Chapter 1217: Pause
Chapter 1217: Pause
Aurora remained silent for a few moments after finishing her explanation before finally speaking.
"That should be enough for now. You don’t need to fill your head with everything at once."
She waved her hand, and several objects appeared in the empty space between us.
A number of ancient scrolls floated in the air, each one sealed with a faint golden mark. Beside them were several thick books whose covers were filled with strange patterns, along with a few fist-sized crystals glowing with a soft blue light.
I looked at the collection with some surprise.
"These contain everything I have told you," Aurora explained. "And considerably more. The scrolls contain detailed information about Origin, Origin integration, Authority, and the Demi-God realm. The books contain records and experiences accumulated by both me and Amun. The crystals contain certain forms of direct comprehension that are difficult to convey through ordinary words."
She gathered everything together and sent it toward me.
"You can study them whenever you need. They should give you a much clearer understanding of what lies ahead."
I opened my storage ring and carefully stored everything inside.
Aurora then looked at me.
"I will give you one day. One day to finish whatever you need to finish here. Say your goodbyes. Arrange everything that needs to be arranged. After that, I will take you directly to the secret dimension."
I nodded.
There was no point delaying it.
"I understand."
Aurora gave me a small smile. The next instant, her figure faded into the Void, leaving me alone with my thoughts.
I remained there for some time.
The information she had given me continued circulating through my mind. There was an enormous amount I still needed to understand, but I did not intend to rush into it blindly. Aurora had given me everything she could for now, and I would spend the coming months making full use of it.
Still, before any of that began, there were things I needed to take care of.
The first was Abor.
I had no intention of leaving Blue Spiral Galaxy without making proper arrangements.
If I was going to disappear for six months, I needed to make sure nothing happened to the people and places I had spent so much effort building.
With that thought, I returned directly to the Absolute Palace.
When I arrived, Steve, North, and Vivi were already sitting around a large table in one of the palace halls. There were several drinks in front of them, and judging by the relaxed atmosphere, they had apparently been enjoying themselves without me.
Steve noticed me first.
"Well, look who finally decided to come back."
I ignored his comment and pulled out a chair before sitting down with them. The three of them quickly noticed that something was different about me.
I looked at them and told them everything Aurora had explained.
The conversation became much quieter as I described the Demi-God realm, the upcoming meeting in Prime Galaxy, the war against the Eternals, and the six-month deadline Amun had given me.
By the time I finished, even Steve had stopped making jokes.
"So you’re actually leaving for six months?" North asked.
"Yes."
She nodded slowly, while Vivi simply stared at me for a few seconds.
Then she frowned.
"You’re coming back, right?"
I smiled.
"Of course."
That seemed to satisfy her enough. After that, we moved on to the more practical matter.
I needed to make sure Blue Spiral Galaxy remained safe while I was gone.
Fortunately, the greatest safeguard was already sitting at the table with us.
Vivi was connected directly to the galaxy. As long as that connection remained intact, she would be able to sense any major disturbance within Blue Spiral Galaxy. Any invasion, unusual energy fluctuation, or large-scale movement would immediately come to her attention.
Still, I did not intend to rely on a single layer of protection.
I asked Steve and North to remain in the galaxy and keep watch while I was away. They were both Saints now, and with the resources available on Abor, there was plenty they could do to strengthen themselves during those six months.
I also turned toward Vivi.
"And no more conquering galaxies for now."
Her face immediately fell.
"Why?"
"Because I won’t be here."
She opened her mouth to argue, but I continued before she could.
"Stay here. Protect Blue Spiral Galaxy and focus on becoming stronger. Once I return, we can decide what to do next."
Vivi looked disappointed, but after a moment she nodded.
"Fine."
I smiled.
"That is all I need from you."
With that settled, I looked at the three of them.
"For the next six months, focus on your own strength. Protect Abor, protect Blue Spiral Galaxy, and don’t take unnecessary risks. Once I return, we’ll see how things have changed and decide where we go from there."
There was no need to make the farewell dramatic. I wasn’t dying.
I was simply leaving to become stronger. Still, knowing what waited beyond the next six months made the departure feel different.
Before leaving, I had one more person to visit.
"I’m going to see Grandma."
Steve gave me a knowing look but said nothing. I left the palace and headed toward one of the residential areas of the capital.
My grandmother’s house was located in a quiet part of the city, far from the noise of the central districts. By now, the capital had become enormous, but her home still felt much like the place I remembered.
I arrived outside and walked straight in. She was home.
For a moment, she simply stared at me.
Then her eyes widened.
"Billion?"
A smile immediately spread across her face.
"You’re back."
Before I could say anything else, she hurried toward me and pulled me into a hug.
"Oh, you’re finally back."
I couldn’t help but smile as I hugged her back.
"Grandma."
She pulled away and looked at me carefully, as if making sure I was really standing in front of her.
"You’ve grown so much. Every time I see you, you look different."
I chuckled softly.
"There is something I need to tell you."
Her expression became curious.
"What is it?"
I took a breath. Then I told her about the people I had met in the Null Realm.
About my parents. About the fact that they were safe.
I told her that I had seen them with my own eyes, that they were doing well, and that Grandfather was also fine.
For a long moment, she simply stared at me.
Then tears began filling her eyes.
"So they are really okay?"
I nodded.
"They’re okay."
She covered her mouth with one hand as tears rolled down her cheeks.
After everything she had carried for so long, the relief on her face was impossible to miss.
"They’re okay..."
She repeated the words quietly, almost as if she needed to hear them again.
Then she laughed through her tears. She wiped her eyes.
"Finally, I can die in peace."
I couldn’t help but chuckle.
"There is no need to die yet, Grandma."
She glared at me through her tears.
"You’re telling your grandmother when she can die now?"
"I’m saying you have plenty of time left."
That made her laugh. I smiled before continuing.
"I still have to leave again."
Her expression softened.
"Another journey?"
"Another training."
I nodded. "It may take some time, but I’ll come back after that. I’ll visit you again."
She looked at me for a few seconds before finally smiling.
"Then go."
Her voice was gentle.
"Become stronger. Do whatever you need to do. Just remember to come back."
"I will."
I hugged her once more before leaving.
By the time I stepped outside, the sky above the capital had already begun changing colors.
There was still plenty of time before I had to leave.
So instead of returning immediately to the palace, I decided to spend the rest of the day doing something much simpler.
I went back to Steve, North, and Vivi.
And for the remainder of that day, there was no cultivation, no war, no Eternals, and no discussion about becoming a Demi-God.
We simply traveled through Abor.
We visited the different cities, walked through the crowded streets of the Trade City, watched the activity around the Academy, passed through the military districts, and spent time exploring places that had not existed the last time I had called Abor home.
