Chapter 526: Law of Spirit and Spirit Domain

The world tree was magnificent to say the least. It had long branches as big as the alliance, which contained thousands and thousands of galaxies, and the leaves of the branches were in fact as big as stars.

This was just the top part of the tree.

"What is the elf alliance like?" Grey asked Aerin as he curiously looked at the alliance through the window of his ship.

"We are classified into High Elves, Dark Elves, White Elves, Blood Elves, and Spirit Elves. I am part of the High Elven tribe. We were the first to be birthed by the world tree, and the world tree itself granted us the name High Elves. For us, the sun is the same for the entire alliance; the world tree gives our planet light. We all excel at something. Us High Elves excel at everything, Dark Elves excel at the law of darkness, White Elves excel at the law of light, Blood Elves excel at the law of life, and Spirit Elves excel at the law of spirit."

"We have our own territories, classified into the High Domain, Dark Domain, White Domain, Blood Domain, and Spirit Domain. Among our domains, the spirit domain is the most special one and gets the most tourists because it exists in an illusory state, or rather a spirit world. It is neither real nor fake. That is because the spirit elves are in essence spirits, and their bodies are also made out of spirit energy."

"Only fifth ranks and above can enter this world, as physical bodies cannot trespass into the spirit domain."

"Of course, that includes White, Dark, and Blood elves. They all have physical appearances until the fifth rank. Hence, contact with the spirit domain can only be achieved via the world tree connection."

"You could even say it is a virtual world that exists but does not exist at the same time."

"Fascinating," Alan Benson said. "I have heard about it before, but never had the chance to enter the area as I had already left the universe before the alliance was made."

Grey glanced at Alan when he heard this. "I guess you only left that phantom in the creator space before leaving."

Alan nodded.

"Spirit elves. Take me there first." Grey was curious about this place.

Aerin sighed. She was excited to bring Grey to the High Domain, but it seemed like he had a different plan.

But that had been the same since the time the elves allied with the humans; the humans only cared about the illusory world.

The Dragon Monarch received the spatial coordinates of the Spirit Domain, and soon they reached the edges of the Spirit Domain. It was blinking in and out of the world as if it were a breathing entity, and it was connected to the world tree.

Soon they crossed over, and Grey immediately felt a difference in dimensionality.

"Is this a 2D world?" Grey was baffled. He realized the XYZ axes of space were altered. There was only an X and Y.

However, the discomfort only lasted a bit as he adjusted to this new world.

He had automatically adjusted to this world even faster than others because he was a frequential being. Frequency can bleed into even lower dimensions like the first dimension.

"They are moving forward and backward?" Grey was initially surprised, but it made sense.

This world was not necessarily 2D just because it lost its Z axis. Forward and backward functioning was being made through several layers around this domain.

There was an infinite amount of layers in this world. How they moved forward and backward was by micro-teleporting into those layers, and it was being powered by the world tree.

"It looks like those animations I used to watch back in my world." Grey blinked.

At the same time, an evolver’s power and things related to evolution were extremely powerful.

Once he was at a high enough level, he too could make 2D worlds and create his own plot, story, or whatever he desired.

There were spaceships and planets everywhere. He saw unnaturally long space beasts roaming the area and a gigantic air balloon showing the news of the spirit domain.

"Another great day in the spirit domain! The beast hunting games will soon begin. I know everyone is excited..."

The spaceship tore past the air balloon as it continued going deep. Here, he even saw a star wearing cooling glasses smiling back at the ship and giving an imaginary thumbs up.

Grey knew this was a star spirit at one glance.

Soon, the spaceship docked at the coordinates Aerin had given them.

This was the main area of the Spirit Elf Domain, where the ruler elf of the spirit domain lived. He was a powerful eighth ranker.

"Welcome, Saint Grey." The Spirit Elf Elder welcomed him and the others in with a kind look on his face.

"Thanks." Grey nodded and entered the palace.

At the same time, his mind was running. After observing the elves, his mind was set ablaze.

He had understood the emerging pattern of the spirit elves.

’It is not energy they use to cultivate, but rather the law of spirit.’

These elves. They are drawing on the law of spirit’s power!

This was spirit power.

It worked on the law of spirit.

The soul was oneself, while the spirit was the thing that kept one going. Most importantly, this was tied to willpower!

Of course, this cannot be mistaken for spiritual energy. Spirit power and spiritual energy were different.

His comprehension of the Law of Spirit was soaring by leaps and bounds.

And that was because he was looking at the Spirit Elf Elder, or rather, the Spirit Ancestor.

He was the current law of spirit, the being that reached the great circle with the law. Everyone using the law would need to have his permission to do so.

Soon, the law of spirit reached minor succession.

He understood why this world was 2D and cartoonish.
