Chapter 275: Young Lord Gray
Chapter 275: Young Lord Gray
"What are you waiting for? Hurry and capture that girl!"
Suddenly, a loud shout echoed from the fortress, releasing an aura that shook the entire city.
First Stage Ancient Sovereign.
Even with Richard’s increased strength, he still felt extremely threatened.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
A Legion clad in ice armor flew out from the fortress, radiating a piercing cold aura.
As they moved, they stirred up a massive snowstorm.
"Looks like Miss Holysnow has been found?" said the stall owner after the Legion departed.
"Hmph, there’s no way she can hide as long as she’s still in the Central Region," another stall owner added.
The Legion didn’t stay gone for long.
They soon returned to the fortress.
Not long after, another group arrived—hundreds of people escorting a magnificent carriage.
They were welcomed by major figures inside the fortress and entered through the main gate.
Richard knew Gray was inside, but he couldn’t see him.
He had no interest in interfering in this matter.
What surprised him was that less than an hour later, another group suddenly arrived with a massive flying ark shaped like a dragon, constantly crackling with thunder.
"The Thundervale Clan..." Their arrival shocked the city’s residents.
"Is Sean looking for Gray?"
"That must be it. I heard Gray boasted that he would kill Sean to convince the Central Region to support him."
"If Sean doesn’t defeat him, the Thundervale Clan won’t be able to maintain their reputation."
The ark stopped in front of the fortress.
"Gray, come out and face my elder brother!" shouted a muscular young man.
He was bare-chested, his body covered in black dragon tattoos.
His entire aura was so oppressive that even space seemed to strain under his presence.
Who else could it be but Roland Thundervale?
Compared to when Richard defeated him, he had grown much stronger.
Seven years had clearly brought him tremendous improvement.
But compared to him, Richard was more wary of another figure who appeared small among the members of the Thundervale Clan.
He wasn’t actually small—just the only one with a normal build among them.
His body was somewhat slender, and his face looked incredibly young.
One might think he was an easily bullied boy, as even his aura was calm.
However, that calmness came from his perfect control over his power.
Although Roland was said to be comparable to him in talent, the difference in controlling a violent power like lightning made all the difference.
This gap became even more apparent at higher realms.
"Will Gray come out?" people wondered.
There was no need to guess.
Gray did come out, accompanied by several senior members of the Order of the Peak World.
He still looked just as young, with a handsome face and white hair.
His aura was deep and mysterious.
However, only his appearance remained the same. Richard noticed many differences—especially his eyes, which now seemed cold and indifferent.
If he hadn’t seen him in person, Richard might not have realized he was Gray.
The biggest change was his power.
It was no longer the power Gray used to cultivate.
Of course, there had to be changes—how else could he have reached this level with Tier 2 Aether?
And now, it was clear his Aether had already advanced to Tier 3.
Gray stared sharply toward the Thundervale Clan’s ark.
BANG!
Roland suddenly leapt down and landed in front of him, holding his greatsword.
"What are you doing?" Gray asked.
"I alone am enough to deal with you. Here, I will cut off your head to remind the world of the price of provoking the Thundervale Clan," Roland replied.
In terms of realm, both of them were at the early stage of the Ruler Realm. It was fitting for them to fight, since Sean had already been in the Ruler Realm for over five years.
He had gone much further.
"Just you?" Gray sneered.
He then looked toward Sean, who was calmly watching from atop the ark.
"Why don’t you come down now? Are you going to watch your little brother die here?" he said.
"How arrogant..." Members of the Thundervale Clan immediately shouted in anger.
"Who do you think you are? You’re just a nobody who rose through dirty methods."
"That’s right—otherwise, you wouldn’t even qualify to be a servant in our clan."
They cursed at Gray, who chose to ignore them.
"No, Miss has escaped again!"
Suddenly, another shout came from inside the fortress.
An old man hurried over to Gray in panic.
"Young Lord, Miss has escaped again. Her old servant somehow teleported her out of our fortress and even gave her a cloak that can evade Sixth Sense detection. Even with the Snow Ancestor’s Sixth Sense, we can’t find her nearby—but she should still be somewhere around this city," the old man reported with a guilty expression.
Gray had already given them the promised bride price. If he didn’t get Elise, he could demand even greater compensation.
"We must find her quickly. If she gets too far away, it will take even longer to locate her again," the old man added.
Gray’s expression immediately darkened.
He was just one step away—but now it was delayed again.
And this was clearly because of the sudden arrival of the Thundervale Clan.
At the same time, Richard was stunned as he suddenly saw a black-robed figure appear in the stall’s kitchen.
From the figure’s extremely slender frame, he could tell it was a woman.
And perhaps sensing something unusual, the woman looked toward the front of the stall instead of immediately leaving through the kitchen door.
In that instant, Richard saw her face—a beautiful young face with slightly flushed skin and smooth light-blue hair.
Who else could it be but Elise?
She was just as shocked when she saw him.
Many had already forgotten Richard’s face after his seven-year disappearance—especially in the Central Region, where most people only knew his name.
But how could Elise not recognize him?
Even though they weren’t particularly close, she had once teamed up and interacted with him in Boundless City.
