Chapter 4455: Rift I

"The last drop," I said, looking at the shining metallic yellow drop in front of me, which is radiating yellow.

People would go crazy if they knew what it is. The drop contains a powerful law, the law of metallic sun.

I had gathered it from the metal piece I had gotten from the madwoman. I could have extracted a pure sun law from it, but there wasn’t much of a law power.

Even with my best effort. At least a quarter or even a third would have been lost.

I turned into a fruit of a metal essence tree. Two fruits exactly, and then I had extracted its essence.

It’s not the pure sun anymore, but a metallic sun. It didn’t matter since I only focused on the sun aspect of it and discarded the metal part.

In the past two and a half months since we dealt with the Itornas, I have made rapid progress in the law of the sun thanks to this.

Now, only a drop had remained.

I resisted taking the last drop for the past two weeks. Instead, focus on other laws. The laws help each other, especially when these laws have merged before.

I took a deep breath, and a moment later, the drop came into my mouth.

I closed my eyes immediately and appeared beside my library. I entered and sat in my usual spot, before closing my eyes and focusing on the sun part of my constitution.

Soon, I saw a metallic sun.

There is a silver sun in front of me. It is a metal ball, radiating metallic element light. I focused on the sun part and ignored everything else.

It’s harder than one could imagine. For the first few times, I had failed spectacularly.

If I wanted to, I could have comprehended the law of metal, but four are already more than enough for me. I don’t want to comprehend any more of them, no matter how enticing they seemed.

I focused on it, examining its aspects under the sun, and trying to understand those that I find suitable.

That is key in comprehending. If one focuses on everything, it becomes harder to comprehend. It is the same for focusing on what one didn’t find suitable.

Soon, I had lost myself in the law and different aspects, that I found suitability with.

I don’t know how long it had passed, but when I came to myself, I was quite tired. However, that tiredness disappeared immediately when I noticed the progress I had made.

"Peak stage," I said with a shock.

I had reached the peak stage of the law of the sun. It is really hard to reach this stage. Immensely hard, and people have spent a long time to reach it.

Most people didn’t even reach this level of comprehension in their lives.

All my laws are at a late stage, but the law of the sun has reached the peak stage. I wish I could use it, but unfortunately, I couldn’t.

I couldn’t use it or the other laws. I could only comprehend them.

It is frustrating, as laws would have made a lot of things much easier to deal with.

I calm myself down and feel the new comprehension, before walking out of the library. I will return in a few minutes; there is an inheritance to be worked on.

I walked through my verdant core, where plants are at every step, with bees buzzing in a group.

A group of different bees is gathered around the domain of the plant. However, they didn’t dare to go inside, despite sensing mouthwatering nectar-filled plants.

The plant had reached the peak and had become more powerful.

The bees earlier were able to collect nectar, but now they cannot. Not even this generation, which is the fastest of all, could do it.

Though the next generation might.

One queen had reached the peak of the Prime and was producing a generation of bees, which seemed quite promising. I will know in a few weeks how capable it is.

I focused on the plan. Inside it. Saw a thing that put a smile on my face.

The core is absorbing a very faint amount of blood essence and soul essence. It is also absorbing the same amount of energy from the core.

It is eleven times more than its usual.

If I am not wrong, then it has begun the process of levelling up. It’s very slow in plants, but it has begun. It will take a long time, but in the core, it will be six times less.

One thing is sure, though, the plant will reach the Silver Prime before I do.

I returned to the library a few minutes later and began working on the inheritance till the afternoon, when I got out of my core and freshened up, before walking out of the abode.

The first thing I did was look up. It had sort of become a habit, but despite looking thousands of times, there is no rift.

It’s getting harder for people, with a few suffering from madness. I hope the rift will appear soon, because it will only get worse with time.

I nodded and talked to people as I walked. Could see how unbearable the wait is for them.

I wish I could do something about it, but I did everything I could on my part, and I hope that rift will come sooner.

Soon, I reached the square of the village and saw the gate. There are still a few people looking at it, including a cult leader.

He looked at me before turning back to the gate.

Even after months, it didn’t give up finding everything it could about it. I wish him good luck, because it is no harder than before.

The data helped, and I made a few changes. That made it difficult.

Soon, I reached the restaurant and sat down. There are people, I nodded at them, before ordering my food.

I didn’t have to wait for long. The server came, bringing my food.

"Here is, marest stew, berrisin roa"

She was stating the names when she stopped, seeing me suddenly freeze up.

"Finally, it had appeared," I said, and a moment later, the bell that everybody was waiting for had rung out through the village.
