Chapter 1368: Pitiful Struggle

Chapter 1368: Pitiful Struggle

Anthony sighed. He was sort of torn on what to do. He wanted to intervene and end this fight as soon as possible so they could return, but if he did that, he would be cutting off their gains from this battle. Although they had gained enough, enough was never enough. After all, there was never a limit.

Anthony turned his gaze to the side, and there he could see the Eternal Apexes from the River Of Night Territory. They were hiding and waiting, ready to pounce on whichever Eternal Apex returned from the battle between Anthony and the Eternal Apexes.

Anthony was tempted to move and wipe them out, but he decided to spare them because of The Silent Drop.

Anthony turned towards the battlefield happening below as he finally decided to intervene. Thought Conception came alive as he activated it, and with a thought, he fast-forwarded Time for the entirety of the Hellinder Realm.

Reality in Anthony’s eyes blurred as everything moved at over ten times its speed. The Eternal Apexes from various Territories and Organizations across the entire Hellinder Realm and all Ten Grand Regions paused in whatever they were doing. Although others might not be able to sense it, they would feel it. Someone was fast-forwarding Time for the entirety of the Hellinder Realm.

Which was impossible, as not even the Greater Law Of Time could achieve such a ridiculous feat. They immediately tried to read the flow of power to track who could pull off such a feat. But the moment they tried, they got nothing, as the only source of Thought Conception was Anthony’s mental capacity.

And with that, the battle below finally came to an end. Not a true end, as even Chaos Betroth had been pushed to her brink, but even as she knelt on her two knees without her left arm, her ears still savored the taste of the battle as she seemed drunk.

The other Above Disciples were also facing their own dilemma, as even Chu Feng and the rest had all been pushed past their brinks. Only the Shadow Soldiers were fighting at this moment, as they were truly immortal.

Anthony finally made his presence known as space peeled around him like a blooming lotus. As he appeared, his aura erupted and slammed into the remaining forces that were alive. They all collapsed to their knees as their eyes flashed with fear.

Their heads tore upwards, and there they saw Anthony, who simply stared back down at them.

Their eyes widened in pure shock as they couldn’t believe what they were seeing. They had all assumed Anthony was toast and dead, yet he floated here. They searched for their own Eternal Apexes, yet found nothing.

Anthony, who seemed to have read their minds, proceeded to speak in a calm and flat tone.

"You may stop your pitiful struggle, as I’ve annihilated all Eternal Apexes and Ancient Behemoths."

His words sounded like a thunderclap across the night sky in their ears as their souls shook in pure horror. They had guessed this; it was the only explanation, but they dared not believe it. A single being, a single man winning against over one hundred Eternal Apexes was unheard of.

They weren’t the only ones who were speechless. The Eternal Apexes from the River Of Night were also speechless. They couldn’t believe what they had just heard. It sounded like some joke, but this was a battlefield, not some theater. They frowned as they began to reconsider their plans to sneak-attack those who made it back.

If over a hundred Eternal Apexes with diverse Laws lost, then what of them with similar Laws?

"I shall offer you the chance to end this yourself through suicide, or I would do it myself, and I won’t guarantee it won’t be painful and agonizing."

Anthony spoke once more, his tone extremely flat, as though he was addressing a bunch of lower species. He snapped his fingers, and a ten-second countdown for them to commit suicide appeared.

At the timer, many gritted their teeth and began to commit suicide, as they didn’t know what Anthony might do to them for being alive. But some people didn’t. They couldn’t just kill themselves; not everyone possessed such a mindset and Will to do such a thing.

As the time ended, Anthony didn’t wait. He simply waved his hand, and with a boom, the space within their bodies and in between their organs collapsed and detonated outwards in a shattering force. Their bodies exploded into smithereens and splatters of blood.

The organs, pieces of organs, and flesh instantly drenched Chaos Betroth, Chu Feng, Lora Vake, Tory Hale, and Jerry, their bodies covered in gore.

Anthony waved his hand once more, the Shadow Soldiers vanishing as they had served their purpose perfectly. They all had smiles on their faces as they were satisfied with participating in such a huge battle.

Anthony’s eyes shifted towards the side as the Shadow Soldiers vanished into his shadow. In the direction he gazed at, the Eternal Apexes of the River Of Night Territory were there. As they sensed his gaze, they immediately turned and fled, their bodies flashing with their Laws as they covered the distance in an instant.

They didn’t dare bank on Anthony not wiping them out. They wouldn’t be so foolish. Only The Silent Drop remained. She stared at him with gentle eyes as her eyes told her to move forward, as he was her path to the next level of Existence.

She sighed. Although she wanted to move forward, she knew now was neither the place nor the time. Anthony and his people needed time to heal their injuries and discuss. She couldn’t be so insensitive at this moment. She had waited thousands of years; what was a decade or century more?

With that, she turned and vanished from her spot.

Anthony watched her leave. He shook his head, not stopping the woman. Unfortunately, he was taken and couldn’t do what she wanted. With that, he turned his attention to his people below.
