Chapter 1200: Three Weeks

Chapter 1200: Three Weeks

Three weeks had passed since the meeting, and only a week remained until the scheduled Ascension. A lot of things had happened over these past three weeks. For one, Vega had managed to convince her mother, Amara, to convince Klaus to let her go to another Upper Galaxy alone.

Although Klaus and Amara agreed, Anthony was certain that the couple would follow Vega to her Upper Galaxy and simply keep a low profile so Vega wouldn’t find out. Although Vega possessed the Cause and Effect ability, such things wouldn’t work on Klaus and Amara due to the difference in existence between them and their daughter.

Another thing that had happened was that Aaaninja and Lucian had decided to head to the Upper Galaxies with their girlfriends, Altheria and Veronica. And it wasn’t only that, Aura Nova had even decided to bring Rain with her, as the three of them couldn’t just leave these people behind.

And to Anthony’s surprise, the River Of Time had actually declined helping Aaaninja bring Altheria to whatever Upper Galaxy he ended up in. When he heard the news, it seemed like a lie, but the source was Aaaninja himself. It was Lucian who then told Aaaninja that Anthony might possess a way to help them.

And of course, Anthony helped them by simply creating a Mirror Dimension skill book and giving it to Aura Nova, Aaaninja, and Lucian.

When Anthony had asked Aaaninja why the River Of Time had refused to help him, he stated that the River Of Time had advised him to leave Altheria behind for her own safety.

Of course, as Anthony had given them the Mirror Dimension skill book, he wasn’t sure if Aaaninja, Lucian, and Aura Nova still planned to bring only one person with them, or whether they would change their minds and bring a group of people instead, such as their parents… or friends.

Although Anthony had entertained the thought at the time, he didn’t interfere, as it had nothing to do with him. Besides, he wasn’t in any position to give anyone any advice. After all, he knew that if he were in their shoes, he would have brought his own parents, and even Vega if she couldn’t come on her own.

Another development that shocked Anthony to the core was that Aura Nova and Clement had actually gone on various dates multiple times. Anthony had only found out when he asked his system where his subordinates were one day while he was bored, and on multiple occasions Clement had actually gone to the Dusk Planet.

Of course, Anthony had been tempted to spy on them, but after thinking about it, he gave up on the idea. If the woman Clement was in love with had been some random woman he didn’t even know, he would have spied on them without a shred of hesitation. But Aura Nova was his friend, and he couldn’t betray her like that.

Of course, he didn’t ask or confront Aura Nova about the relationship. He simply acted as though he knew nothing and patiently waited for her to tell everyone about it herself.

But… with the Ascension on the way, Anthony couldn’t help but wonder who would follow the other. Would Clement follow Aura Nova to her own Upper Galaxy? Or would the opposite happen? Or would the relationship end here, as they were both in pursuit of power… which didn’t seem too likely, given how well he knew the two of them.

Till this moment, Anthony was still surprised that a man like Clement could even talk to a woman, let alone fall in love. That guy didn’t utter more than one hundred sentences per year. He was someone who simply covered himself in darkness and harvested souls like some mini Grim Reaper.

And Clement, being ever so tight-lipped, didn’t even tell the rest, like Spectre or Ross… well, not that he was obliged to tell them anything, but perhaps he should have. They were all friends.

But Anthony could understand why the man hadn’t said anything. He was sure that if Clement confessed anything, he would become the topic of attention every single time they all gathered, and Clement wasn’t exactly the type of guy who liked being the centre of attention.

Anthony, ever the overthinker, had already imagined what the children between Aura Nova and Clement would look like and how absurdly overpowered they would both become.

And also within the past three weeks, Anthony had spent his time with almost no one else but Vega. Due to the fact that Vega was not going to the same Upper Galaxy as him, they spent as much time together as possible. They went on dates to places they had never been to before. And using Authority Of Information, Anthony found a few secret locations, ancient ruins, and forgotten civilizations from the olden ages, dating back a couple of million years, scattered across the Blue Planet.

They explored these places as dates, something no sane couple would do, as secret and ancient places like these most often led to death. But Anthony and Vega were simply too powerful to be killed by some random ancient schemes or traps.

The rewards, artifacts, skill books, and everything else they obtained from such explorations were useless to them. So Anthony and Vega decided to visit random places, dig into the ground for a couple of meters, one or two, and bury any of the rewards there for anyone with enough luck, or some cliché level of immense Destiny and Fate, to discover on their own. Perhaps, somewhere in the distant future, those treasures would become life-changing opportunities for complete strangers.

And Vega, who loved aquatic life, convinced Anthony, and the two of them dove into the deepest parts of every ocean and sea on the planet, with Vega capturing and studying any fish or marine life form she deemed rare.

Although Anthony wasn’t particularly interested in such things, he simply sat by her side, listened, and watched Vega work her magic as she stared at aquatic life forms with a fascination Anthony could never truly understand. Even so, seeing the genuine excitement in her eyes was more than enough to keep him company throughout the countless hours they spent beneath the waters.

And of course, Anthony had to use Authority Of Information to gain knowledge on every aquatic life form within the Blue Planet just so he could keep pace with Vega’s vast knowledge. Otherwise, every conversation they had about marine life would have ended with him standing there completely clueless while she enthusiastically explained one species after another.

Anthony didn’t visit Reynold, Seraphim, or Dale anymore. His Perfect One ability activated every now and then as he found out that Warlord Raelith was looking for information on him. Anthony was sure the man wanted to say thanks due to the gift he had hidden within the envelope he gave the man earlier.

As for what was within the envelope? Well… Anthony had hidden a Sword-type Physique inside it, and when Warlord Raelith tore open the envelope, he immediately acquired the Physique.

Anthony didn’t need the man’s thanks, so any information Warlord Raelith managed to obtain, he simply altered through the Perfect One skill.

And although Anthony had once concluded that he had no one else to say goodbye to, he remembered that he had neglected the maids, butlers, and guards within the Null Estate, especially Patrick, his father’s personal butler and right-hand man.

These maids, butlers, and guards had been there for him since the beginning of his story and journey. They had gossiped with him during the times when he had no friends to visit and could only remain within the Null Estate, aside from the occasions when Head Butler Patrick drove him around.

These same people had given him a farewell bow when he went to join the military over a year ago. Truly, the love they had for him was immense. So he informed them about the Ascension, not going into too much detail as most of them were only at the Mortal Rank, being A Rank, S Rank, or thereabouts.

And because Anthony told them he was leaving, these people showered him with gifts. Although Anthony didn’t need any of them, he accepted and kept every single one. While some of the items might have been expensive and others rather ordinary, they all possessed immense sentimental value. And Anthony cherished every one of them.

And of course, Anthony had already added them all to the list of those who would attend his wedding when the time finally came. Even with their Mana Rank, each of them could live for a couple of centuries without dying mysteriously, and Anthony sincerely hoped that every single one of them would still be there to witness that day alongside him.
