled with newfound respect.

Without another word, they walked away and continued searching the other settlements.

Once they left, Lily looked at Lucus with a pitiful expression.

‘I don’t know how embarrassing that must have been…’ she thought before glancing toward Lia.

“What should we do now?” Lia asked Grace.

Grace blinked and looked at her with a faintly cold expression.

“Why ask me? While you remain here, nothing in this place is capable of harming him,” she said calmly, her gaze resting upon Aether, who remained completely unmoving and silent.

Lia blinked before glancing toward the door. “Yeah, right… Why are we scared of some pitiful cattle?”

Lily looked at Aether curiously before asking, “So what exactly is going on here?”

Grace remained silent, as if explaining some random matter was simply not her responsibility.

Meanwhile, Allen had been staring hesitantly toward a particular direction. He let out a quiet sigh when he realised that nothing had happened there.

‘So she isn’t there… Thank goodness.’

Allen sighed inwardly, but his relief quickly faded as another thought surfaced.

‘If she’s not here, then where would she be?’

He frowned as he wondered how his daughter had known about this place in the first place, and why she had brought him here.

Just as he was thinking about it, he noticed the dead walkers returning from their work.

People covered in bruises and wearing torn clothes slowly walked through the settlement, their heavy footsteps carrying the weight of exhaustion. The atmosphere around them felt oppressive, as though something invisible had settled heavily upon their shoulders.

Each person held a small piece of bread in their hands, as if it were the entirety of their ration for the day.

Their faces were drained of life, their dull and emotionless eyes staring at nothing as they dragged their exhausted bodies forward.

Children and elders, men and women alike, all returned from their labour in the same miserable silence.

They walked toward a container placed near the corner at the end of the street. There, like jam being spread onto bread, they took turns applying a thick red paste onto their single piece of bread before eating it quietly.

None of them seemed to care about the armed soldiers entering their homes and searching through their belongings. After everything they had endured throughout the day, they simply sat wherever they could and ate in silence.

“D-Daddy… It’s so hot.”

Jonathan, who had been enjoying his time, slowly opened his eyes when he heard the small voice.

His gaze fell upon a little girl wearing torn clothes that clung loosely to her body, revealing glimpses of her dirty skin through the damaged fabric.

Seeing the small things through gaps in the torn clothes.

His expression changed!

“Hmph!”

Sasha suddenly flinched when she felt something grow larger in her mouth.

Jonathan’s eyes glowed dangerously as he stared toward the girl.

“Such a lovely young bud…” he murmured before buckling his belt and stepping out of the car.

Sasha immediately followed him. After wiping her mouth, she stood beside him and followed his gaze toward the distant little girl.

“She?” Sasha asked, pointing toward the little girl who continued eating her bread with a panting mouth, apparently struggling with the intense heat of the red paste against her tongue.

Jonathan slowly licked his lips, his eyes remaining fixed on the little girl with a disturbing hunger.

“We came all this way. It would be a waste to such an appetiser.”

Sasha smirked as she flipped her hair. “Of course, I’ll prepare it for you~” she said, walking toward the little girl with deliberate confidence.

Allen frowned, but the moment he realised where Sasha was heading, the colour drained from his face.

“J-Jonathan… we didn’t come here for this,” Allen said, hurriedly shaking his head.

Jonathan did not even acknowledge him. His eyes remained fixed on the little girl as Sasha seized her hand and began dragging her toward him.

“Let me go! Let me go! Daddy! Help me!!” the little girl cried, tears streaming down her face as she desperately tried to pull herself free.

“M-Madam, Madam… P-Please… P-Please, she is my daughter… she is all I have left… Please, don’t take her!”

The man dropped to his knees and begged.

Sasha merely looked down at him with an empty expression before kicking him hard in the chest.

“Arrgh!”

The man collapsed onto the unpaved road, clutching his chest as the breath was knocked from his lungs.

“DADDY!!” the little girl screamed, her voice trembling as Sasha shoved her toward Jonathan.

Jonathan slowly looked her over from head to toe, his expression changing into something that made her instinctively recoil.

She was younger than Lily.

Jonathan swallowed, his cheeks turning red as his breathing grew heavier.

“What a beauty…” he murmured, a crooked smile spreading across his face. “How have I never noticed you before?”

The little girl froze beneath his gaze.

She instinctively wrapped her arms around herself, feeling weird, but Jonathan only smiled wider when he noticed her fear.

That expression made her stomach twist.

Jonathan looked toward Sasha.

“I-I cannot wait…” His voice had become strained with anticipation. “Just looking at her is making me lose patience.”

Sasha gave him an amused smile.

“Just five minutes, darling. We cannot have you touch her while she’s covered in filth.”

Jonathan’s jaw tightened as he stared at the little girl.

“F-Five minutes… That’s too long.” He let out a quiet, frustrated breath before smiling again.

“I want her now… right here, perhaps.”

The little girl’s face turned deathly pale.

She did not understand what he was saying or what he wanted from her, but the way he looked at her made her blood run cold. She could not explain why, yet every instinct inside her screamed that something terrible was about to happen, and her entire body froze as though fear itself had turned her into stone.

“Please…” she whispered.

Jonathan heard her but showed no reaction.

To him, her pleading was nothing more than another sound in the background.

Sasha giggled softly. “Come on, darling~ She’s not going to run away~”

Jonathan bit his lip before reluctantly nodding.

“Yeah… Prepare her for me, dear~”

He leaned forward and kissed Sasha hungrily, his eyes still wandering toward the frightened little girl even afterwards.

Sasha giggled.

“So hungry~”

She grabbed the little girl and began dragging her toward one of the nearby settlements.

The little girl struggled against her grip, repeatedly looking back toward her father.

“Daddy! Daddy, please!”

Her father could only remain on the ground, unable to move quickly enough to follow them.

“Please… somebody…”

His voice disappeared beneath the sound of Sasha’s footsteps.

Allen watched the scene with a tightening expression.

He knew exactly what Jonathan intended.

He had seen it before.

… He had allowed it before.

“Jonathan, we didn’t come here for tha—”

THUCK!

Jonathan’s fist slammed directly into Allen’s face.

Allen fell backwards and struck the ground, blood immediately spilling from the corner of his mouth.

“Cough… cough…”

Jonathan walked toward him and grabbed him roughly by the collar, lifting his head from the dirt.

“Don’t act like a saint now…” Jonathan said coldly.

Allen’s eyes remained lowered.

Jonathan leaned closer, his voice becoming quieter and far more venomous.

“To save your daughter… you gave me other people’s daughters whenever I wanted.”

Allen’s expression went hollow.

For several seconds, he said nothing.

Jonathan stared into his eyes and gave a contemptuous smile.

“We ain’t no different, Allen.”

He shoved Allen’s face away from him.

“You provide the product, and I enjoy it.”

His laughter echoed through the street.

“Hahaha.”

Allen lowered his head.

The blood running from his mouth was nothing compared to the shame weighing down his chest.

Nearby, Sasha bathed the little girl inside one of the settlement buildings while Jonathan waited outside, barely containing his impatience.

The dead walkers watched from a distance, their bodies stiff with fear.

Some quietly pulled their bread beneath their clothes, while others simply lowered their heads and pretended not to see anything.

Nobody dared interfere.

Nobody dared even speak.

They had already learned what happened to people who drew the attention of men like Jonathan.

“No… No… M-My daughter…”

The father remained sprawled across the unpaved road, tears mixing with

“No… No… M-My daughter… N-No… P-Please!!” the man begged as he lay on the unpaved road, his face broken by helpless despair.

His trembling hands pressed against the dirt as he struggled to lift himself, but his strength had already abandoned him.

With tears streaming down his face, the man gathered whatever remained of his strength and shouted one last time,

“IS THERE NO GOD!!”

His desperate cry tore through the settlement, racing between the silent people and passing through the terrified crowd before reaching a particular house…

Aether’s right ear twitched slightly.
