Chapter 1396: The Exception To Everything

Chapter 1396: The Exception To Everything

Jarod wore a smile on his face as he stared into the sky. He couldn’t help but think of how much his life had changed over the past month. He had been a servant, well, he was still a servant, but now he was no ordinary servant. He was now Anthony’s Servant, and that in itself was a status above anything else.

Various people would come to know his name and show him immense respect, something no servant within the entire Null Sect had ever received. With that thought in mind, he spun on his feet and followed his Master into the cottage without wasting too much time.

"My Lord, as you’ve been within The Sleeping Hollow for a while, does any meal interest you? I’ve spent some time recently improving and polishing my chef skills."

He stated as he followed behind Anthony, always staying two steps behind.

Anthony came to a halt at Jarod’s words. He hadn’t exactly had anything to eat for the past week, as the airship simply didn’t have any food, although it had a kitchen unit.

"Prepare the best you can."

Anthony stated after a moment, then continued moving forward, his destination being his room.

"As my Lord wishes."

Jarod stated as he bowed slowly. The moment Anthony left his sight, he turned and headed towards the kitchen, ready to showcase his improved skills. While he might pale in comparison to those grand chefs out there, who were capable of preparing meals that even Eternal Apexes would eat, he was still confident in himself.

Arriving at his room, Anthony collapsed face-first onto his bed, a muffled sigh escaping his lips as he stayed there for a moment. There was a difference between a bed at home and a bed somewhere else.

After a while, he turned onto his back and stared at the ceiling, his mind lost in thought as he couldn’t help but reminisce about everything that had happened thus far. In just one month, he had climbed to the peak of the Hellinder Realm.

Anthony knew that it wasn’t his talent alone that had gotten him that far. Yes, while his talent would inevitably have gotten him here, it should have taken a couple of years. He would have spent time comprehending various Laws, visiting Law Lands, and all that. But with the Thought Conception skill that ??? had given him, he had bypassed all these processes.

With a thought, he had mastered everything. With a thought, he had broken through every cultivation rank. Not only that, but even his Authority of Severance and Authority of Information, which he had at least used to train, no longer required such effort, as The Unbound had permanently increased his control over them to the utmost degree.

His skills had allowed him to become ridiculously absurd.

A smile appeared on his lips. He wasn’t complaining; he was appreciating it. After all, nobody was going to say no to something good simply because it was too much.

Thinking about the Eternal Apexes he had slaughtered, his smile widened even more. He wasn’t a madman who loved bloodshed or anything of the sort, but wiping the floor with people known as the strongest did provide a certain level of satisfaction, didn’t it?

As Anthony was lost in his thoughts, Jarod knocked on his door, his voice coming from behind it.

"My Lord, the meal has been prepared and served at your favourite spot."

His tone was respectful. Although barely a few minutes had passed, he had prepared everything using various abilities of his, as he didn’t have to wait for the cooker to reach a certain temperature or worry about such things.

Anthony rose to his feet and opened the door. Jarod was already standing to the side, out of the doorway. Anthony walked past him as he arrived at the exact spot he had discussed with Tory Hale the first time the man had visited him.

A cuisine had been laid out lavishly on the table. Anthony sat down, picked up his chopsticks, and began to eat. Although the food paled in comparison to what he could prepare himself, he had to admit that Jarod did seem to have a talent for this cooking business.

He stared through the window, lost in thought as he gazed at the bright clouds.

’Should I explore the Ecliptica Galaxy before I leave?’

He thought to himself as he put another piece of food into his mouth.

Although he hadn’t exactly toured the Acarnis Lower Galaxy, he had at least visited various planets, like the Celestial Solar System and Aura Nova’s Dusk Planet. He had even gone to the Divinora Galaxy, visited the Abyss where the Demon King resided, and visited the Spirit King.

He had gone to many places when he was there.

But that was because each progression in power pushed him towards various places and locations. If he had possessed something like the Thought Conception ability from the start, who knew how many of these places he would have actually visited?

’I will try to visit as many places as I can.’

Anthony concluded to himself, not bothering to think about it anymore.

His long white hair that flowed down his back and purple robe danced to the rhythm of the wind coming from the open window as he ate, the gentle breeze brushing against his face.

[Ding]

The system chimed, causing Anthony to pause in his motion as he wondered why the system was suddenly notifying him of something. But he didn’t ask, as he knew the system was getting to it.

[As the Host has become incredibly popular throughout the Hellinder Realm and a part of the Ecliptica Galaxy, the Galaxy has acknowledged a Title that the people believe in with their deepest hearts.]

Anthony arched an eyebrow. He had already gotten a Title, which wasn’t exactly surprising, but he hadn’t expected it to come now. Regardless, his curiosity stirred as he wondered what Title he had received.

He didn’t care about the boosts that Titles gave. All he cared about was whether it sounded cool enough to be said out loud. That was all.

[The Host has received the Title...]

[The Exception To Everything]

Anthony stayed focused on the Title for a moment, then let a smile appear on his face. He wouldn’t lie; it was perfectly fitting. It seemed too perfect, even, as he was simply an exception to everything.

Anthony understood why people had come to think of him this way. Everyone who truly knew about him, from every major powerhouse and organization to the minor-level ones, knew he had only been here for a month. They knew of all his feats, from the Blue Planet to the Acarnis Lower Galaxy.

So, although they hadn’t given him the Title themselves, it was something they had come to understand, and the Ecliptica Galaxy had simply acknowledged it and generated a Title from it.

[Title Effects: ....None]

Reading the Title’s effects, Anthony was speechless. Where was the boost? Where was the spike in comprehension, abilities, skills, and whatnot that came with an official Title?

And a Title like The Exception To Everything was supposed to grant something outrageous.
