Chapter 603: Become an Infinity Dragon?
Chapter 603: Become an Infinity Dragon?
Neither of them could process what they had just witnessed.
Wang Lin looked between Alissa and Ouroboros. "The aura both of them have..." He swallowed hard. "It’s identical."
Melissa shook her head. "Alissa, what happened here?" she asked with a dumbfounded expression.
Alissa also shook her head. She did not know how to explain it either.
Melissa turned to Grey, but he did not have a definite answer for this either.
Silence filled the room for some time while Ouroboros just stood there with a smile.
Grey smiled faintly and broke the silence. "Let’s continue this conversation inside. We will have a better picture of the situation."
Grey led everyone inside the tower, and the massive doors closed behind them. The interior was vast and elegant, with crystalline walls that softly reflected the ambient light.
Everyone took their seats around a large, dark circular table. Ouroboros casually sat beside Alissa. She settled into her chair as if she had always belonged there. She did not care at all.
Grey chose this room so he wouldn’t accidentally offend the world-ending Infinity Dragon that was with them.
Alissa appeared noticeably uncomfortable. Her shoulders were slightly tense. She kept glancing toward Ouroboros, her blue eyes filled with uncertainty.
She was completely surprised by this change of events, but the fact that Grey was here with her made it easier. She knew even if things went wrong, he would be there to save her.
She silently stared at Grey. Grey noticed this but didn’t say anything. If he said anything, it was possible that Ouroboros might catch onto their mental link and overhear their conversation.
Grey looked toward Ouroboros, his expression slowly turning serious. "Senior, how exactly are you related to Alissa?" He leaned forward slightly. "And why did this connection only appear now? Or did you just discover this?"
Ouroboros smiled calmly. Her fingers lightly tapped the table. "You are overthinking it, kiddo. We’re just connected through Essence. To put it into perspective, I am the reason she successfully achieved a complete True Dragon Transformation at the second rank."
She glanced toward Alissa with a smile. "Despite originally being only half-human, she is now partially an Infinity Dragon after I gave her my essence to rescue her."
She continued, her tone becoming more serious. "Every True Source Dragon is connected to me, so I immediately sensed her situation. During her breakthrough into the Second Rank, she should have exploded."
Hearing this, Grey froze. The second rank? It was after the incident in Blue Star with the High Order. That was also when Alissa turned into a complete person while undergoing her transformation.
"Her soul lacked sufficient metadata regarding a complete True Source Dragon," Ouroboros explained. "The transformation process was fundamentally incomplete. True Source Dragons are not normal races, hence it wasn’t as simple as just changing races by letting evolution fill in the gap. Therefore, I personally granted her part of my own Source."
Grey’s eyes narrowed slightly when he heard this.
"That stabilized the transformation and allowed it to succeed," Ouroboros sighed softly. "However, doing so exposed my location. The Paragons immediately sensed my presence, and since then I had been constantly fleeing from them." She smiled wryly. "That is everything. They are after my Power over Infinity."
"It must have been hard, Senior Ouroboros," Grey said with a sigh. He had dealt with a Paragon too and knew how hard it was. Normal energy simply couldn’t affect beings who possessed ascendancy power.
Melissa, who was attentively listening until now, suddenly froze. Realization crashed over her. "Ouroboros?" she whispered. "You’re Ouroboros?"
Ouroboros blinked, tilted her head curiously, and then laughed. "Of course I am. How did you fail to recognize me?" She gestured toward Melissa. "You are my kin. You should have recognized me already."
Melissa’s breathing became uneven. Her chest rose and fell rapidly. She immediately stood up and bowed deeply without hesitation. Her forehead nearly touched the table. "Melissa greets the True Source Ancestor. Please forgive this junior’s ignorance."
Ouroboros waved her hand casually. "Enough, I never cared about formalities. Sit."
Melissa slowly sat back down. Her movements were stiff. She still couldn’t calm herself, her hands gripping her knees tightly. Now she didn’t care whether Ouroboros called Alissa her daughter or not. To Ouroboros, even Melissa was a daughter. She was the origin of the True Source.
Ouroboros gently looked toward Alissa, her expression softening. "I will remain here for a while. I still have something to do." She smiled warmly. "I want to help my daughter awaken her Infinity Dragon side."
Alissa blinked in surprise. Grey also looked surprised, his eyebrows rising slightly.
"Infinity Dragon..." Grey looked at Ouroboros with newfound respect. "You hid it incredibly well, Senior." He leaned back in his chair. "As far as I was concerned, I never sensed anything unusual inside Alissa."
Ouroboros chuckled with a hint of pride. "It was just a simple trick." She looked directly at Grey. "I know you can observe metadata. I also know you are capable of rewriting it via frequency."
She gestured toward Julie, who was observing from the side. "That little girl can already be considered a complete dragon. Not even the Mecha Race can accomplish something like that."
Grey’s expression immediately changed. He frowned deeply. "Even the Mecha Race?"
He genuinely hadn’t expected that answer. The ability to observe metadata, understand it, and then reconstruct it into something entirely different—that was precisely why he could completely change someone’s race and rewrite their very existence. He had always assumed the Mecha Race possessed similar capabilities with their advanced technology. Apparently, that wasn’t the case.
Ouroboros calmly shook her head. "No, perhaps their ruler, the Mecha King, can do it. But nobody else can achieve it. What you accomplished is beyond ordinary racial reconstruction." She smiled faintly. "You rewrote the very foundation of existence. Perhaps if you had this power back then, I wouldn’t have needed to step in to help Alissa."
"You are effectively a god with that power of yours. If I am not wrong, you can also reconstruct an entity with the power of frequency."
The room immediately fell silent. Nobody spoke after hearing the truth, especially Grey’s parents. Their kid had already reached the realm of gods? But he was only 18!
Alissa blinked several times before looking toward Grey.
Grey simply smiled awkwardly. "What can I say? I just happened to have a good comprehensive power. The power is not that special."
Ouroboros shook her head. "Not at all. Only someone standing at your level would think such a feat is ordinary. Your power can change the tide of any situation and the structure of reality itself. I hope you won’t reveal this power to anyone."
The room fell into silence again. Being called a god by Ouroboros herself—the origin of the True Source Dragons and one of the oldest and strongest beings in existence—carried unimaginable weight.
Then Ouroboros turned toward Alissa. "Would you like to start now, my daughter? I believe you can actually turn into a full-fledged Infinity Dragon like me if we have your boyfriend with us."
She turned toward Grey and smiled. "What do you think, boyfriend?"
"I am fine with it." Grey nodded. "But what if I want to become an Infinity Dragon?"
"Feel free!" Ouroboros burst out laughing. "If you can become one as well, then I will be more than happy."
"Huh? Why is that?" Grey asked in confusion. Usually, people hesitated to give their inheritance to someone. Why was she happy?
"Because there is only one of me in this world. Why wouldn’t I want more people like me?" Ouroboros said with a smile. "I will help you to the best of my ability."
Then, a telepathic voice came through to Grey. "I also know that you are interested in the State Power of Infinity."
Hearing this, Grey replied with telepathy. "I am interested in that, Senior. I am also interested in matters concerning the ascendancy domain."
"I know you are," Ouroboros chuckled. "We will talk about it after you become an Infinity Dragon."
"Yes, Senior," Grey said with excitement.
Infinity Dragon? That was something he wanted. After talking for some more time, he went with Ouroboros and Alissa to a secluded private training room to start the change.
Not only that, he also wanted to get more information on the Ascendancy Domain.
This person was someone who had deep connection to the Ascendancy Domain and perhaps Ouroboros had the necessary information on what State Power was and How it was used in the Ascendancy Domain.
It was clear that Ascendancy Power was not the only Power there now.
"First of all, I will demonstrate my powers more closely," Ouroboros said. A thoughtful look appeared on her face. "But this small room isn’t enough."
As she said that, she snapped her fingers.
Boom!
The space around them began to infinitely expand at an alarming rate, and it wasn’t stopping. It stretched to infinity.
Seeing this, Grey’s eyes widened. He looked at the spatial nodes around him in complete surprise.
